Banh mi tofu sandwich. Ordering and getting my order was super fast. You can self service order or at the register. $10.85. The sandwich was packed with marinated tofu, carrots and cilantro. Jalapeños optional. Wish the bread was more crunchy, would have liked more daikon. Cucumber was a little bitter. Watch out for drippings. I made a mess. I would stick with their rolls next time

Tried the lemongrass fish bun (vermicelli bowl) and the chicken fresh spring rolls. Unfortunately even though I was ravenous, the vermicelli bowl did not hit the spot. The fish tasted a touch like fish sticks and I didn't get much lemongrass flavor. The fish sauce was so so and not memorable. The noodles were cold and likely just out of the fridge and it made the whole dish not very fresh seeming. The veggies were okay. The spring roll was just okay. I would not order the same again, not sure I would try again.

Little Vietnam Cafe is a small & cozy noodle soup & Vietnamese banhmi cafe. They share the same space with Koja Kitchen which moved from their spot around the corner that is now occupied by Bettola on Clement. I prefer a hot bowl of pho over their banhmi. Especially sitting outside on a typical SF day. Prices competitive and Service friendly. Located on 6th Ave and Clement.

This is my second time visiting Little Vietnam Cafe and I have to say... it's the perfect cozy spot for those cold city days. Ever since I tried bun rieu at another restaurant, I've had the hardest time finding a Vietnamese place that serves it -- until I stumbled in here. Instant win. Meter parking is all around, but I seem to get the same spot just around the corner, and 30-40 minutes was more than enough time for a quick lunch stop. The food comes out fast and perfectly hot every time. My first visit, I ordered bun rieu + a can coconut drink using the self-order kiosk -- super easy. This time, I ordered in person and met someone who works there. It definitely feels like a warm, family-owned spot that's been part of the neighborhood for years. Because I ordered at the counter, she suggested drinks like Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea -- I went with the Thai iced tea plus my usual coconut can. And WOW... the Thai tea was exactly the midday pick-me-up I needed. I'm already looking forward to coming back for a third visit to try: * Vietnamese iced coffee * Banh mi (I heard so many people ordering it while I was there ) The seating is another plus -- cute outdoor tables and a cozy bar along the window that's perfect for a relaxed lunch break. I love sitting there and just unwinding for a bit with the neighborhood bicycle parking as my view. Overall: quick service, comforting food, and a genuinely welcoming vibe. Definitely becoming one of my go-to lunch spots.

What a cute little café in the area! We stumbled upon this one as we were walking by and ready for lunch. I'm glad we stopped in to check it out. This place is a hybrid between Koja kitchen and a small Vietnamese place. It's a great place to order online from various merchants like Uber eats and GrubHub or swing by and pick up your food, though there is limited seating available for small groups. The service was very friendly and fast and food was delicious ! I wouldn't mind going back to this place if I'm ever in the area for a quick meal.

Food - got the shrimp spring rolls. about $9ish for two rolls. The rolls are pretty long and the veggies inside were SUPER fresh. A little lacking on the protein (felt like majority of it was me chewing greens). Peanut sauce super delicious - not too watery, not too thick; I'd say close to perfect imo. Service - quick and easy. They had a bunch of premade food out and you just grab and checkout. Ambiance - nice, cute little spot. Seating outdoors which was nice on a sunny day. Pretty cozy inside.

Riding our bikes and stopped for a quick bite. Been a while since we last visited Little Vietnam Cafe, which is now shared with Koja Kitchen. Few tables located outdoors. however, note, no bathrooms available. We were directed to use the one at Smart and Final. Hubs ordered a combo sandwich and iced coffee. Hubs noted the bread was crispy, but the sandwich itself lacked flavor. Surprising since it was filled with all the picked veggies and meat.

Very kind host, good bahn mi(chicken was tender n baguette was crunch outside n soft inside.... Perfect). Flavorful thai tea n Vietnamese iced coffee. Hidden gem in neighborhood !! Cute front table n chairs and bar style seating inside. Service was good.

Love the diverse summer roll selection that is freshly prepared and ready to go! Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls)

"IT'S QUE VIET!"…read more No Superman here, but let me be your hero for a second because I'm about to put you on to, hands down, **the best Vietnamese food I've ever had**. I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.
