I came in on labor day and noticed they were understaffed. Nonetheless, they did their best and were very kind. I did have to wait a while for my food but it's expected since they were understaffed and had many orders that day. But it was definitely worth it because that staff was super accommodating and sweet. And my food was delicious! I've gone to this place before and have loved it every time. It's a cute little cafe with great coffee. I found it a great place to eat lunch with friends or catch up on some work. And I definitely recommend getting the mother earth matcha. My husband got the bacon and egg. The potatoes were hard/raw in the middle. Toast was ok. Everything was just very average. I mean, it's kinda hard to make bad breakfast food anyways? Service: it took a good 15-20 minutes to order, as the server seemed new. Which is ok, everyone starts somewhere. Good thing it wasn't busy on a Sunday morning. A little fun story he felt really bad for serving us a leaking water cup, so he kept apologizing. But it's all good we were not bothered and not in a rush. I ordered a cup of tomato bisque soup and a grilled cheese and both were delicious. The tomato bisque was the best I've had in a long time. It's super flavorful and has a nice chunkyness to it. The grilled cheese had sharp cheddar that had a great cheese pull when you open the sandwich. Definitely will order both again. I also had a chocolate chip cookie and small latte. My husband got the vanilla latte and I got the lavender vanilla one because the worker told me it was popular. Well, I loved my husbands drink better. This is such a charming place to have breakfast, lunch and drinks! I've become a regular because everything is delicious and all of the workers I've interacted with are so pleasant. I usually get the 2 egg breakfast or the BLT and it's never a miss. The matchas are perfect every time too! This might be my new favorite place in Arcadia and what a wonderful addition to the area. The food, atmosphere and staff are top notch. We started with a delightful blueberry pastry then had the Nicoise Sandwich and Caesar Salad. Now I'm particular about my Nicoise and usually have it as a salad but making it a sandwich was a good call. The dressing on the Caesar was so good, I could take a nice piece of bread and soak up all its goodness and eat like that. The decor makes you feel as if you're in Provence. The covered patio and adorable little garden are perfect for SoCal (if it ever stops raining.) My aunt was having surgery nearby (I was her driver) and decided to get something to eat while I waited for her. I was informed they were only serving breakfast, so I opted for their little Provence breakfast sandwich. To drink, I chose their coffee frappe-ccino. I don't recommend either. The sandwich was described as: House-Made (FR), Two Eggs, scrambled in a chopped Applewood Smoked Bacon Crunch, Red Onions, and melted Sharp Cheddar Cheese, served on an Extra-Large English Muffin. The sandwich was DRY, eggs were over cooked, bacon was chewy, barely there and not crunchy, and did not seem to have any cheese. The drink tasted like blended watered down unsweetened iced coffee, nothing special. The cafe is cute, nicely decorated, with seating inside and outside. I sat there for a short while and was going to dine in but decided to leave because there was a small group of customers dining that were extremely loud, one who's laugh was like a witch cackling, which was a bit annoying and unsettling to me. Finally got a good coffee shop in Arcadia. My son always complains that Arcadia doesn't have decent coffee shops. I have been watching the construction of this shop for months as I can see it from the window of LAfitness where work out in the morning. It's finally opened its door today. This place serve very good italian Illy coffee. Illy is probably new to most Americans, but they are very popular in Europe and Asia. illy coffee shops are everywhere, just like Starbucks in the US. I am surprised to find this shop in Arcadia. Very glad that we Arcadians will get to enjoy gourmet coffees from now on. As of this morning, it seems that their pastry oven is not ready yet, no pastries on offer for breakfast. We just have to wait a bit longer to try out their croissants. Visited on a lazy Sunday morning. The atmosphere is pretty nice - cute french decor and pleasant palette of colors. There are only a few tables inside, the dining space is mostly a spacious patio. There was a tv playing football so you can enjoy the game while you hang out. They've just expanded their menu with breakfast items like quiche and omelets and a couple of entrees like NY Steak and Grilled Chicken Provencal. We ordered. (Unfortunately forgot to take pictures) : Filet of Salmon Sandwich - quality piece of salmon perfectly seared and most importantly, not overcooked. Pesto aioli was a delicious herby accompaniment. The bread was soft - not sure if it was authentic french baguette type bread as it wasn't crusty at all but it made for easier eating with such delicate moist flakiness of the salmon. Nicoise Salad - Good amount of tuna and just right boiled eggs. It also had cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons and the greens (very fresh) were very lightly dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette. However I'm used to Nicoise traditionally having some variation of green beans, potatoes and olives so maybe an addition of any of those items would make it seem more thoughtful and less like a garden salad with eggs and tuna. Build Your Own Omelet - unfortunately pretty bad. I ordered bacon mushroom and zucchini as a filling. It came out very flat and depressed looking. The eggs were all an unappetizing gray (presumably from the mushrooms not being cooked before adding) and very overcooked/browned. The rosemary potatoes side was fine. This was a newly added item in their expanded menu so I hope this is just a fluke and will improve over time. After we finished, the owner stopped by the table and we had a brief chat. He was very friendly and seemed to really care about his new business. I thought about telling him about the disappointing omelet but ultimately guts/heart and ended up just complimenting the salmon. Overall a little uneven on this visit but given we only had three items and other factors like the nice relaxed setting, polite service and many other menu items will have us back again to try again. read more

terrific little corner cafe with fabulous french offerings! i had wanted to try this spot since they opened (i want to say that previously it was a pharmacy or a bike shop but can't say for sure!) my dad who visits occasionally had been there once before and wanted to take me there on a recent trip. after reading some reviews and their menu, i called to check if dogs were allowed on their patio- they were, so we went on a tuesday morning for brunch! the parking lot was small, but we found parking on the street and entered thru their patio entrance and ordered at the register. my dad got an eggs benedict dish with spinach and i opted for the quiche with mushrooms and spinach. both came with a side salad and i had planned on getting some potatoes on the side, but after i saw the croissants in the bakery display i got one of those instead. he got a regular latte and i had the little provence latte which is sweetened with lavender. we picked out a table on the patio and got some waters. it was a very pleasant environment and interesting to watch the cars pass by at an intersection i had been driving for decades now. our items were brought out to our table and everything tasted fresh and delicious! my quiche was perfect- ingredients all fresh and freshly baked and the crust was buttery and flaky. the coffee and croissant were terrific as well! after we ate, we sat and enjoyed the setting and finished our coffee. oh, my dog freddy enjoyed the patio as well and got a few nibbles of my croissant! though it seemed to be self-bussing restaurant, the cashier/ server was kind enough to check in on us and clear our plates- thank you! all in all it was a great cafe/ brunch experience and i definitely look forward to returning to try other menu items! five stars! read more

We were so looking forward to their opening because we missed France so much! I lived in France for over 10 years and went there with my French husband. The food does NOT taste nor look FRENCH at all!! We were kind of disappointed. The only French items were the Perrier, the Champagne, and the Monin syrup. 1. The Roti de Bœuf sandwich didn't have the Dijonnaise mustard sauce in it, or are maybe there was sauce but it didn't taste like a Dijonnaise sauce. Also, they spelled it incorrectly "Roti du Beouf" instead of "Roti de Bœuf". My husband wanted to tell them but we didn't get a receipt and so didn't have paper to write on it. 2. The BLT à la Provence didn't taste like anything from Provence. Dishes from that region of France are well-known for using herbs such as thyme, rosemary and oregano. The pesto aioli sauce tasted like a regular pesto sauce, there was no aioli in there, because we didn't get the garlic taste. 3. The French ham and cheese sandwich should be a French classic, but I was very disappointed. They used Provolone cheese, which is Italian and doesn't taste like the cheese in the classic French sandwich "jambon fromage". The closest cheese to the original recipe should be Swiss cheese, which is what I think they should've used, if they're not getting the French emmental. Also, I doubt that they use real French ham, which is called "Jambon de Paris". So the French ham and cheese sandwich was not so French! Overall, the food is not that bad. The taste is ok. It's just not French, which is what they market to be. Not sure if I'll be going back anytime soon though... unfortunately. I do recommend it, if you're not looking for French type of food, but just a sandwich place, then you can try it! read more

We ordered the eggs Benedict with potatoes and a crêpe. The Benedict bread was super thin, not really toasted and slightly cold. There was hardly any hollandaise sauce which was too watery and when asked for extra, they said they ran out overall the taste was not good especially for $20. The crêpe we ordered was Nutella that was also drizzled with what tasted like Hershey's chocolate sauce. The crêpe claims to be homemade which it may be but tasted like a chip they clearly overcooked the crêpe and the taste was actually terrible for $20. I would definitely skip this place and try somewhere else. read more
