Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. The lack of meat in the dishes, coupled with the extra service charge (which you can have removed), doesn't exactly provide an aura of success. All that aside, this place is amazing. The rest of the food was great, excellent service, the best old-fashioned in SoCal, and the place is beautifully designed, giving it an incredible ambience.

They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

After hearing great things about Loaded Cafe's food and drinks, I decided to finally give it a try. We were seated right away, which was a good start. I ordered the iced coffee flight (which I was really looking forward to) and my mom got a regular hot coffee. It took a while for our server to come back and take our food order, which wasn't ideal. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes, chorizo and eggs, and a French toast to share. Unfortunately, the food was a bit underwhelming. The chilaquiles were disappointing--no cheese, no sour cream, just chips, salsa, and eggs, with a side of cold beans. The chorizo and eggs were the highlight of the meal--hard to mess that up. The French toast lacked flavor and was slightly undercooked. The biggest letdown was the service. Our server never checked on us after taking our order, and we had to flag down another server (who seemed annoyed) just to get assistance. No refills, no follow-up. Overall, I wanted to love this place, but between the mediocre food and poor service, I left disappointed. Not sure I'd rush back anytime soon. read more

I was a bit skeptical about this place taking some reviews here on yelp, I have paid two visits this passed week and removed my original one to better my whole thought on this place. Originally, my waitress was named Veronica. As for my first visit she made it fantastic and fulfilled all my needs. She's pretty generous and hilarious if you ask me. As for my second visit, I decided to switch up my order and try their waffles. I might be a little strange for being that type of person to visit multiple times but this location brings a homelike feeling. Today I was sat and served by Stephanie. I was interested in getting the supreme combo and I wasn't so sure if I wanted plain pancakes (taking I had waffles in mind). Soon enough ANOTHER great waitress available to make modifications to my order. She suggested to get my desired waffle for a bit extra. As said in my original review, this place is all and all amazing. Service is greatly displayed through all the staff. This is my official Yelp review and I'm officially going to become a regular! I am truck driver and frequently eat at different restaurants almost every day in last 5 days i have been in 10 restaurant in 5 different state i measure food with quality value, portion they serve the coffee was good the 4.99 breakfast was great 2 bacon, pancakes, hash brown, 2 eggs i had break fast the day before in Dennys restaurant and I-Hop the day before these two restaurants the bacon was so thin i could see through the bacon not this place the bacon was so thick i actually could chew on it hash brown was cooked very good brown and crunchy on both side fully cooked on inside without burning the hash brown. the pancake as fully cooked and egg was very good. The server she was quick with coffee and taking care of us, I wished they were in Houston would gone there frequently will visit if we come back to long beach CA. While traveling from Michigan we stayed the night at the motel 6 . My wife and I had several options for dinner and we decided to try loaded cafe next door to our hotel. WOW!!! As soon as we walk in we was greeted by Leslie and Stephanie. They both we very cheerful and Stephanie seated us right away. The attention to the details of our order was unbelievable. Stephanie is a natural. FYI special notice pay attention to these two workers. They both made us feel from the moment we walked into the door that we had made the right choice. Management look for a manager position for these two employees. We have never ate here before but I recommend anyone in the area call first see if Stephanie is working. I was pissed but I dont like saying anything cause I don't want spit in my food not saying they will but if they sit you in the back were no one can see you yeah like I trust this place. I recently visited this location and had a fantastic experience. the food was exceptional and the service was top-notch! The flavors were rich, and the portions were generous. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. However, the one drawback was the surprising $4 credit card transaction fee added onto our bill. While I understand that businesses have expenses, it seems excessive considering banks charge much lower fees per transaction. I find this action very unreasonable. Overall, I would recommend Loaded Cafe for the quality of food and service, but be aware of the additional fee if you plan to pay by card. read more

Just visited Loaded Cafe in Long Beach and had such a great experience! The food was delicious -- I ordered the Machuca torta and chilaquiles, and both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The torta was loaded (pun intended) and super satisfying, and the chilaquiles had the perfect amount of crunch and sauce. Service was on point too -- the staff was friendly and made sure everything was taken care of without being overbearing. Definitely one of those spots where you leave full and happy. It is a great place, very nice customer service and delicious food, you might get the feeling that you are in the wrong place or neighborhood specially if you are visiting L.A "Long Beach" , but once we got seated every thing got changed, all of us me, my wife,my 5 years old boy and 2 years old daughter had a real great time and food. if you really want to compare it to ihop , I will give ihop 2 stars and 5 stars to loaded kitchen. The food here is delicious! If you have a sweet tooth you will love this place. They are very generous with their servings. The service was good as well. My family and I were greeted immediately upon entering and were seated. The server, Stephanie was so sweet and kind. She made us feel welcomed which is very important to me. I really really really wanted to like this place. It's a cute cafe but.. after waiting an hour we were so disappointed. The food did not justify the high prices. The service was neglectful and never checked in on us. Come on.. breakfast is really hard to screw up on but they managed. Over hard eggs were just short of over easy.. the toast came out after 10 more minutes of waiting. We won't be giving lunch or dinner a try sorry. read more

So, stumbled upon this place and it was a total surprise package! The place had a relaxed diner vibe, and the staff and servers were very friendly. The food option was great- traditional Mexican and American. The whole experience was like hanging out with friends and family while munching on some seriously tasty grub. Decided to try Loaded Cafe today to avoid the typical busy restaurants on Mother's Day and was happy I did. Great service, short wait, and delicious food. Definitely try the crepes if you come here. I got an order of crunchy enchiladas and a Jamaica drink. The crunchy enchilada is not you traditional enchilada but most likely Chilaquiles. The Jamaica drink is a little bit too sweet for my taste. Beside those two observations the Conchitas calientes with coffee taste great. I'm giving it 5 starts because the food is more like home made and taste great. read more

I've been to Loaded Cafe a few times now, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are huge -- definitely worth the price. I ordered the steak and eggs and it's full of flavor. The staff was friendly and the service was fast even though the place was packed. This is definitely one of my go-to breakfast spots. This cafe hands down is the best place to eat while your stay in long beach! As soon as you walk in the door you get greeted not only by one staff member but all the staff. They are sooo welcoming. Then I had one mushroom taco, one pork belly taco, and an empanada (I couldn't eat the empanada come out because I was too full from everything else). The pork belly was cooked perfect. Fell apart in my mouth with just a fantastic flavor and texture, and the mushroom tacos were so on point. Not to mention the service here. Veronica was absolutely delightful. She took a lot of pride in their food, and let her talented husband has produced. You absolutely must give Black Pork a try. There are tiny little gem, that's absolutely priceless.

I ordered on DoorDash and was not able to get a refund so beware if you buy a matcha from them. When I called to let them know about the experience they just said "we're sorry about that" like not even trying to make it better lol they really dgaf. You can see in the pic that the color is a dark shade of green, if you like that kind of matcha then I guess try it for yourself to determine if you like that. On a positive note, I also ordered a quesadilla with chorizo and pickled onions and that is very good.

The only downside for me was the chicken -- it seemed like it might have been boiled and then mixed with pesto. It was a bit tougher than I would have liked. The Caesar salad was decent for the price. Unfortunately, the bread pudding didn't work for me. It was very dense and almost brick-like. Overall, the value is there and the staff was very nice. For me personally, the food felt a bit average. I tend to prefer paying a little more for higher quality rather than saving a few dollars on something that doesn't quite hit the mark. Definitely my go to spot for breakfast on Pine Street. The ambiance is still old school. The food on the other hand is still delicious. Fresh and tasty. Big Kudos to this place for not being greedy on their salsa. You can have unlimited salsa if you choose too. Alot of breakfast choices to choose from. Ordered a Mimosa bottle, it did not dissapoint! Our waiter was friendly and professional. His service made our experience worth while. Plenty of seating. Doesn't get crowded for breakfast. A hidden Gem on pine street, downtown Long Beach.
