I placed my order on-line with the credit card. Prior o final submission they ask your contact information - which is fine - gave them my email and cell phone. I tried calling but no one answered at 4:30, so I set the time at 5:45. My kids went to pick it up and were told the credit card expiration date had seemed wrong - so I have it over the phone. The cashier could not get it to work, so my daughter used hers only to find out no one had even started the pizza (and of course no one called). 45 minutes later they were able to leave with pizza in hand. Heard some friends talking about the new ownership and the new pizza in Moraga. It's only a take-out shop but if it weren't I'm sure it would be jam packed! Called to inquire about an order and was very politely handled. Pizza was ready exactly when I was told it would be and still warm when I got home. Met the owners (sorry, I forget the names!) and I could tell they love what they do. They've owned this since September 2010 so please disregard the much earlier reviews. It's a different place now. The pizza (meat combo and plain cheese) had excellent flavor. There was more meat than I could have expected and it was delicious (including the wonderful sausage and thankfully lots of bacon!). So much topping I had to use two hands. The cheese pizza had a delicate flavor and the sauce was very nice. Tasty crust too. I'll be back. So glad I heard about this. This place has amazing deals and delicious pizza. My husband really likes Mt. Mikes (Also in Rheem). We have a discount card there and even with the discount Lamorinda Pizza is cheaper. The pizza here is OK, but three stars is honestly a bit generous as an overall rating for this place. The prices and the wait times both border on ridiculous. As far as their pizzeria credentials, there are some major red flags. First of all, they use a cafeteria-style conveyor belt oven. No self-respecting pizzeria would ever have one of these. Second, they load the bottom of the crust up with corn meal. Third (and this one will drive any pizza snob crazy,) they make their "slices" individually. I.e. it's not a slice from a pizza, it's a little slice-shaped mini pizza that they top individually and then put into the oven. The options for pizza around here are really limited, so sometimes Lamorinda Pizza just has to do. But if you want a good pizza, I think it's worth the extra drive to PanCoast in Walnut Creek, or if you're in a "fancy pizza" kind of mood, Pizza Antica in Lafayette. read more

I'm from the East Coast, and one of my biggest complaints about living out here is that the pizza, to me, has been really sub-par. The crust is usually too thick and doughy, and there's usually far too much sauce. Lamorinda Pizza, under this new ownership, has THE BEST pizza I've experienced since I've been in California. The crust is thin and cooked just right. There's just the right amount of sauce. The toppings are fresh and delicious. This pizza is the closest thing you can get in the Bay Area, that I've tasted, to an East Coast style. Awesome job, Lamorinda Pizza! I would have rated five stars, but one is lost for not accepting credit cards. We don't usually keep cash on us, so it's a little inconvenient to have to go to the bank to get a pizza. read more

We were really craving pizza after working for more than 10 hrs and it was already 7:30pm. We decided to look up pizza places that deliver and decided to give this place a try since Round Table only had two stars. Looking at the menu online, one of my coworkers narrowed the selection to meat lovers, pesto chicken, or chicken bacon. We then flipped a coin for pesto chicken and chicken bacon. Chicken bacon was the winner. We ordered one small chicken bacon since it had 8 slices (enough for three people). The lady on the phone was very nice and said it would be 45 mins - 1 hr. When it arrived it was still hot. IT WAS DELICIOUS!However, minus one star because it was a little on the expensive side for a small pizza and there wasn't any napkins or enough condiments. I'm going to review this as if I was still in high school. They had this deal where it was a one topping large pizza pickup for $8.50. Such an awesome deal. You can divide the one topping into half and half of two toppings. I liked to go with the sausage and pesto. I've phone ordered pizzas and ate there with friends on their tabletop Ms. Pac-Man arcade. I don't think I ever had a complaint about this place. I never had them deliver to me. Everyone knows what Lamorinda Pizza is. Their only competitor is Round Table across the street. Regular Wednesday night, not much going on. I ordered 2 pizzas at 5:50 and was given an 1 hour and 15 minutes window. Over 2 hours later, still no pizza. They won't even pick up the phone. 30 minutes ago I was told it was on its way and they are 10 minutes from my house. I like the pizza but the unprofessional delivery is not worth it. Aw - the good old college pizza - nothing beat their late night special, 8.50 for a large one topping delivered to your dorm room. Seeing as how I have a real job and a 401k, I opt for nicer pizza now - but they were always very nice, quick, and cheap - and really, for that price, it was a good deal. The one thing we miss about East Coast living' is the ability to just grab a pizza slice anywhere and whenever we want. A slice of pizza is definitely hard to find in California. Thankfully, Lamorinda Pizza offers pizza by the pie as well as by the slice. The slices are pretty good - the dough is thin and well baked. The crust is not too dominating and the sauce is pretty tasty. Lamorinda Pizza is located in one of the Moraga shopping centers and parking is relatively easy. You can order once you're there or you can call ahead. Be prepared to wait a few minutes if you order once you're there. The actually restaurant is pretty bare bones, but the staff is pretty friendly. We will be back! read more

Best pizza in Lamorinda... and I mean... best by a MILE. Unfortunately their delivery radius is short by a mile from my house (I've said it to the owner before, you need to deliver to North Orinda Country Club area because that's where the cash is). Still, it's well worth the drive. Toppings are excellent, crust is delicious... I mean how places like Village and Zamboni's stay in business is beyond me, if this store was across the street from Safeway in Orinda there would be a line out the door. Orinda has been devoid of decent pizza for YEARS. Maybe it's time to open Lamorinda #2 guys.. :) I would compare the quality and flavor of their pizza to Lanesplitters which is saying a lot as that place is insanely good. Seriously, I will say it twice... Worth the drive no matter where you are in the Lamorinda area. Wanted very much to like this pizza as I always support local businesses. The pie was loaded with (on my wife's veggie side) a mass of soggy tasteless vegetables and meat galore on mine. But the crust so-so and worse yet, the sauce was completely lacking flavor and tanginess. Bland with a capital "B". Round Table does a better job and is less expensive. I guess I'm an outlier here but this was the most boring pizza I've ever had...i like simple...but this was just ordinary. The crust was flavorless, texture was like cardboard. Toppings were skimpy. It's taken me 4 months to write this review because I don't understand why my experience was way different fr everyone else. We tried the cheese, pepperoni and the veggie. Nobody in my family ever uttered that it was good or if they wanted to come back, which is unusual with pizza ( we frequent all others in the area - Mangia, Patxis, Round Table, Zachary's, Mtn Mikes, Pancoast and Tullio's in WC). Definitely would rate this place a zero if I could. The pizza is delivered cold, so either preheat your oven when your order, or microwave it like we had to. Do NOT order the chicken wings. They're not actual chicken, only fat. Inedible to say the least. When giving feedback to the owner, he told me that I didn't need to come back and he didn't need my business and hung up on me. My daughter brought pizza to my wife and I for dinner. We live in Pleasanton. The meal was one of the best pizzas we have ever tasted. Medium crust, light with multi topping to die for. Chicken, tomato slices, just the right amount of cheese, baked to perfection without any close competitors. I would recommend this pizzeria without hesitation. I ordered an Xtra large half vegie half chicken pesto. Their veggie is to die for! You can tell they use super fresh ingredients. The extra large is huuuge by the way. BBQ joint is gone (sad) but Lamorinda Pizza is a welcome addition to Alamo (#Lalamorinda ???) their original crust is thinner than most, but has really good flavor that other "cracker" style crusts lack (#EastCoastPizza), going to try thick crust next time for a comparison, quality of topping was high, black forest ham and fennel sausage was very tasty, only dig would be the ordering (both in person and online) too hard to take one of their combos and subtract items, easier to build your own by starting with basic cheese pie and adding what you want, hard to compete with the Papa Hut's in this arena, also impossible to think that they would be at the same price point as the Papa Hut's - this is a quality hand made pie and it shows, like Arnold says - "I'll Be Back" - UPDATE pass on the thick crust, original is their forte! read more

Tried Lamorinda pizza for the first time yesterday and had a fairly positive experience. Pizza was good and I was impressed by how polite and cordial the teens working there were. I was a bit surprised to read some of the other reviews that had a much more negative experience. I'm hopeful the management made the corrective changes and that it wasn't just the luck of the draw. Their pizza is a bit on the pricey side but overall I was satisfied and I'll give them another shot at least. read more
