I have a mixed feeling about this place, I will start with the good first. The decor is cute, and the environment is clean. It has a little market inside the store, that sells soaps, honey, tea, coffee, olive oils, wines, homemade granola, cookies and chocolate, and lots of cute stuff. We were happy to see they serve all day gourmet breakfast, and were excited to try their granny's old Provencal recipes. But unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The French toast Provence style ($12.95) was interesting to try. It only came with some whipped cream and a few pieces of strawberries, I was expecting more on the plate, it was plain. We also did not like our $15 sandwich, it tasted like they put leftover spaghetti meatballs into the sandwich. Same issue, plain! The biggest complaint was the service, oh Jesus, which was not very polite and very limited. It was our first time visiting this cafe, and we didn't get greeted when we walked in the store (which is fine, I don't really care). We were a bit undecided about what to eat so we stood there for awhile analyzing their overhead menu which there are (2) at opposite ends, makes no sense. The font was tiny and offering us a paper menu would have made a lot of sense. Instead the young female staff who took our order stood by the cash register, seemed really impatient, and kept asking are we ready to order? She only smiled when she noticed a tip when we paid. I almost thought she was racist, but she seemed to act the same to everyone. So maybe, she had a bad morning? Yet, I just don't think we needed to see that attitude. There was also another older gentleman who I assume is the owner. He literally went out of his way to greet every patron except us. He walked by us multiple times, glanced at our table, and never made eye contact or said a word. Never asking if we needed anything, or asked if the food was okay. Service might be the reason why we will not return. Overall, it did not give us a welcoming feeling. I don't want to point out this, but I hope they are not choosing customers to serve. Perfect little spot for brunch and treat for you and friend or family. Love the ambiance of a little French or Italian cafe in quiet neighborhood. The service is very attentive and kind. Love all there menu options, food feels very fresh and in season. Had a blueberry lemon muffin after lunch and was so moist and flavorful. Will be a returning spot for my visits to Arcadia . read more

I don't normally go for a huge breakfast in the morning. Coffee and a pastry is the perfect portion. So when I saw this cute little spot, I decided to try it with a friend. She got the regular drip coffee and a blueberry muffin and I got a vanilla latte with an almond croissant. The total with tip came out to be about $21. The coffee was really good but both of us weren't ecstatic about our pastry. We thought it was a little dry for our taste. Their sandwiches and breakfast plates looked good judging from what we saw other people order. So def will try again when I am more hungry. read more

Chicken salad and ham/cheese sandwich. They were delicious and plenty meat on great bread. Peanut butter cookies crisp just how we like them. Will pdefinitely be back. Everything made fresh on site. It's a cute place to meet friends for brunch or lunch. You order around the register and they will bring the food to you. My favorite was their matcha latte. It was very smooth and not too sweet. I also like their crepes. I haven't tried the sandwiches. Perhaps when I'm hungry. Salads are ok. read more

I got the Tuna Nicoise sandwich, and have to agree with other reviewers, that it was the best tuna sandwich I've ever had. Little Provence seems committed to fresh and flavorful; I can't wait to try other things on the menu. Also, I like what they've done inside and out, to create a feeling of Provence on Baldwin Avenue. Love the ambiance. It's nice to sit on the patio near the fountain. They have a good happy hour, just wish every time I want another glass that I don't have to go back to the register. Also, there's a bit of flies if you sit in the patio. Service is okay, the employees are primarily inside by the register unless they bring you your order. This spot was under construction for ages and we were eager to give it a try. We stopped by for dessert and were a little underwhelmed and didn't see the need to come back. A few weeks ago we received a coupon for breakfast so we decided to go back and see what they had to offer. I ordered the French toast and an espresso and my girlfriend the Nutella pancakes and a mocha. Both meals were delicious. The staff is friendly and I like the indoor outdoor feel of the place in the morning. I'm glad that we went back! read more

Came on a Monday evening with my laptop to work on things outside in the shaded patio. It was a pleasant experience to feel the open window breeze on a hot summer day while reading through heaps of information. There's 1 outlet outside and 2 inside for charging. It's located on a busy Main Street, but luckily I had my ear buds to help focus on my works. The workers are friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Generally, the food is good here. The sandwiches are good, very hearty, but two sandwiches and a drink will cost you about $70+. Today though, I ordered two eggs Benedict and got fried eggs :(. They said that's all they can do, since they can't boil water. Also, the hollandaise sauce is thick, can't pour it over the eggs, it's coagulated and cold. How is that my problem. Feel like this place needs some work and time to refine their items. read more

Decent Walking in it was nice and very cute. There was a patio seating and indoor seating. Servers were somewhat nice, just did their job. After seating, the waiter doesn't provide you with utensils so you have to walk up and ask for them behind the counter. The pizza itself was very soggy, and the topping fell off so easily. The bottom was completely wet and way too much cheese and sauce. I do not recommend the pizza but next time I will try the sandwiches. read more

My first experience here after a friend recommended it, and we had just returned from AIX in Provence. I ordered the arugula salad with chicken A wonderful explosion of taste in every bite. I enjoyed this with a great mocha coffee. My hubby got a sandwich that was so thoroughly filled. He almost couldn't eat it. We can't wait to take our friends and our kids back here. Cute cafe, I loved the ambience in the outdoor seating area -- flowers, sunshine, nice cool breeze, great shade, perfect vibes for people watching next to the street. The service was great, very nice servers and made me feel welcome once I came in. The garden salad was quite yummy actually, I'm not a huge salad person but I polished off the entire bowl. I ordered the Demi salad and sandwich -- the roast beef sandwich wasn't my favorite but I liked that they added mushrooms in there. Will be back when I'm in Arcadia! read more

Today I ordered Togo and got a sandwich, croissant, and French dip. I would say everything was delicious but the croissant was not in the bag when I got home. I know I should probably check, but was in a rush because I was only on my lunch break. Would definitely come back here but check your order for EVERYTHING. The sandwiches here are to die for..... I don't really favor sandwiches but the ones here are so consistent and just chefs kiss. Ive had the ham one and the roast beef one, both are tasty. Service is always the best as the workers are genuinely nice and care about the customers. This is a cute little cafe with a beautiful outdoor patio, perfect for a catch up with friends or cozy date night. I come to study all the time and every thing here is superb. The shop seems like a great family own store with a couple of extra employees. Highly recommend this spot! read more

This is a lovely small business but the prices were about $3 too much for each item. I ordered a BLT, a grilled cheese sandwich, two cups of tomato soup and a pastry and it came to over $52. That being said I was expecting more then what I got when I opened my to go bag. My grilled cheese sandwich was burnt on both sides and yet because of the way it was wrapped it was not crispy. The pumpkin chocolate loaf had an very aggressive spice in it and I could only eat about half of it. I don't know if it was ginger or cloves or what the spice was but it was not pleasing it was too much. The tomato soup was so oily that the lid was pure oil. I had high hopes for the BLT but whatever spread they used, it could have been pesto, just overwhelmed the entire sandwich. Next time I will definitely read the menu more closely before I order anything and I would have had a better idea about the ingredients and the prices. read more

I've gotta say, my family and I waited (what seemed like) an eternity for this place to open ... It took months (years seemingly?) but I can say with certainty -- it was well worth the wait! This place is adorable with a sweet patio ... here are some of my favorite highlights: - The owners and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable - I've been here several times and everything we've tried here is great, but so far? (Pro-Tip) I think what I've been most impressed with is the Tuna Nicoise Salad ... Look, I have to say -- I'm not really a "salad person" (per se), but man, this salad is dy-no-mite ... It's the perfect calibration of hearty greens, ripe tomatoes, delicate tuna, subtle oil, awesome herbs and other yummy stuff ... I can honestly say this is a "cravable salad", and I'll be back for it! Easily one of the best salads I've ever had. - (Another Pro Tip): If you're dining in, lucky you because you can have pints of RT Rogers Brew on draft! The only other place I've seen this on tap is at the brewery itself in Sierra Madre, so what a lovely little collaboration they have going here. All in all, this is truly a gem in the SGV; we're spoiled with incredible Asian food on every corner ... but French Bistros where everything is made from scratch? Don't sleep on this one! read more

Super cute little sandwich shop/ cafe. They have seating outside and inside - both are nice. Staff was overall friendly. Their sandwiches were delicious! The pesto was my favorite, but the eggplant, roast beef and meatloaf were all very good. Roughly $13 per sandwich. I also got an iced lavender latte and it was yummy too!! I definitely see myself coming back here again for sandwiches. read more

I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. We ordered the chorizo potato burritos, and they were excellent. They were packed with flavor, generously sized, and my wife couldn't even finish hers. The salsas they served with them were delicious and really tied everything together. We ended up coming back another day to try the burgers, and they were just as impressive. Everything tasted fresh, the burgers were juicy, and the fries were perfectly crispy. This has easily become my new burger spot whenever I'm in the Pasadena area. The drive thru can get pretty busy during peak hours, but the staff works quickly, so the wait wasn't that bad. I love old school burger joints and the vibe from the outside. It has that classic local spot feel that makes the food taste even better. Definitely would come back!

The pastrami had good flavor, although some pieces were oddly chewy. The beef patty also tasted like it had been frozen, which kind of just took away from the burger. Chili Cheese Tots - 7.5/10 The tater tots themselves were great, they were perfectly crisp and cooked well, but, the chili cheese was a bit underwhelming, since I could barely taste the chili. Overall - 7.6/10 (for dining in) the food is decent and id say that its an okay spot if you're looking for a quick bite, and they give fairly large portions. Other then that, I'd recommend using the drive-thru instead of dining in. It's way faster, and you won't have to deal with the cleanliness and long waits inside.

The girl who had made my food was maybe 5 feet away and couldn't even turn around to look at me or apologize. Very disappointing since the owner seemed like a nice guy who probably works extremely hard to build and maintain his business, only to have it ruined by some employee who couldn't even care enough to take 5 sec to put on a hair net. Shame on her.

I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. The Yakitori Platter was a great choice because it let us sample a variety of grilled proteins, and even the grilled zucchini was incredibly delicious. The presentation of the Tonkatsu Omurice was impressive, and the curry sauce was well-balanced with just the right amount of spice to complement the crispy tonkatsu. Its hard to describe but the soup was tangy, refreshing, and had a spicy kick to it. It pairs perfect with a hot bowl of rice. The crispy pork was also very good, flavorful. I also really enjoyed the coconut lava balls - they were the perfect sweet treat after all the savory items. Portions are generous and the employee helped me pack up my leftovers. I would say that the price is pretty good for the amount of food you get! Will definitely be back to try more souppppp!

Every once in a while, you stumble onto a place that makes you wonder, "How have I been driving past this for years?" Little Provence Café sits on the corner of Baldwin and Naomi in Arcadia, and it's exactly the kind of restaurant my father, Elmer Dills, built a career discovering. Owner Dennis named the café after his mother, Rosemari, and his love for the Provence region of France. I've never been to France, but after spending an afternoon here--with the soft French music, friendly atmosphere, and the aroma of fresh herbs--I felt like I'd taken a little trip without leaving Arcadia. Nothing here feels rushed or pre-made. The Quiche Lorraine is made from scratch, the salmon sandwich features a generous four-ounce portion of fresh salmon, and the Rôti de Bœuf (their French roast beef sandwich) is slow-smoked and topped with a rich Dijonaisse sauce that's prepared overnight. The Niçoise salad was fresh and satisfying, while the Caesar reminded me of one of my favorite bits of food trivia--the original Caesar salad was actually created in Mexico. Dennis even grows herbs for the restaurant, and you can taste that extra attention in everything from the olive oil to the finishing touches on each dish. I skipped brunch on this visit, but I'll definitely be back. The coffee is Illy from Italy, and Dennis laughed, "Sometimes you have to admit the Italians make great coffee." Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or simply an espresso, Little Provence Café is one of those neighborhood restaurants that's easy to miss--but well worth finding. I mean, seriously, I could probably get a better meal at half the cost elsewhere. And don't even get me started on the portion sizes. They're laughably small, like they expect you to survive on air alone. But wait, it gets worse. The food takes an eternity to arrive. I'm talking waiting so long that I practically grew a beard by the time my plate finally showed up. And when it did, it was cold and unappetizing. We were really looking forward to trying this bakery, especially given its name, "Provence," which set our expectations for something authentically French. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The croissants, which were the only items we tried, did not taste anything like what you would expect from a French bakery. They lacked the essential qualities of a good croissant : there was no crisp, flaky exterior and no soft, buttery interior. In fact, they tasted quite poor overall, and we even had doubts about their freshness. To make matters worse, they were extremely expensive. We paid $37 for five croissants for our family, which feels completely unreasonable given the quality. If you're looking for good croissants, we strongly recommend heading to French bakeries in Pasadena instead, where prices are similar but the taste and quality are far superior. While the space is nicely decorated both inside and out, with a lovely outdoor patio, the food left much to be desired. Despite the attention given to the ambiance of the space, it seemed like very little attention was given to the quality of the food. I was served pastries that were clearly two or three days old and passed off as fresh daily deliveries. The French toast was equally disappointing, both in taste and appearance. Additional, the staff didn't seem properly trained and didn't even bother to take cash. I suggest that owners focus more on improving the quality of the food, as that should be the priority of any restaurant. This was my second visit and unfortunately I won't be going back. read more

So asked for more vanilla & it helped a little but just think other flavors are so much better ( strawberry, mango, berry) so I wouldn't order that again. He looked over at his coworker, who also appeared visibly disgusted, and they just stared at each other for a moment before deciding to serve it anyway. That immediately made me question the freshness of the drinks. I ended up choosing a different flavor, so I didn't think much more about it at the time. Later that day, I came down with severe food poisoning. My boyfriend ate the exact same food that I did and was completely fine, so the only thing I had that he didn't was the agua fresca. While I can't say with absolute certainty that it was the cause, the timing--combined with the employees' reactions when opening the drink--left me with serious concerns about the freshness of their beverages and their food safety practices. I would avoid this place.

They like the atmosphere and they enjoy Jeovanni's services. He is one of the bartenders who has a nice smile, that recommends good food and good drinks.
