    Jordanian Breakfast
    Ruthie R.

This was my first time visiting Lina's after a friend's recommendation. I went for the Jordanian Breakfast Special and it was everything that I hoped for. It includes 2 eggs (your style), veggies, cheese, olives, labneh dip, hummus, pita, and spices. *Chef's kiss Lina offers weeknight dinner specials and Thursday Bingo Night. As soon as my weekday/night schedule clears up, I plan to be a regular! I would have liked the option of gluten-free bread or pita since I have gluten intolerance, but I can always bring my own. Most importantly, Lina and the staff are amazing. They are so friendly and they treat you like family.

I love writing reviews like this one. A very hard working couple, long hours and days, serving very good food. Lina was it. She met me at the door. She seated me. She took my drink order. Then my food order. She brought my food out. She checked on me. She gave me my check. (Fair price warning). We chatted a bit. Natural and relaxed. A very likeable person, with a drive to succeed. Do drop in. Say hello to Lina. And wave to her equally hard working hubby in the kitchen. He's it. In 'the back of the house'. I wish them well.

I had the 2-2-2 and loved it! I especially needed pancakes today since the weather is in the 30's. Our waitress is friendly and prompt. Lina always makes you feel welcome when you enter her orbit. I enjoy seeing the mural as well as the scrolling "Lina's News" on the mounted tvs. Nice ambiance.

Exceptional food and top-tier service. There is a personal touch here that you only find with small businesses--highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality dining experience

My husband is so picky. I was hoping this would be a good choice. It's under new ownership so was not sure what to expect with the food and service. So here it is..... AMAZING!!! The food. The service. Everything was great. I am being completely honest when I say this. If you are reading this..... go get you some!! I had a build your own omelette with ham, cheddar cheese and spinach. It came with 2 sides and toast. Awesome deal. I got hash browns and grits. My husband got a waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. And he ate my grits. We loved all of it. The eggs were made perfectly. We were also given a free Mimosa. Yum!!! Overall great breakfast at a really nice place. We will definitely go back for sure.

We had the sweetest experience at Lina's Restaurant! We stopped by for their weekend brunch and were warmly welcomed by Lina and the chef-owner himself--it felt like visiting family. Brunch includes a complimentary mimosa and the food was full of flavor and made with care. We started with their housemade hummus and baba ganoush served with warm pita--so fresh and delicious. For mains, we tried several of their top handhelds: Philly cheesesteak Reuben Smash cheeseburger Cuban sandwich Each one was packed with quality ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. And to finish we had Lina's signature blueberry muffins--light, sweet, and the perfect ending. Beyond the food, the hospitality made the visit unforgettable. It's rare to find a place where the owner is so hands-on and passionate.

I consider this as a secret find when you are in the mood for some real Mediterranean treats like a good stuff grape leaves, falafels, hummus, babaganoush (egg plant)...all home made. In addition, they have a full menu for traditional breakfast and typical diner lunch and dinner food like sandwiches and cheeseburgers. The service is always super friendly, like a genuine family owned restaurant. While it's nothing fancy, it's a spot to definitely checkout if you like Mediterranean yummy foods.

Found this place recently and decided to give it a try. I ordered the special of the day and the wife got a falafel salad. My dish was really not much more than baked chicken (which was dry) with a clove spice flavored rice with a handful of carrots for $13,99. The server said it was enough to feed two people. I will leave that up to your opinion but would not have fed both of us. Our server was nice but struggled with English so communication was a little difficult. The wifes falafel salad was a little better but not great. The falafels were tasty but she had to remove number of pieces of wilted lettuce. Overall I don't think we will be back especially with Agave Social at the other end of the building.

I came here for lunch and was immediately greeted and seated. The decor is very unique with the wall murals. I got Lina's Signature Bowl with Falafel. I really enjoyed it. The Falafel and hummus was quite tasty. My one complaint would be the olives were black olives and it would have tasted better with Kalamata olives. The server was friendly and attentive. I would give it a 4.5 star for this meal.

If you haven't tried the smashburgers here, you are missing out! It's my favorite in Tampa! Food is top tier, service is excellent, and it's all around a great, local place!

The level of service honestly reminded us of Bern's Steak House--professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server, Alvaro, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and was attentive without ever being overbearing. Paul greeted us when we arrived and checked on us throughout dinner, which made us feel truly valued as guests. We started with the Caponata Siciliano "Bruschetta Style," and it was the perfect way to begin our meal. It came with 4 pieces of bread, we couldn't resist eating 2 of them before the photo. For our entrée, we had the Tortellini alla Panna, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. We ended the evening with chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry gelato, and were pleasantly surprised with complimentary cannolis--a thoughtful touch that made the night even more special. The appetizers were calamari, meatballs, goat cheese baklava, and a broccolini flatbread. I have to say these were all the least favorite plates for me. I couldn't eat the meatballs because I don't eat pork, but my husband said they were delicious. Others said the honey goat cheese baklava was one of the best things they have eaten. The calamari doesn't have tentacles, which is actually my favorite part. I thought it was good, not great. And I would skip the flatbread. It was just a regular flatbread to me. Then they brought out a Caesar salad. It's a wedge Caesar salad and it is absolutely delicious. I loved it, but it does have anchovies if you are not an anchovy person. This is a get every time salad for me. For the Mains, we got sides of mushroom, sides of mac & cheese, sides of brussels sprouts, the ribeye, Cacio E Pepe, Sicilian chicken, grouper piccata, and mafaldine basil pesto. My favorite was the Cacio E Pepe. They said the noodles were made in house and they definitely taste that way. They are thick and al dente and absolutely divine. The ribeye is fatty so if you like fat meat, this is for you. The mashed potatoes were also delicious that came with it. My husband really liked the Brussel sprouts, they were pretty good. I loved the mushrooms and would get it again. Neither of us were a huge fan of the mac & cheese. I thought all of the chicken was OK. I also like the grouper. But honestly, if I came back, I would go straight for that pasta. Then for dessert, we had the salted chocolate chunk cookies, which were amazing. They do cookies very, very well. We also had the crème brûlée which was OK and the sacred Sunday, which comes with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pistachio ice cream. It was good, but honestly, my favorite was the cookies. There was also a wine pairing with each course. I'm not a huge wine person, but it did end up being a lot of wine. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, I love the decor of this place, you will not look out of place dressed up. It is an older crowd since we are in the heart of Carrollwood, but I would definitely come back.

I enjoyed sipping on it throughout the meal, and it was the perfect drink to warm me up. For food, we ordered the golden beet salad, the black bean sauce mushrooms, yakitori, sea bass collar, and the lamb vindaloo pappardelle. We also ordered the olive oil cake for our dessert. My ranking - yakitori: divine! the use of the jammy egg yolk as a sauce was creative and well-executed. The chicken was also expertly grilled and juicy. Even the lemon with the seasoning added great acidity and spice to the dish. loved it! - sea bass collar: this was delicious and a fun experience. We really appreciated we could eat with our hands, and the wet towelette to clean our hands after we were done. I love a nuoc cham sauce, and it goes great with fried fish. I thought also four pieces of collar was a sizeable portion to split with two people. - olive oil cake: scrumptious and light yet so satisfying, definitely hit our dessert crave. No notes. - golden beets: the beets are nice and sweet, followed by the gooseberries in here which add a tartness, but the ricotta mellows out the flavors and adds richness and creaminess. The bread for dipping is also quite nice. - pappardelle: wish this was a bit more saucey as the noodles were quite thick and layered. The spices of vindaloo were there, but the flavors didn't penetrate through to the pappardelle noodles. - mushrooms: my friend really liked this dish, so it's all personal preference of course. I thought the black bean sauce was a bit glued to the bottom, almost too pastey. It didn't incorporate with all of the mushrooms, so the ones at the top didn't have as much flavor as those on the bottom. I think the paste could have used some loosening with some liquid, although that might forgo some of the mushroom crispiness. Towards the end, the sauce was just too overpowering so I couldn't find myself reaching for it. Service was wonderful. We were checked on multiple times, and when we got up to go to the restroom, the staff would come over and fold our napkins back on the table for us. I found prices to be super reasonable for what we got. A must-go if you're in the tampa area!
