Now I am a Seagoville native and have been a regular here up until an incident that happened a while ago. There was a hair in my salsa and when I confronted the woman she said "the salsa is free anyway" Then she had the nerve to say I can't bring in my own drink, which IS understandable but after having a hair in my food you should be a little nicer and at least offer something to makeup for it. I see what the reviews are mixed. Location for us was good. Atmosphere for visiting was great. And yes, as most reviews said, the salsa is very good and the chips are as well. Tortillas cost extra and I don't believe are home made. Queso was average. But all 5 of us liked our meals - Chef's special, fajitas, and the chicken chimichanga. The service was the most lacking. Our server was very friendly but untrained, inattentive, and pretty much clueless as to the process. Our suggestion, get it to go! read more

I have had some bad experiences with this place in the past but I've tried to put it behind me for the new management but it looks like they still have the same issues. Even if it is close to closing time they still should serve fresh food, the tamales my daughter ate made her sick I only wanted that removed from the receipt and they refused! the cashier argued with me about the quality when you could clearly see they were burned on the bottom from sitting in the pan too long she tried to say they were okay she did not eat them we did! In this review I wasn't sure if I should give 3 or 4 stars. There are very few Mexican places to eat in and around Seagoville if you don't count Taco Bell. So if this place was in the city it would've gotten 3. Here- solid 4 as it is way better than La Pradera (the only other Mexican joint around). We tried their beef, cheese and sour cream chicken enchiladas, guacamole taco and carne asada. All were tasty except the guacamole- it needed a lot more seasoning. Tasty doesn't mean perfect, each could have been better with some tweak. Nevertheless, now that we found Leonardos we'll never go back to La Pradera. read more

Our whole family loves this place! We all go as a group on Thursdays! Cheap margaritas and fajitas can't be beaten!!! Only negative is they are short staffed- it's packed on Thursday nights!!!! Worst customer service EVER. I've always been a huge fan of this establishment cause they have the best Mexican food in town but after today I will never return. Every time I come here I get the same thing just change the meat well today the lady kept trying to change what I was saying and I ordered 2 of the same dishes stuffed avocado one beef one shrimp. I was missing the beans for both orders and one avocado had plain shrimp cheese and tomatoes on the side and the other one was done perfectly with beef sauce and rice with Pico just no beans when I figured out my order was wrong I went back and she told me that i ordered wrong but I got 2 of the same thing just different meat! They tried to charge me for THEIR mistakes. Cause what I wanted wasn't on the menu after all this wait I was expecting 2 fresh plates but only got one when i asked for a refund cause they wanted to charge me extra and not give me 2 new plates they said no cause I was wasting cause they messed up! We just loved this little place! We were in the area, were hungry and saw all the cars (this was Sunday in the middle of the afternoon). Were seated as soon as we walked in and served the best freshly made light crispy chips and authentic salsa that was spicy but not over the top. They have a full bar as well as authentic mexican agua fresca. Husband ordered Carne Don Pancho which came with rice, chile relleno, beans, pico and guac and tortillas (corn or flour). I got shrimp enchiladas which also came with rice and beans and they were happy to substitute sour cream sauce for them. Both our dishes were fantastic beyond our expectations. This place is not fancy at all but we didn't stop in for a fancy restaurant experience but we sure lucked up on some delicious mexican food there. About 3 weeks ago I called in to reserve a table for 25 people. Not only were they unprepared and made me and my family wait for about 20 min but once we did get our table we noticed about half of are chairs were broken the tables were wobble, and that would have been fine if it wasn't so dang hot in there with no AC or even a fan to cool down the place . Ordered some fajitas only to be disappointed yet again service was horrible our waiter barely even knew any English and ended up have to ask my uncle to translate everything.
