The first time happened a year ago, and then 6 month after, and then 3 months after. Every time, I had a hard time getting a plumber to come and look at the problem. Each time, we had to go to home depot myself/themselves to get an Snake (tool to unclog the pipe), and pay $300-$700 for them to open the pipes. It was a huge disaster. This time, I am very happy that I have called Discount Plumbing. There are several things RIGHT about these guys: 1. They use an Automated (Artificial Intelligence) receptionist that schedules an appointment over the phone. So we got an appointment on Sunday quickly 2. They sent a technician in 2-3 hours after I called them, and the tecnician actually came during the promised window 3. The technician has all the tools needed for the job. He had Snake, Camera and whatever he needed (I think he has $100K+ worth of equipments in his van) 4. Kevin, the plumber, fixed the problem in 1 hour while the previous plumbers would waste 7+ hours to do this. 5. Even though the technician was alone, he was very very competent, and better than teams of plumbers that I have hired in the past 6. Before start doing the job, he clearly mentioned the cost of the job UPDATE originally I have reviewed them as 5 stars. Unfortunately their work broke in 5 days, and when I called them to "please come back and take a look", they said they will come at 12pm. I was waiting till 6pm, and then they called to reschedule for another day. That has left me with a clogged line for the whole day. I am updating their review from 5 stars to one star.

On a Saturday the basement part just broke when we were working something around it. Water splashed everywhere. The only way to stop that was to shut off the main wove and that we couldn't use water anywhere else in the house either. It was around 5 pm on a Saturday evening. We called everywhere tried to have people come in give us quotes, and of course, most of them jack up the price to sky high. What was even more ridiculous was almost all of them doesn't even know what they were doing. I don't even know how to put it, but it was just my gut feeling that even if I were to pay them that price they were not going to be able to fix it. And I i was right-the thing that they sort of ran through with us what they will do to solve the issue was totally BS. Look back, they wouldn't even have the tools and parts ready. That alone made me feel better, I didn't know what to expect yet at that point but I was willing to take the chance as he showed up and brought good vibe: he was well prepared that his tool box filled with different kinds of parts and in well organized fashion! He clearly knows what he's doing, with in no time he fixed our plumbing issue. He was so kind that there was one part he didn't have (as mentioned our place is old) he drove out to pick up the part just like that- not even ask for extra or anything. At the end, the bill was super reasonable- unlike other lame business- include some big names you are all familiar with. And that's included if a generous tips. I called Tim at TRZ which gave me a honest quote over the phone of $250. He got to my residence in about 25 mins and fixed the problem in about an hour and half because it was clogged so bad! I never write reviews on yelp but this man not only gave me a honest quote, he did not charge me anything more, I only had $300 on me which I told him over the phone. I wish I was able to tip the man more because he deserved more than $300 for canceling his plans on a Saturday night. Our water heater failed December 22. George Salet Plumbing came out on December 23 and provided us options to fix the existing water heater or replace it. We chose to replace as the existing heater was just over 9 years old. We scheduled replacement for Friday, December 26. The plumber called us to let us know the first heater which was delivered, while still functional, was slightly damaged on the bottom. They had a second one delivered the same day and stayed late to replace it. The high efficiency gas blower made a loud noise while running however George Salet returned with a technician from the manufacturer until the issue was resolved. It took two visits and full replacement of the exhaust stack, but they pursued until the issue was fully resolved to our satisfaction at no extra cost.
