Wonderful experience! Wasn't sure what to expect from this off the beaten path restaurant. Immediately fell in love with the "modern" old school Hawaiian decor. I was convinced Mr. Roake was going to come greet us at some point, but did end up meeting Ford the very nice manager that came to check on our party. Our server Cara was the absolute sweetest and genuinely seemed happy to be serving us, which doesn't seem to be very common on the island anymore. We had a 6pm reservation outside (by request) and it was hot even with a nice breeze. When Cara walked away, we all talked about how nice it would've been for staff to be in something other than pants. We sort of felt bad for them while we were all wearing flowing dresses and shorts in the heat. Dinner was delicious and came out all together and was plated beautifully. We went to the bar because our room wasn't ready for a while and had amazing drinks and had a blast with Chantel our bartender!

What's not to like. the drinks at happy hour are always good and the food is yummy. all pool orders come in to-go so if you wanna come in clothes to get fancy, be seated at the restaurant only. read more

Lahaina Moon is located in a hotel but don't let that stop you. Nice staff and amazing views. The mochiko chicken and waffles were yummy!

Booked a reservation last night at 6:30 for a birthday. Waitress never acknowledged the birthday. Ordered a lemon drop martini that was basically tasteless. Ordered two salads. One of the salads had no dressing on it. We requested a side of dressing. Side of dressing was not enough so we requested a second one. While we were still eating our salads, they brought out the entrées. The mochi crusted mahi-mahi was overcooked. The bottom was dried out. This was an expensive meal for the quality of food that we received. The ambience was great, but we felt that we were being rushed through our meal. We noticed the same thing for the party that was next to us. They were still eating their appetizers when their entrées were brought out. I can only speak to the breakfast buffet, but it was very underwhelming. Low quality. For the price, was expecting a decent breakfast buffet, but it was like the free breakfast you get at a holiday inn. My kids are easy to please and even they thought the food was not good. My husband and I stayed at the Royal Lahainan for his birthday and had some great meals at Lahaina Noon. The ambience is modern and retro at the same time and is very cool and comfortable with great ocean views! The marinated beet salad was a favorite as was the mochi crusted Mahi. We wanted to give a huge HOOYAH to Lyle and the whole crew. Their grace and patience in serving our large group truly embodied the Aloha spirit. We were 10 friends in town for a wedding. Everyone was staying at a different hotel and we randomly decided to meet up for dinner. This was centrally located on the trolley. We were able to make a reservation on a Monday night two hours before meet up. We really appreciated that, upon arrival, they let us mingle and chat with some folks at the bar, some folks at the table, and some folks checking out the pool/garden area. We also showed up with 2 little kids (making us a group of 12) and they were very nice with letting them run around a bit before we sat down. Once we all got seated, they let us order family style because nobody could make up their mind (we put everything on one check). They pre-sliced the steaks so they were easy to share and we ordered a ton of different appetizers and sides. They were very nice about clearing plates, setting up a second service, bringing extra silverware and new wine glasses, letting us order more food of specific dishes mid-course, making sure that there was always wine on the table, and getting specific cocktails/mocktails throughout the evening. If someone wanted something, it seemed like Lyle was right there waiting. They also let us know when last call was and let us linger longer than we should have so that we could finish our bottles. We were having such a great time that we didn't notice the restaurant closing around us! The best part was that, at the end of the night when the check came, we were all surprised at the very reasonable price given the large amount of food and drinks that we ordered. read more

We took a quick walk up the beach from the Westin villas and discovered one of our new favorite restaurants in Maui! The view was incredible and the food was so delicious. All the staff were super friendly. Definitely try the chicken wings appetizer. Can't wait to go back!! read more

Hotel restaurant at the royal Lahaina next to the pool with great ocean views. We only ate there for dinner (so far) because we wanted to go out of the hotel (or were snorkeling instead of eating breakfast) but honestly we could have eaten most of our meals there since the food was really good. We especially loved the Poke and the shrimp cocktail. Poke was seasoned perfectly. All the second rate poke I get on the mainland is now a disappointment. Because it's a new restaurant I think and maybe its location in an older hotel it was never really crowded so the environment was super chill. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. read more

While the ambiance, music, and sunset were amazing, I was very disappointed with the tasteless food and poor service. I am a vegetarian and at first was happy to see at least 2 vegetarian options at the menu. Unfortunately, the food was terribly blend. I refused to eat my shitake noodles because it was tasteless and not even adding salt helped. The server not only completely disregarded a guest not eating the food but was extremely rude by rushing the service. The minimum I expected was an apology but sadly I left without an apology or any type of gesture to make up for the bad food service. I will not go back there and would not recommend this restaurant. There are much better options elsewhere in the same area. read more

Avoid this place. Nothing about this restaurant was good. We tried both their breakfast and lunch since we stayed at the hotel and I wish we had not. The food was horrible and the service was terrible. One of our friends were seated at a table for dinner and no server showed up at their table for almost an hour! read more

This is a hidden gem! A classic traditional low-key Hawaiian atmosphere with delicious food, an unbelievable ocean view, local music, and not-yet discovered! It's in The Royal Lahaina Resort itself, but easy to get to. There's only a pool and a beach between you and the sunset. I had the Waipoli salad with grilled chicken and a tasty eggplant side. The Yelp rating was 4.5 star (only 15 reviews total) when we came here, with high expectations. This seemed to be a revamped spot in a more "historic" resort (Royal Lahaina) not far from where we were staying. In fact, it seems the chef won a "Best of Maui" award a few years ago. So, why only 2/5 stars? 1). 6pm reservation, arrived 6:02. Seated around 6:05 after table cleaned. 2). A good 5 minutes before a waiter arrived to ask about drinks, we declined and said "water only please" 3). About 10 more minutes and waiter returned, and I requested kids menus (none were offered when we were seated) 4). Another 5 minutes and waiter returned and we ordered food 5). About 25 minutes later, we received our appetizers (edamame and green beans). Mind you, this is now approxiately 6:50pm. Appetizers were decent, needed a little salt but otherwise tasty. Very small portions considering the price ($13 grean beans for about 10 beans). 6). Entrees came about 10 minutes after the apps. Tasted average. Prices were high ($12 kids fish / fries, not super expensive, but adult entrees were quite pricey --$40+ on average). My beet salad ($26) plus protein (tofu, $10). My son liked the grilled fish, but everything else was par. Considering the prices were significantly higher than average, we expected the service and food to match, but were unimpressed. Would go to Aloha mixed plate, star noodle, even Mala Ocean Tavern for better food at matching or lower prices. I think Lahaina Noon has potential but they should either lower their prices or increase portion size / quality to stay competitive. read more
