The ambiance and the food were great! I came with 19 other people for my birthday and it was so much fun. Each meat I had were very tender and flavorful and the salad bar was good as well:) I wish I took pictures of the food but I gobbled everything down .. The drink service was a little slow BUT there was only one bartender and two to three other huge parties. We were very excited to try this place and unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. From the time we were seated, the waitress was no where to be found. We had to flag someone down 3 times just to get water (took 23 minutes), a bottle of wine (37 minutes), and a knife that was missing when we were seated (28 minutes). While the waitress was nice, she seemed very confused and ineffective. As for the food, we only saw 4 varieties of meats/pork sausages coming around and they were not that good. My husband and I visited the beginning of November 2022. We reached out to ownership with a personal letter about what you are going to read below. Since we respect new places and their growing pains, we thought a note would be apropos. But, since we haven't received a response acknowledging, I am posting our review here. We love Brazilian Rodizio so we could not wait to eat at Leblon. Cocktails were fine -- we had read they were half price but that's not why we were visiting, so full price we were charged was...fine. It was the food (or lack thereof) upon which I have issues. At Traditional Rodizio, there are a variety of meats offered: beef (of course), lamb, veal, pork, chicken, in a smooth flowing manner that allows one to enjoy the morsel on their plate and look forward to the next "stick" coming around. Your servers appear earnest and willing to please. Your carvers, somewhat less. In the 90 minutes we sat there...waiting...for meat, here is what came by, and only sporadically: filet wrapped in bacon -- 6 TIMES. It was too done the first time around and mealy as all get-out -- so we figured sub-choice. Sirloin -- ONE TIME -- rare-ish but only okay. Pork Ribs -- 2 TIMES. Nubby and nervy, but with these choices, it was okay. Chicken -- ONE TIME -- you can't kill a thigh, so it was okay. The waiter asked us while we were sitting there, do you want anything else? I responded: "Meat". I was staggered that he asked --- he watched us wait, and wait, and wait. I then said, how about skirt or ribeye, two favored cuts of ours. I guess they took me seriously when I had asked for Rare earlier -- and the 3 oz piece of skirt came out ice cold in the center, raw. I was so hungry I ate it. But I was steaming. The 2 oz piece of ribeye that followed 4 minutes later wasn't even a decent cut. Kudos, however, to the Pineapple-Guy. He came around 6 DAMNED TIMES and had he come back around one more time he was going to be wearing that pineapple. Salad bar, just passably okay. you can't just label something Brazilian. Brazilian Chicken Salad? Really? Rubes we are not. I have so much more to say, but I will leave you with this: if you think $49 means you can send a couple mediocre cuts out and expect people to celebrate you deigned to stop at their table, you may be incorrect in this assumption. You should be interested in stepping up at one point. $140 for two 'experiences' and 2 just okay cocktails and a $6 bottle of water -- is an aberration, and an insult. Do better. read more

This was a pretty decent experience. The highlights were the guys bringing the meats, they were polite engaging and great. some of the meats were grisly but all in all they were good. the beans and rice from the bar were exceptional. lowlight - even though we had reservations, there were not tables for us in the dining room so they sat us in the bar. not a big deal. There were diners that were clearly overserved that appeared to be hanging out with the owner or GM. One of the drunken diners dropped his pants in the bar and mooned everyone which the GM thought was hilarious. It wasn't. we'd probably try a different Rodizio place in the future. read more

Food - decent Service- horrendous Ambiance - just the fish tank when you walk in I think I am a glutton for punishment. This was the third time that I've been to this restaurant. The first two times that I went the service was slow and we were seated late, but I thought that was because it was a new business, and they needed to work out the kinks. After a few months, I set up a reservation for six people at 8 PM. We showed up on time for our reservation and did not get seated until 40 minutes later at 8:40. Bad enough that you don't want to be eating dinner that late, however, The wait staff came and filled our glasses with water, one time and messed up to drink orders every single time they came to the table. The salad bar was empty and was never refilled with fresh food. The rodizio selections were very scant as they came to the table 4 times throughout the evening. From being there in the past, I know that they have a selection of about 12 different items or better. Mind you this was a Saturday night. However, we were only offered four different types of meats. I cannot make a recommendation for this restaurant and keep going there if this is going to be the service expected. Management is very pleasant however, they seem very very very overwhelmed by the amount of people that walk through the door and can never get them Seated on time. If I can make a recommendation, there should be time limits on reservations or seatings and it should be posted so the patrons know about it because I believe that is half the reason why everybody gets seated late because people just sit around and don't leave. The only good part of the night was sitting at the bar, waiting to be seated, and the bartender was very accommodating, and she was very sympathetic and kept going to management trying to get us our seats. That being said, she is also overwhelmed because she is servicing a busy bar as well as all the patrons in the restaurant that she has to make drinks for with the drink service. Another recommendation would be, especially on busy nights to have a second bartender, one to make drinks for the restaurant patrons, and one to handle the patrons in the bar area. read more

Amazing food. The garlic steak was my favorite. The salad bar has more than salad. The services was great as well, very attentive.

Would prefer 3-1/2 star rating. Here's why. First, the food varies from delicious to meh. The salad bar was clean, well kept with a nice variety but taste-wise nothing stands out. Various cuts of steak were juicy and tender - strip, sirloin, garlic - although very salty. Several meats were tough and not tasty or too fatty, specifically brisket, short ribs, bbq ribs. Sausage was meh and the bacon-wrapped chicken a bit dry. The cheese with honey was a tasteless chip. Cinnamon pineapple was the star non-meat item. What bothered us most was that gauchos seemed a little grumpy and cut tiny portions. We never got to try the ribeye or fillet....because? Well, we noticed several gauchos served tables on either side of our table then walked away. One looked at us and left. (Our tokens were turned up on Yes). One gaucho serving ribeye was empty. We called him over. He said he'd come right back, but did not. That kind of left one star (pun intended) in our pockets. The rest of the service was fine. We're glad we tried Leblon, but we did not leave as fans. As churrascarios go, this a middle of the pack entry at best. read more

The food is spectacular and you can taste that it's all so very fresh and homemade. We both had the rodizio which included the delectable and endless salad bar. The salad bar had a delicious and vast array of options. The meats were all so tender and juicy and I absolutely LOVED the Brazilian grilled cheese with honey. I've been to many rodizio places before and this was the first time I've seen this option (it was soooo good). I've been doing a carnivore diet and trying to find a place to go out and eat can be difficult, but we decided to give Leblon a try on a whim and we couldn't recommend it enough! The host, servers, and manager were all crazy nice and the food was excellent! Our favorites were the Garlic Sirloin, bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, house sirloin, and the queso blanco cheese! They came around what seemed like every 30 seconds with a different cut of meat, kept our drinks full, and even recommended things to try from the salad buffet. Highly recommend stopping in. The drinks were by far amazing, we held a bridal shower here and were impressed with the details given to the event. I loved all of the different meats and had to stop myself from tasting all of the delicious options at the salad bar/buffet everywhere because all of the options looked amazing. When they first came to our table, they only had two lamb chops for six of us( never saw lamb again), never saw pork, never saw I finally grabbed somebody and said, where is the chicken 10 minutes later they showed up with two pieces of chicken for six people. they did show up with skirt steak which was undercooked and to drop almost $500 for six people was a waste of money. This was a real treat!! Right from the start we were treated warmly and menu was explained. The salad bar had interesting items such as chickpeas with blue cheese dressing, a great Caesar salad, not too heavy on the dressing-portobello mushrooms and seafood salad was outstanding- a lot of healthy choices. Now for the meat...there was plenty and it was very tender- not too salty at all- which is common and something that is usually an issue- also drinks were perfect- not too sweet- just right. I was so looking forward to dining at Leblon! Sadly I was disappointed. I still believe it has potential, but there are some big misses. First the good! Ambience was very nice. Greeted warmly by a friendly face, the Rodizios, guys bringing the meat did a good job and the meat was plentiful, all of it mostly extremely rare, which was fine for me but not the three people I was dining with. Now the cons, wait service was poor, had to wait several times for each round of drinks, having to remind server twice. Very frustrating as she had one job, and failed. Salad bar was picked over and needed to be refreshed. Also, it would be nice to label what food was, as most of it was unrecognizable. Took a while to have plates cleared. I will say the host was very attentive and I felt like most were trying hard, even the waitress. I would give them another chance, but they need to workout some serious bugs with the prices they are charging. Good luck! read more

Great place! From the staff to the food, I am so happy Leblon is in Bergen County. I have had meals both at the bar and the restaurant several times and never has it been disappointing! The bar menu is terrific- I think we must've tried everything on it, the vibe is great- and the drinks rock! You can't go wrong with any item.... and the desserts, I have no words! The bar is great for a more casual dining experience. The restaurant is Brazilian Rodizio, the salad bar has so many options even a vegetarian will leave stuffed! And the meats.... there are no words. I have had dinner there and also celebrated my 12 year old sons birthday with 3 of his friends. They are still talking about how cool it was, and I don't think they spoke all night because they spent the entire time eating! We just returned from dining at Leblon, in Hillsdale.N.J. One of the worst nights ever. The only good thing about Leblon, were the servers with the skewers of meats. They were pleasant and accomodating. The salad bar was fair, however after about 45 minutes of dining, then the ceasar salad came out. The dirty dishes sat on our table way too long. Mind you, there were only 2 other occupied tables. That was a sign to me, we should never have stayed. Once, only one of our party was asked if they wanted another drink. The servers were dripping juices and honey on our table. Majority of the meat servings were beef. and way too salty. One chicken and one sausage. When we were finished the table next to us was offered lamb. We were not asked about desert or coffee, and we had to hunt down someone to bring our check. When she finally showed up, there was no smile, no thank you, it was just dropped on our table. 10 minutes later we searched for someone to take the bill. We finally got up. scrounged up the cash and left it on the front check in desk. A young man saw us and I believe he went to get the owner. As we were almost out the door, one of the owners came after us and asked is everything ok. We told her NO! and why. She barley said I'm sorry. She also, during dinner, was busy playing with a baby at the next table. I give this place a year at best, When we left there were only 4 other tables that had guests.
