We had breakfast here this morning and it was great. Ordered and sat outside. He had a dirty chia latte with the breakfast sandwich (honestly not sure which one but he said it was good). I had the English muffin sandwich with a side of fruit. Side of berries for only $2. Much higher priced other places. I loved the spicy sauce on the sandwich! Easy to find parking. Friendly staff. They apologized for the wait- it's wasn't an issue. There was a slight issue with my order and they fixed it immediately without issue and apologized several times. Not necessary but nice. This is a cute little neighborhood gem. It reminds me of the small coffee shops and cafes I've come across in the Hollywood area. My friend and I just happened upon it while looking for coffee after a nice walk at the beach. Starbucks is always so crowded and I find ordering anything there but a coffee nerve-wracking. The staff here are very friendly, and helpful. The place is clean, even the restroom! Service is quick, too. I really enjoy just a simple coffee with oat milk. I get that Starbucks has that option, too, but this place just has that neighborhood feel that has you wanting to just relax indoors or outdoors for a quick bite and a coffee. It just has that feel about it. I've never felt like hanging out much at a Starbucks for too long. I'm not knocking their biz, just saying this place has a warm and fuzzy feeling about it. Really great local place to have coffee and breakfast. The service and staff are very friendly and helpful. Their homemade tamales are great and make a really good breakfast with eggs. They have an outdoor patio if you want to sit outside and bring your dog plus the inside has tables and a nice couch. Try the cafe de olla if you like a slightly sweet coffee. read more

On December 26th, we ordered 5 avocado breakfast burritos from La Terraza. We took them down to the beach and got the family all set up and discovered none of the burritos had avocado, notwithstanding the print out of the order indicating avocado five times, in red print no less, and us paying an extra $2.50 per burrito for avocado. Called the restaurant and after a little back and forth (they initially blamed Door Dash for mixing up the order but we didn't use Door Dash, I picked them up in person), they said they'd refund us the cost of the avocado (pretty much the minimum remedy). Unfortunately, it's been over a week and no refund has been forthcoming. We usually love La Terraza but they whiffed on this one. read more

Went to finally try this place. Ordered an oat milk latte and and oat milk cappuccino. We waited approx. 20 minutes before saying something to the staff. In that 20 minutes, there was a period of about 5 minutes where neither of the girls in the front were doing anything. After saying something, the gal responded with pushback and bad attitude. After another few minutes we finally got our coffee, and as we were leaving the same girl heckled at us that we could order online next time. My mocha was great! Had the last drop and wanted more. The patio area was welcoming and made me wanted to sit and enjoy my cup.

It's a nice spot for a Saturday-morning coffee. I enjoyed my vanilla latte and the staff was very friendly. And I really appreciated that there was enough seating. A lot of these cute cafes that pop up barely have space for you to walk inside, let alone sit. But this spot had a good amount of seating inside, and they have a small patio outside as well. They're right on PCH, so cars would pass by as you're on the patio. However, look in the opposite direction, and the beach is right down the street. It makes it a convenient location, as I did see a couple all fitted in biking gear, ride up from the direction of the beach and have a nice meal. I haven't had the food yet, but I felt bad for the man I was sitting next to, as I couldn't keep my eyes off his plate. It looked so good - and he devoured all of it lol. read more

The only reason for the low rating is that they had my friend waiting 40 minutes for a waffle because they lost track of their order and accidentally gave it to someone else. Everything was absolutely delicious! The breakfast burrito was the perfect size, not the very large and difficult to finish. The Belgium waffle was moist and paired perfectly with the sparkling americano (this is a must try)! The avocado toast had thick chunks of avocado and it was seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Street parking is available. Customer service is excellent and efficient. I had a bad experience. Trying to order my food was the first issue. I called twice and finally gave up and ordered in person so that i could look at the menu. The girl on phone had the same issue in person. What i said went no questions asked. For example I'd like a side of eggs, "yup you got them, anything else?" After I asked well how do your eggs come? Then she says "oh you can have them scrambled, over easy . . Then the food, I ordered two identical plates of French toast for my kids with Nutella.
