A few weeks ago I had a specialty offering that was as heart-attack-inducing and transcendentally delicious a burger as I can remember. I believe it was a maple-coated bacon cheddar burger with both sweet potato fries and mac and cheese piled on top. You can't do this every day, but sometimes it's just necessary. Outstanding. There were also spicy tater-tots that were more like gougere-hushpuppy hybrids, of which dozens could have been eaten rather than 5. Alas, these weren't available the next time I went (A few days ago). I opted for a more standard but custom built, bacon and cheddar burger on brioche, which I topped with bbq sauce. Again, just what I wanted and excellent. Classic, "hot" Buffalo wings were also executed just right. I should also mention that there is a great beer selection...Abita Purple Haze is always a good choice for this kind of meal. In a nutshell, Little B's get's it done better than anyone else in the area for when burger consumption is needed, which tends to be more often than not. read more

We were in Tarrytown for The Great Jack O'lantern Blaze so the area was packed with tourists. This place is right on the main strip and luckily it didn't have a long wait at all AND it had the cutest outdoor seating. Making our own burgers was really fun because they had so many unique toppings to choose from. I also appreciated that they allowed me to get my sauces on the side so I could use them on my fries instead of my burger. First, allow me to begin by saying this was the BEST burger I have had in upwards of 5 years. The server (Liz) was fantastic- attentive but not obnoxious, she knew when my glass was empty and she was very personable. All the staff worked well together. No dirty tables, no one asking for anything. The beer selection was very well balanced and while they didn't have 25 taps, they were able to have a great selection of every style craft beer you could want- and they were all good. I am a girl who knows her beers and knows her burgers ;) Personally, I had the pilsner because I feel like it complimented my meal. The Sweet Thai wings were also a hit. They were perfectly done- great flavors, and the fry had the perfect texture. The burger was done to perfection and the Arthur Ave bun is the way to go. If you like sweet potato fries, get them! They also have a deal on Yelp right now which I didn't even bother to check when I got there because I was preoccupied with getting through the selection process but it's $10 for $20. The atmosphere was nice- good temperature, nice mix of couples, guys hanging out, and a family and yet it was not too noisy. Fast, friendly, good food for a moderate price and a great value if you take advantage of the Yelp deal. Five stars for this place for pleasing an overly critical Social Media Strategist! Bravo! Picked this place as its usually quick, we had a 7pm show at the Music Hall and arrived just before 6pm. Figured an hour should be sufficient. After being told a 20 minute wait for a table, while there's open tables in a place that doesn't take reservations - we rearranged the guests sitting at the bar to accommodate us. The bartender although friendly was slow in taking our order for drinks and delivering them - in front of him. The food order, my friends Al Pastor burger came out perfectly cooked and correct, my order was completely wrong - burger RAW, toppings missed and sides incorrect. The burger sent back to be cooked now came out on the well side (over compensating) still missing toppings and the fries - they refried them so they would be hot and were now really crunchy. A total of 45 minutes for a two burgers and beer order - we had fifteen minutes to eat. The tables never were filled and the place was pretty empty by the time we left. Get your act together - you do have tasty food and a decent drinks/beer list!! read more

I was on a road trip to Tarrytown NY this week and I was able to find one of the best burger restaurants that I have been too in a long while. My wife and I were happy to find a place for a late lunch with the kids that had GF options. Little B's isn't hard to find due to it's location across the street from the firehouse in Tarrytown. The restaurant had a "build your own" burger option with Gluten free choices available, several meat choices including Bison and a huge array of add ons, cheeses and side dishes. GF free oil is used in a separate fryer for the FFs. Simply fill out the small menu with the pencil provided at the table and hand it to your server. Very easy, very quick and very efficient. Service was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The server was very patient with my pickey 11 year old. Food was served hot, quick and all orders were correct. Presentation was good. The interior was inviting and trendy. Nice full bar with plenty of local brews with a nice tap selection. I would definitely like to return. All of our food was absolutely delicious and hot. Prices were good and realistic for the quality and amount of food. On a side note. I was cautious about the parking situation in "downtown" Tarrytown. We were able to find plenty of street parking and a couple of municipal parking lots available. read more

We love Little B's! It's perfect for young (broke) people who want something more interesting than the normal irish pub. The food is creative and good for the price. $10 for a huge customized burger and fries! They also make some good cocktails. They may not have the best service ever but they certainly don't mind if you sit around for a while after your meal is done. They also serve food until 3am or something, so you can drink first then eat! What a novel idea. I dig it. If you are pretentious foodie, don't go here. Stopped in for lunch after the Sleepy Hollow 10k. We were absolutely famished! We ordered the pork empanadas to start. Gross. Oil was dripping out the bottom and the filling was tasteless. We order one burger, two turkey burgers and a chicken breast. Food came super fast and was really good but there were issues. I ordered pineapple but it was not on my burger. My sister ordered a whole wheat bun but it looked like all the rest. Obviously these were not deal breakers but I did want to mention them to our server. Unfortunately we didn't see him again until he collected our payment. He never asked how our food was or even brought the check. We had to ask the girl who was continuously bussing our table for our check which was odd since other customers were waiting for tables. All in all I would def go back for the great burger, sweet potato fries and a shake. Although they serve good food, service is horrible! Slow, high and rude staff!! We tried this place a few different times thinking our experience could have been better, but no luck. Owner should really focus on hiring a better management to be on top of things and staff to make sure the consumer keeps on coming back!! I just watched the bartender blow his nose, run his hands through his hair, wipe his hands on his pants and throw a dirty rag on a split beer, without even a glance at the sink. Not sure what brings people back to this place. Service is habitually slow - three times is not a charm - have given them enough of an opportunity. And when I say slow I mean they've forgotten about you slow. They also get orders wrong - items show up missing pieces and drink sizes are comparatively small - an ice tea comes in a small and narrow juice size glass. A great find not too far off from 287 and the Tappan Zee Bridge. Worth stopping to grab some grub while making your way north or south, east or west. This one takes a prize for the idiotic management. Here is the setting. Two people walk into a half empty restaurant on Thursday at 6 pm. The manager says we have no open tables. There are 4 open, each seats four people. I asked why can't we sit at one of those. He answers we are holding them for larger groups. What groups? The streets of Tarrytown are not exactly teaming with large groups on Thursday at 6 pm. Hold on to your empty tables. Next time I come by your restaurant will be gone. read more

The idea of this place is awesome. Build your own burger (angus, bison, chicken, veggie, etc.) or salad with lots of options for toppings. You could even choose from a brioche or whole wheat bun, English muffin or gluten-free bun. I went with the brioche bun but it was incredibly soggy to the point that my burger would not stay together when I tried to pick it up. The flavor of my burger was good though. My sweet potato fries were burnt - that was a letdown. The table next to us ordered wings which smelled delicious! The service was OK, just not very attentive. I was so happy our group of 5 chose this place. Compared to the other restaurants in the area around 6 on a Saturday night, it had a very short wait (30 min) and reasonable prices (entrees under $20). The food was amazing, especially the fries (both regular and truffle). The waitress we got was very kind and answered all our questions and strange requests. Would have been a five star review if the host didn't forget to write down our name when we arrived. If we hadn't followed up as our estimated wait time ended just as a table happened to be clearing, I'm not sure what would have happened. Would definitely come here again. read more

I had no idea that this restaurant existed. We were walking by a few nights ago, so we decided to stop in. The idea is really cool - you get to customize your own burger (or salad) with a list of pretty awesome ingredients and sauces. You can get a burger with 4 toppings and a sauce with fries for $10. That's a pretty awesome thing. I went for a beef burger with goat cheese, caramelized onions, grilled pineapple and horseradish mayo. I asked for a side of roasted garlic aioli for the fries, and it was great. The burger itself was good. It was average, but the toppings were great. It was extremely messy to eat. I've had better burgers, but I really think that this place will get better the longer they're around (it's fairly new from what I understand). They have a fun way to bring out your check - it's tucked into an old book that people get to write all over. There was some pretty funny stuff in there, and I liked the idea (although the book itself looked pretty dirty). One thing of note - the music that was being played while we ate there was FANTASTIC! It was a mix of some of my favorite rock bands - Led Zeppelin, The Raconteurs, Stone Temple Pilots...I don't think there was one song I didn't LOVE the entire meal. Excited to go try this cute place with my kids in tarry town. It was the first weekend of spring and the place was full. There was one empty table and after looking for a waitress or anyone to make eye contact with us so we could ask to be seated we took the empty table. Then a girl showed up and told us people were waiting. We apologized and asked how long the wait was. No clear answer. Very unsure "maybe like 15 minutes?" We had to wait outside on the street. After 10 minutes of waiting outside I came back in to make sure this waitress knew that we did indeed want a seat when available. She asks me "did u give me your name?" I was getting frustrated. We wait. We finally get to move inside to the "lounge area." I tell my husband to go up to the bar and get us some beers while we wait to help ease the pain of my children telling me how hungry they are and how they cant possibly wait any longer for food. We get two beers that he pays for at the bar. Very good. We get seated. We order. The food comes. Every morsel is delicious. The wait was worth it. Chicken sliders GREAT. Onion rings GREAT. Burgers DELICIOUS. I was very satisfied. This place is about to be the HIT of tarrytown. We get check. All I can say is this was the best burger I've had in ages. You are presented with a pick list of items to add to your burger so you build it as you want it. The waiter didn't ask how I wanted it cooked but it didn't matter as it was cooked perfectly. Also the parmesan truffle fries were to die for. One burger was a little undercooked but the flavor was great, the service is pleasant, everyone is friendly. Last but most definitely not least, they have a great selection of beer.
