Lahaina Noon at the Royal Lahaina Resort has become a must-visit stop for us every time we're in town. We truly appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, with a less crowded restaurant scene that lets us unwind. The free parking is a huge bonus, and the friendly service always makes us feel welcome. The view of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking, and it's not unusual for us to spot humpback whales playing in the distance during our winter daytime visits. For lunch, our favorites are the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and the poke bowl, both of which are consistently fresh and delicious. On our latest trip, we decided to branch out and try the Paniolo Beef Smash Burger. We were so glad we did--the burger was outstanding, with beef that was both juicy and perfectly crisped, served on a soft brioche bun. It was definitely a highlight! This year, with the holiday rush, we also chose to have our Christmas dinner at Lahaina Noon. The dinner buffet was impressive, featuring prime rib, ham, chicken, stuffed seafood pasta shells, mashed potatoes, and a tempting selection of desserts. I especially appreciated that they also offered a limited dinner menu, which gave us even more options. While most of our group enjoyed the buffet, I opted for the Crusted Mahi Mahi dinner with fried rice, and it was fantastic. Overall, we had two wonderful dining experiences at Lahaina Noon. Between the great food, welcoming staff, and unbeatable ocean views, we can't recommend this spot enough. We look forward to returning again and again. read more

We ate at Lahaina Noon our first night in Maui, and honestly it was the perfect way to start the trip. Right off the plane and straight into a Maui sunset with drinks in hand. Hard to beat that. The vibe here is excellent. It's right on the beach and poolside, so you're basically eating with ocean views and sunset colors everywhere. Definitely gives you that "we finally made it to Hawaii" feeling. The drinks and beers were solid, and the next day we came back and ordered the poke plate. The poke was very good and the portions were big. Prices were definitely on the higher side, but that's kind of expected at a resort restaurant. We also tried breakfast here. We ordered the chicken and waffles along with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The chicken and waffles honestly were not that great, but the traditional breakfast was good overall. The biggest surprise was the bill. Breakfast for two people with no drinks was around $100, which felt pretty steep. Service throughout our stay was good and everyone was friendly. Overall, this is a good option if you don't want to leave the resort or just want a relaxing meal with an incredible atmosphere. But if you really want the best food experience in Maui, I'd still recommend venturing out and trying more local spots. Great views, relaxing resort vibe, good service... just be prepared for resort pricing. read more

2nd try here during our stay. We only consumed 1 cup coffee as again the buffet condition appeared questionable. I watched kitchen staff inspecting the buffet and it appears that they are ok with this condition. Management knows about this and condones this behavior. I won't be going back to this restaurant after they let Ford go. He was the best thing about the place, always friendly, welcoming, and the only one who truly seemed to care about the customers' experience. He was the reason I kept coming back. It just won't be the same without him. They made a huge mistake letting him go. Whoever hires him next will be incredibly lucky! Sorry but knowing he was there made me want to return! We picked this place for the vegan sugar free options (six), and gluten free options (three). I chose the Upcountry Avocado Toast. I ate it so fast I could not get a picture. So yummy! I'll be back to try the other options. The service was good and the view was beautiful. read more

My husband and I chose to stay at Royal Lahaina for our honeymoon, and we had hoped to enjoy a romantic dinner. Reservation was made in advance, and we specifically requested a certain booth for sunset hour. We arrive, no issues. Not even five minutes in, no order even placed, a server named Lyle rudely interrupted us, abruptly grabbed our menus, and told us we had to move because of a mix up with reservations and they accommodated this other family in our place. They couldn't accommodate giving us a booth as we requested, so they just put us at a random table and completely forgot about us. No menus or drinks, so I got up to speak to a manager. I let them know I was upset and we ended up choosing to sit far off away from the main tables, which wasn't how I wanted to spend my dinner. As im still sitting here at dinner, Lyle is kissing ass to the other family while we were displaced. Idk if these were VIP guests, but terrible service on managements end. Shoutout to Michael for at least making our dinner experience pleasurable while we're still here. Shame on management for embarassing us like that. Lahaina Noon is located in the Royal Lahaina Resort and Bungalows. I've tried their buffet breakfast, garlic Truffle parmesan fries, the tofu and the beyond meat veggie mock sandwich. The place has a nice ambience and vibe. You have wonderful beach views and great music. The buffet breakfast has decent vegetarian options, which was a huge plus point for me. Loved the fact that I had more options to choose from. The sandwich was okay though. Didn't enjoy my lunches as much as I enjoyed the breakfast. The service too was average. don't order the mochiko tofu. i added it to my miso caesar salad & it was bland, flavorless, & tasted like flour. i also asked for extra dressing on the side 3 times with 2 different people & finally received it after 30 minutes by the 4th person we asked. deeply disappointed with my meal. the lettuce pieces were bigger than my first so i had to cut them up myself. common sense that if you're eating a salad, you might want to have bite-sized lettuce. i also got ice in my double tito's that i asked to be "neat" & didn't want to trouble them again because of the delayed extra dressing. two stars for location right in front of the second pool & sunset views of the beach. you're better off doordashing a meal & sitting on the beach or lounge chairs. don't recommend. read more

My wife and I came here during Happy Hour and really liked it! The restaurant itself has a nice, sort of retro atmosphere that fit with the mood of being by the beach with a beautiful view of the water and the islands. We ordered the hamburger with a small salad and a chicken sandwich with fries and a cocktail. The Paniolo beef smashburger was $19 and the Mochiko fried chicken sandwich $16 and both were a really large size. The cocktail we had was called "Cruel Sun", ironic given how good it tasted. Happy Hour is from 2pm to 5pm so if you don't mind eating (and drinking) early it's good value. The waiter we had was super nice. All in all, a laid back dining experience. While staying at the bungalows for a week we are here three times- once for dinner, once for lunch and once just for dessert. All three times were wonderful! The view itself is a winner. The staff is so friendly and dedicated. The food, is outstanding- the Mahi Mahi dinner entrees-substantial portion, the lunch was large too- poke bowl and fish tacos were fantastic! This is a restaurant at a resort. The food is average to good and and in my opinion overpriced if you don't have a resort credit to use. We stayed at the resort and ate breakfast here most days. Service: The hostesses were incredibly helpful, giving us all the options for seating our table of six. Our server was personable, friendly, and responsive. There was a hiccup with the drinks, but they resolved it quickly and even gave us the extra drink from the mix-up. While the food did take a little longer to arrive, the timing was on par with other restaurants in the area. Ambiance: Since the restaurant is located inside a hotel, the outdoor ambiance is perfect. There's a stunning view of the sunset and beautifully manicured landscaping around the outdoor seating. This is a tradition to come to the Royal Lahaina & Lahaina Noon for dinner. We've had many family memories here. My cousin used to sing & play music there (which we were kind of sad they don't do that anymore other than brunch) but Ford and his team were great!!! Ford has been there for over 20 years and is Soo nice, friendly, and welcoming. He treats you like family. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. The garlic noodles tasted like something that came straight out of a box, which was surprising given the hype. This is a pretty tourist trappy restaurant. My wife and I spent $187 for a date night here and with us being in Maui for 9 days and eating out for breakfast/lunch and dinner every day this place was the most expensive out of all of them. The service was great and the wait staff and bartenders were all amazing. For the price we paid, though, the food was just okay. Portions were quite small and wasn't justified by crazy flavors or anything exotic. You can most definitely find better places around that are significantly cheaper. read more

The view is pretty spectacular. Is it overpriced? Not really, it's pretty similar to any other hotel restaurant. We really enjoyed the mochiko chicken wings, probably our favorite menu item. Second is the ahi wonton tacos which were really tasty and good variety of texture. The garlic shrimp rolls were good but looked sad in presentation and size. Our kids loved the chicken tenders and fries. We also tried the mahi mahi with kim chee fried rice. This place was amazing. It was right next to the tennis courts we would play at, and after going once, this was our go-to for lunch. The atmosphere was very chill and there was a great view of the water. The staff was overly polite and attentive. It was great service all around. I wish I had more pictures to share, but I started devouring the food before thinking to get a picture. Here is what I had. Everything I would recommend and order again. The smoked Ahi dip was really good. The shrimp crackers were good, but could be a little bigger to get a bigger scoop of dip. I loved the lunch plates. I tried several variations with different proteins. The Garlic Shrimp came with 6-8 huge shrimp. It was a lot of shrimp for a lunch plate. I also tried the lunch plate with the grilled mahi mahi and also the grilled marinated pork. All of those tasted great and were good portion sizes. The Kula Greens, Pineapple Kimchi and Mac Salad were perfect sides for the plates. This will be one of the first places I go when I come back. The only seating options available outside was a view of the sunset through metal poles holding up the tin roof that pigeons scratch around for. The entire experience was non existent. There was a single oyster in a shot glass for the first course. I had to get up and ask at least 3 people about the wine pairings, which never arrived. The fish was cold when the manager's manager's supervisor told the waiter's supervisor about which wine is paired with the fish. Every photograph is timestamped to show the 40 minute wait between morsels of tastings. Then came the check, for something I prepaid when I reserved. They couldn't find my reservation in their computer. I walked out when the dessert was being removed from the table while I was waiting for a to go box. I have a stomach the size of an egg and it all fit. I don't want my money back -- I want my time back! What an unbecoming situation (and now I have it charged to my room, plus a prepaid charge). read more

Ahi dip incredible, but wife did not favor the shrimp chips; perhaps another chip choice. Sunset was terrific: I love to eat atmosphere. This has always been one of our favorites. It's also appreciated that they respect Kamaaina. We used to park our golf cart on the lawn but the last time we got a ticket. Maybe a dedicated golf cart parking area? Wonderful experience! Wasn't sure what to expect from this off the beaten path restaurant. Immediately fell in love with the "modern" old school Hawaiian decor. I was convinced Mr. Roake was going to come greet us at some point, but did end up meeting Ford the very nice manager that came to check on our party. Our server Cara was the absolute sweetest and genuinely seemed happy to be serving us, which doesn't seem to be very common on the island anymore. We had a 6pm reservation outside (by request) and it was hot even with a nice breeze. When Cara walked away, we all talked about how nice it would've been for staff to be in something other than pants. We sort of felt bad for them while we were all wearing flowing dresses and shorts in the heat. Dinner was delicious and came out all together and was plated beautifully.
