I called different companies before I called them and this company offered 105.00 an hour for 3 men with a 4 hour minimum when another company offered 115 an hour for 3 men with a 7 hour minimum.. Julian, Liko, and Cacho finished in the job in 4:30 hours from Sylmar to Palmdale and save me 3 extra hours that the other company was charging. All my stuff was packed and ready to go from a second floor apt to a house. read more

DO NOT use this company. I would give zero stars if I can. They should change their name to LET'S MOVE IT WRONG. One of the movers told me it started flooding in my laundry room after the truck driver/team leader detached my washing machine from the plumbing and broke the valve. The worst thing that can happen on moving day. They acknowledged that their policy is that the homeowner detaches the washer from the plumbing. I had to get an emergency plumber and pay for urgent service and it prolonged my moving time by 2 hours more. They are insured so when I asked to be reimbursed for the plumbing and water damage, they asked me to file a claim. I called many times to follow up but they keep telling me the owner will deal it, but is never around. 11 months later, I write them a letter that due to their inaction on my insurance claim I will take them to small claims court. A week later they sent me a check for $250, which is half of my expenses. I settled for it because this company is sucking the life out of me. They are not worth my time read more

I was just moving a 1 bedroom apartment in a 4th floor to the 2nd floor in the same apartment complex. The Good: My move was done, nothing was broken. The Bad: They don't measure the time correctly and charged me 50 extra minutes, according to them the started counting time when they called me over the phone and not when the started moving things, also they told me they with have a "2 minutes" break which was a 20 minutes and they charged me for that as well (I am up for breaks but the company should take care of this time and not me). The movers were using the restroom without asking for it (from my end I think of it as rude). When I told him that the way he was measuring time was not OK, he told me not to hire them again, which means he didn't care. Tips: I think is would be a good idea to ask about the way they measure time and if you will be paying for their breaks (and how long these should be) read more

A few months ago I needed a quick place to store my things. I called Let's Move It and they had a crate that I could rent at a rate I was happy with. The following day I brought my things over and for $25 service fee, they unloaded the truck and put my stuff in a crate. A few months later when I was ready to move, I called and told them that I wanted to move that SAME DAY. The company informed me then that I needed to give them a 24-hour notice, that they are not sure they'll be able to bring the crate out that day. I called again and spoke with the owner who explained that it takes special handling to get the crates out and they need to plan for it. I shared with the owner that i was planning on moving out that same day and needed to get my stuff out and rent a U-Haul. The onwer suggested that I consider hiring their services and for a flat fee, a little higher than it would have taken me to hire a U-Haul and a person to help me. They would be doing all the moving for me. I needed to get my stuff out of the crate, stop at another location and load boxes, then another location for a box spring, then my final destination. I thought about his suggestion, and called back agreeing to pay a little more and having my body rest. The company was able to handle my move that same afternoon. Someone called from the office twice to confirm the addresses and time. The movers showed up within the time frame given, and were courteously handling the additions of the boxes and box spring. At the final location, they unloaded everything perfectly to the 2nd story room, and saved me my body, time, and stress. I am grateful for the suggestion to hire their services for the move, for the timely office calls, for the courteous movers, it all went wonderful and saved my body. Thank you all so much. My only suggestion is to have the office people remind me that I needed to give them a 24-48 hour notice before moving out to get my crate out (for some reason, I didn't recall anyone telling me that). read more

If you ever need to move I highly recommend these guys. Prompt, friendly, courteous, fast and efficient. Rates are competetive and reasonable. Service is great and flexible. They communicate with you very well and are willing to work with you or around you. The quote was exactly like the guy I spoke to on the phone said it was, included was the truck, 3 guys and 3 hours minimum @ $ 85 per hour, which I thought was reasonable considering the travel distance. The actual move only took about 3 hours only because of the travel time. I called to schedule a move from my house in Palmdale to a storage unit in Northridge for 11/22/09 for 9am. They were at the location 15min before the scheduled time and was ready. We got to the house to find out that the house had been broken into and all the boxes we've packed previously had been tampered - in short the house was vandalized! They were flexible enough and WILLING to come back the next day, SUNDAY to re-schedule the move with no hassle. The next day the total loading took about 45 minutes, unloading took about 30 minutes and everything went about so smoothly. If I ever have to move, I would definitely use them again and you should too! read more

Just used them this past weekend to help me move just over a mile... They were a little late due to another move that was before mine, but they updated me as soon as they realized they'd be a bit after their time. When they arrived they were straight to work, did a fantastic job and were speedy! Nothing was broken, nothing was lost, my couch and chair were clean as when they left my old apartment and they brought garment boxes for all my stuff on hangers (AMAZING!) DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. Also, do not do business with Eden Relocation Services, or Hawaiian VAn Lines-- 2 other names under which this company does business. They are under investigation by the California Public Utilities Commission, which licenses California moving companies. I found this out the hard way. I'd committed to this company (which I used successfully twice in the early 2000s) to have them provide a moving truck just for my household goods, and move my stuff to NorCal within 24 hours of loading the truck, for a flat fee of $2500. The day before my move, the company told me that instead, my stuff would be combined with other people's loads, would be delivered sometime between 1-7 days, and would cost $1250 plus 50 cents a pound for anything weighing over 3,000 lbs. I didn't get an estimated weight for my goods, and had no idea what the job would now cost. And of course, they told me this when it was way too late to get another mover. They also told me that I had always booked a combined load, which was just not true. Lesson: get it in writing. When the movers arrived in NorCal, they had put my stuff in a big rig truck, 75 feet long, that was illegal to drive on city streets, and the movers told me that it was illegal for them to park in my neighborhood, and a $1000 fine could be incurred for parking there. They also told me that they would have to charge me extra for the stairs to my front door, even though I'd told them about the stairs when I booked the job. Also, sometime between when they packed my stuff and when they started hauling it, the company I was dealing with was no longer Let's Move It Right, but Hawaiian Van Lines, and HVL was asking that I either pay cash upfront before they unloaded anything, or charge the full amount (which at that point, was $2250 because of the overweight charges) to my credit card. I had no idea who HVL was, and my contract was with Let's Move It Right, so that didn't feel too good. And then, the name on the moving van was Eden Relocation Services. The movers ended up driving off with my stuff when they would not agree to let me pay 50% upfront and the balance after unloading and inventorying my goods. They took a week to come back from other deliveries to Washington State and Vancouver. Then, they told me I either could pay them $525 to redeliver my goods to my house, in the illegally large rig, for which I could not arrange legal parking-- or I could arrange to get my own moving truck, and meet them by an unspecified freeway exit along I-5, and pay them $2250 in cash before they would unload anything. That sounds safe, reliable, and professional, doesn't it? Luckily, another moving and storage professional whom I contacted about taking over the job was so horrified by my experience that he put me in touch with the PUC complaints division, and the PUC was incredibly helpful in arranging for my goods to be delivered to a storage facility in the Central Valley, where I paid a second company to inventory my goods and then deliver them to me. It cost me quite a bit of additional money, but it was worth it because the people from Let's Move It Right and Hawaiian Van Lines were abusive and threatening in person and on the phone, and I did not feel safe dealing with them anymore. I would hire this company again. I called to schedule a move for my daughter who is living in LA. I am on the East coast and I wanted to make sure the move was as easy as possible since she was a alone at the time and very busy. They were kind and easy to work with, from the people in the office to the guys on the ground. The only reason they are not getting 5 starts is because the lady in the office did not send me the payment form on the day I scheduled it so that I could pay for it with my credit card. nor did she inform me as to what time they would arrive. I very rarely write a review, but i felt that this time i should, as the guys from the moving company Let`s Move It Right were really good. My husband and i were very happy with their services and we definitely will use them again in the future. They were efficient, in-time and fast. We had a surprise on our move date - the elevator in the building we moved to broke down the night before and we were told on the day of the move. We were not sure whether these guys will accept to move us, when they hear that the elevator in the building doesn`t work, but they told us not to worry and helped us making the move on the originally set date. They were as fast as they could be, having in mind the circumstances we were in; and moved our furniture and possessions with a great care to the fourth floor, without any complains. We have two big mirrors, king bed and nightstands, two huge 3-seat sofas - nothing was wrangled or chipped and they helped us unpack the big pieces. At the end everything was clearly stated in the Bill of Lading and promptly written according to our arrangements. The crew members - Carlos, Marcos and Ricardo were really good! What a brilliant job these guys did! My husband and i are so grateful to the whole team and also to Don and Joseph, who were the point of contact from the beginning and answered all our questions and helped us organize the move. I had a friend who used these guys twice and told me how amazing they were. I called and got a very reasonable quote for moving my apt. into a storage unit. I had to be at work so I wouldn't be there to oversee them work but I had also done a lot of the moving and packing myself. There were a few items that needed packing into boxes and my kitchen needed to be boxed up. They took 8 hrs to do the work they said would take them 3-4... mind you, my friend had them move an entire three bedroom house, had them pack everything into boxes, and then set everything up in the new place in about the same time as they took to do my job. I was just asking to essentially do mop up duty with the odds and ends. . not only did they take waaaay longer than it seemed they should. They also left a HUGE mess of packing paper, boxes and general trash that I spent a good hour cleaning up. Then, a few months later, when I moved into a new place, I was pissed to find that they had heavily wrapped things like drinking straws and paper cups while leaving glasses and other breakable items loose in the box. I had left very clear written directions as to what I needed and wanted them to do. I explained the same thing to Tom over the phone. When I called to get an explanation as to why they took so much longer to do the job, and charged me far more than had been quoted, they gave me the full on run around. A lot of BS sounding excuses. Yes, I'm a big fan of Let's Move It! I did much comparison shopping before deciding on them, and I'm certainly glad I ended up choosing this company in the long run. Not only were they quick and efficient, their customer service efforts are unparalleled. Here's why: the day before the move they were supposed to come over and pack up everything. Not only did they do this in record time, they then offered to bring out more employees and do the actual move that very day. The stellar cast was comprised of Caesar, Julian, Marco and Ricardo. And they literally put in an 11-hour day. By hour 3 they were doing such a good job that I went out to buy them lunch in order to show my appreciation. Administratively, Let's Move It also rocks! They called multiple times (the actual owner called) after the move to make sure I was satisfied and everything had gone according to plan. With most places you have to call THEM and play multiple iterations of phone-tag, praying the business calls you back in a timely manner. But Let's Move It did the opposite, they contacted ME to make sure I was happy and satisfied. They took great care of my belongings, were highly communicative during the day-long move, and have a stupendous work ethic. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

As a professional organizer, this was my first time using Let's Move it Right and my experience was very good. On the phone, I explained to Tom exactly what i needed to get done in order to get my clients items moved into their temporary rental home across the street. He went over rates with me which were very fare and turned out to be exactly accurate upon job completion. No surprises there. The guys he sent me showed up on time, were very pleasant and very accommodating. They worked non-stop and were very careful. Myself and my clients were very pleased. This company was easy to work with from the first call! Dennis came to give us a bid for moving our 4200 sq ft house to a new home 20 miles away. He suggested doing the move in 2 days vs 1. We were to pack all our boxed items and they would move the boxes &furniture. One week prior to our move, we lost two family members & were unable to pack all out items. When Dennis and his crew showed up, they never said a word about it, they just helped us pack. When the guys saw me pick up a box, they ran over and took it from me. They worked so well together & showed up early the next morning to continue. Our job ended up much more then Dennis had quoted but he didn't try and rip us off. The additional charge was EXTREMELY FAIR!! We only renting so will move again as soon as we find a new home. WE WILL DEFINATELY USE THESE GUYS AGAIN!! read more

Well I used "Let's Move It Right" based soley on the 2 positive Yelp reviews. I needed to move ASAP and I called a half dozen movers and no one could move on such short notice. Let's Move had an opening for the very next day...perhaps that should have been a red flag. I had everything boxed up except electronics and had donated most of my furniture, so it should have been a very simple move. I didn't even really mind the fact that it took them 5 hours to move about 20 boxes and some small furniture items less than a mile. What bothered me was they simply PILED up 2 computers, monitors, cable boxes, printers, etc into one huge box....it was not even labeled fragile and the guys were tossing it around like they were taking out the trash. Of course neither computer worked at all when unpacked...wouldnt even turn on. I filed a claim and was told over 2 weeks later they didn't cover computers unless they were broken in half! Yes....in the very small very fine print on the back of one of the contracts it states this...but there is a basic covenant of decency and professionalism between customer and mover that they will attempt to take care of your things. This move turned out costing me several thousand dollars and should have only cost $400 at the most. In addition...this company is very shady and located in some mysterious little office in the seediest part of Sun Valley. I would never hire these goons again. read more

In the past 3 years I have moved 4 (that's right, FOUR) times. First mover was someone I found on CL. Okay, one thing broken, charged me an extra hour. (and the move was literally across the street. Second two times, two things broken, different company, moved 2 miles away, charged/worked an extra hour. Yesterday I gave Let's Move It RIght a try. (after processing through several quotes from local movers). They arrived precisely at 8 am. (window of 8-9) I was moving from a house to a studio apartment. They loaded the truck in 45 minutes (including moving around some furniture I was leaving at the house). 8 miles away to the new home (better neighborhood, no frickin' roommates) and everything was in with furniture placed by 10:15 am. I only paid the original quoted price (plus a few packing supplies I'd needed last minute) for three guys who moved everything perfectly. And NOTHING broke (at least not on their end, I broke something). They are AWESOME. I will never use anyone else. -- addendum.. I am EXTREMELY anal when it comes to packing. Everything goes in a box and I move breakables and artwork myself. So please factor that in when you consider any mover. If you're not as particular about packing, it can be a different story. read more

Having moved a few times in my life, I was really dreading having to do it again. I was referred to Let's Move it by friends who had used them within the year and had had a great experience with them. I spoke to Tom and got the specifics about what I need to do, what they will do, cost per hour, etc, got confirmation 2 days before the move that everything was still good to go and finished packing up my apartment. To say that they WAY exceeded my expectations is an understament! Amado and Leno arrived at my apartment exactly on time and wow did they hustle! They moved at rate I didn't think possible, especially considering the amount of stuff I have and the size/weight of some of my furniture. There was absolutely no dilly dallying, complete efficiency and they were so careful moving everything, I was stunned. They moved me from West Hollywood to La Crescenta in just a few hours (that includes the drive time!!) and when they told me the price at the end of it, my jaw really hit the floor. Not only was I stunned, but every member of my family was beyond impressed and will absolutely be recommending them to everyone we know in need of movers. To understand how grateful I am for Let's Move It Right, I have to provide you with a brief background. I was scheduled to move today with another moving company. Pick-up time was between 8 am and noon. By 11:45 am, I grew concerned because the moving company didn't call and did not show by noon. I called the moving company and, long story short and after multiple false promises, they were a no-show. I had to hustle and find another moving company STAT. I HAD TO move today because I sold my condo and was scheduled to transfer ownership at 5:00 pm. Julian and Cesar arrived at 3:30 pm and had all of my items loaded and in tow within two hours. They were professional, careful, organized, and efficient. Once we arrived at the destination, they placed all of my items exactly where I wanted them. Julian and Cesar had my entire move completed within 6 hours--that included a 25 mile commute in LA traffic. I am more than pleased, eternally grateful, and will use Let's Move It Right again. These guys are awesome. I couldn't have asked for better movers. Not only were they early, but they did a fantastic job. They were the cheapest movers I could find hands down, and their service was top notch. There was NO hidden costs, but then again I asked alot of questions, but regardless just to be sure I knew all the details they went over everything with me the day of. They shrink wrapped my furniture no charge. They lent me their extra wardrobe boxes at no cost. They didn't charge me for the drive / gas as it was in the first 3 hours cap (it's a 3 hour minimum for their services) . They were efficient and fast. The winning factor for me was they helped me break down my furniture at no extra charge! I was so stressed about having to pay a handyman to come and do it, and they took care of it even though their boss hadn't told them I needed that service done. They were super helpful and didn't complain or even bat an eyelash about the fact they didn't know about breaking my furniture down before hand. Well, I would say the customer service team and dispatch office seem to be some what professional and responsive. However, the constant harrasment to complete this Yelp has irritated me to the point that I am writting the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Let's start off with Tom, I think he has asked me over 4 times to please write a good review of his company on yelp. Advising that even though the service was not the best and his team showed up 2hrs late to the old address and got lost coming to the new home and tried to charge me extra because they got lost that I should still write a great review. Saying that I did get a yelp discount, so that is equitable to the time that I lost waiting on his team. Hmmmm, you tell me? At first I did not mind writting a decent review for the company, however if you care more about your yelp score and begging me to write a good review then you do about the customer that is bad business. If I tell you I am going to write the review once I get settled, then let me do that. Do not continue to call and email me with reminders about this yelp review online. The fact of the matter is I was partially torn, because the customer service team did what they could to find out where the movers were. But, when the movers did finally show up, they did not seem to care and we were there only move for the day so they took there time. And then complained and felt that I should have gotten three movers instead of two. No, I should not have gotten three movers. You litterally only had to move a kids room, a master bedroom with just a bed and small furniture, clothes, tv stand, kitchen items(just dishes and glasses, etc) And clothes boxes and wardrobe boxes. No living room furniture, no kitchen appliances no heavy stuff. I could have moved myself, but really just didn't have the time. But, your staff wants to complain because my new location was at the end of the hall and they had to use an elevator....Maybe if your staff was a little more youthful then they would not complain. At the end of the day, the customer service seem to only be good because they want to continue to ask you to write a good review of them. The movers themselves, were extremely late and were unprofessional. They did move the items and seemed to pack the stuff up correctly, however that is your job. If you don't like your job or feel it is not the best do something to change it! Sooo, I would say if you don't mind tardiness and do not have any other plans and don't mind movers complaining and trying to overcharge you for them not mapquesting or making sure they knew where your address is. Then use these movers. I don't know after reading other reviews, I may just need to spend the extra money next time... Let's Move It Right moved my house this past weekend and did a great job! Ergoin, Jose, Jermain, and Daniel were very friendly and got right to work. They were with us through 2 trips over the estimated time because there was still some that I hadn't gotten packed yet. They were patient as I triaged what was going in the house vs to the garage. Buyer beware. Movers arrived 30 minutes late. Although they seemed nice enough, it took three movers 6 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment. There was no travel time involved. The old apt was 5 blocks from the new one and there were elevators in both buildings ( 12 -20 feet from elevator to apt door in both buildings). At some point they decided I was a deep pocket that they could jack. I'm sure it's because I was a woman there by myself, no man there to intimidate/ encourage them to hurry up. Cost me almost $900 (plus tip. $1050.00). Ridiculous!! Also they forgot two of my wall pictures on their truck, and it took them 3 weeks to deliver them to me and when they finally did, they delivered them to my old building instead of my new one!! Needless to say, I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone else! Would have posted this sooner but wanted to get my pictures first. read more

Wow. I can't say enough about this company. I started researching moving companies for my upcoming move from Redlands (upstairs) to Covina September 28, 2012. This company came up as the best in the ratings I had seen and now I understand why. Unless you are a professional mover I don't think you could imagine all the steps these guys take to protect your valuables. I hired 3 guys and they were at my apartment at the agreed time. They all had their individual jobs but helped each other. I had a lot of things that would not fit into the boxes I had packed. They don't charge you for blankets or wardrobe boxes but do charge you for tape and any other special things. Well, these guys worked so hard. They were fast but not to the point of being careless. I bought them subway sandwich lunches when we got to Covina. Do be prepared for it taking longer than you anticipated unless you have everything specially packed. Including couches, refrigerators, flat screens etc. At the other end they put everything back in place as directed and put the bed together. One of the greatest things they did was when I put my extra refrigerator into the laundry room the outside door would not close. On the other side up the wall was the laundry cabinet blocking the refrigerator from moving over. The lead man said, " If you like I will get my drill and raise that cabinet for you". I said "great". Sure enough, about 10 minutes at tops is all it took for them to raise the cabinet. I mean, you cannot prepare for this kind of thing and they just kept coming up with suggestions to solve issues. It really is a case of "you get what you pay for". (They were in the middle of 5 on quotes I received) I have hired movers in the past and it was not like this. I gave them each a tip at the end. This was a huge move with 21 years of collected stuff from our family needing to be packed and moved into a much smaller space with 1/3 the storage area. Tom was a real pr5ofessional in setting up this move. Julian led a terrific crew of himself and 2 other guys who were polite, hard-working, non-stop, conscientious, careful, neat, and respectful. I had a terrible experience with Let's Move it Right. After unilaterally dictating their delivery and payment terms to me AFTER I'd signed an agreement with them, and AFTER they'd taken possession of my belongings, they argued with me for an hour and a half in front of my new home, then refused to compromise (they wanted full cash payment and for me to sign off that everything had been received in good condition, BEFore unloading anything and letting me inspect) they drove off with my belongings and did not come back for a week, then held my stuff hostage until I complained to the PUC, which helped intervene and negotiate so that I could get my stuff back! read more

I was told the move was going to take 4 hours. It took 4.5 hours. Had to take things to 2 locations. Only 2 movers and they were awesome. Packaged everything nice and neetly. Took extra very careful approach to moving all my stuff. I would recommend them again and will use them again if I need to move again. Price was very reasonable. read more

I called Let's Move it at the last minute 3 days before my move and they came early on Sunday morning at 9 am. I was moving locally from the harbor area to the South bay, both places having limited street parking, tight corners and stairs. Cesar and Carlos finished moving my 2 bedroom apartment in under 3 hours, including drive time. They moved quickly, they worked hard and they figured out how to move the big pieces of furniture through the tight corners without damaging anything. I'm definitely calling them if I need to move again. They didn't complain, take long breaks or chit chat, they worked non stop and I had the whole Sunday afternoon left to unpack and enjoy my new place. read more
