Come here for lunch for the first time. Ordered a few lunch specials. In addition, my party ordered an Abalone dish. I do not recommend "Wonton Noodle Soup" due to lack of taste. We asked the server for Red Vinegar and Chili Sauce. 15 minutes later the server just took the vinegar away without our consent while we are still eating. The server also took our soup bowls away while we still have the soup of the day on our table.

Just a quick updated review on my latest visit to Lobster Bay... My aunts threw a birthday lunch for one of my uncles. He is one of my Dad's younger brothers. There were about 30+ people so we occupied 3 tables... large, medium, and small tables LOL... not kidding. Each table was instructed to order one dish per person. My table had 11 people, but we ended up getting 13 dishes. I guess we don't follow instructions well when it comes to food LOL. It's all good. It was hard to capture the staff's attention as we were at the far corner table. However, when we did get their attention, they were very receptive and took good care of us. Thank you! All of our 13 dishes were yummy and delicious (check out photos). Flavors were on point! Portions were decent. We got the complimentary lunch soup and white rice which was nice. There was one mix up... for the bittermelon spare ribs, they made it with beef in error... no biggie, we kept the dish as is... it was quite tasty actually. I do have to call out their amazing salt and pepper shrimp as it was the most favorite dish by all counts... SO SO GOOD! There weren't any least favorites really. Everything was fantastic! Dishes were emptied as they arrived shortly to the table LOL. Great job Lobster Bay! I did have one observation... it was during lunch time on a Saturday and there weren't a lot of customers which was quite concerning. They are located within a side street so maybe people don't know they are here. Anyway, hope they do better during dinner time. Anyone reading this, go and support Lobster Bay when you're in the Rowland Heights area! I know we'll be back for sure...

Went here on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn't too busy. We ordered a lot of food but my favorites would have to be the House lobster and the honey walnut shrimp! We didn't have much leftovers but they packed up the leftovers for us. Service was great and the restroom was clean. Prices were very fair. Would definitely come back again!

This is my go to everytime I want my crispy chow mein to go! The two men that always helps me are so kind and super nice! I hate that I can never find parking but they are so nice to let me park in front since it takes me 3 minutes to get and pay for my food.

Reasonable prices for amazing family sized portions; this place is a hole in the wall place with a well experienced crew of waiters that have been around for years. They frequently run sales on their seafood items, making it one of the best places for lobster dishes in the SGV!

A staple spot for family style Chinese food, I have had so many family gatherings here. My favorite dishes are the salt and pepper squid and the fried whole flounder!

Asian food- they provide live fresh seafood, especially the lobster and fish, was incredibly yummy. Each dish was delicious and tasty, making our dining experience truly exceptional. The service was also great. Our server was very nice and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The kids loved the place too, adding to the overall enjoyment of our celebration. If you're looking for a place with fresh seafood and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend Lobster Bay! Free parking. Make reservations before you go.

Celebrated my nephew's birthday with lunch at Lobster Bay. My first time eating here and I was impressed. We arrived about 1pm and there were plenty of tables so we were seated right away. After taking our order we didn't have to wait too long before we were served soup. We asked for ice waters in the beginning but they didn't bring them until after the soup. Just a slight delay. They served a house special soup to start. Different...with red beans in it, but good. Next came the Kung Pao chicken which tasted pretty ordinary. After the tofu in Chiu Chou sauce was served warm. Deep fried tofu covered in a soy type of sauce...it was good! Next came the stir fried string beans with Minced pork. The string beans were crispy and flavorful. We wanted to try the Rice Noodles in Zhong Shan style and really enjoyed thi tasty noodle dish. The last dish served was the House special lobster with noodles. The lobster was cooked in a sauce that was a little spicy but had a really good flavor! You could order the lobster cooked in other ways but we all thought this dish was delicious! The restaurant is decorated more than your typical Chinese restaurant. They even have. Fishing net displayed and hanging at the entrance with "caught" items in it. It's large enough to have a banquet but I'm not sure if they have dividers to make them more private. The food is good and the price is not too expensive so I do recommend giving it a try if you are in the area.

07/08/24 Today would have been my father's 77th birthday. Mom & I celebrated it pretty big at Lobster Bay, but just us. We ordered: *Chicken & Corn Soup *Lobster (deep fried with jalapenos & garlic)*** *Seafood Chow Mein *Rock Cod with Ginger & Chinese Broccoli We didn't say anything about the occasion to John, Ming & Rico as they served us. They were surprised with the amount of food we ordered, but this is how my dad used to order. Order a lot of dishes. Make sure everyone has a taste of everything. Take home what's left/ if anything is left. ***It's Lobster Bay's 10th Anniversary, we got another lobster for free!!! (When you order more than $77)

    Cold peiking duck

We went there for lunch, it was good. Big portion with lunch specials. But dinner was so disappointed. Peiking duck is cold, live fish is expensive but dead. They didn't show you the fish before cooking. Not recommended this place. Cheating and not honest.

-- at Lobster Bay.

My family and I ( 3 of us ) came here for a dinner on boxing day around 6PM. It was quiet, just our table and another table. As time passed by, more customers came and by the time we left around 730PM, there were 5-6 more tables of customers. Maybe its just boxing day so business was slow. This place is clean and server were friendly. At least they don't have the attitude problem you encounter at most asian restaurant. They have a couple private rooms so if you want to book a dinner and have it privately, there are options. Price wise, since this place is more toward the higher end of traditional Chinese restaurant, the range is a little higher but acceptable especially nowadays when everything is pricey. We ordered a lobster which the market price was $27/lb, a seafood soup, a dish of veggie and a dish of egg tofu. Total came out to be $178 without tips. Do I think its worth it? Not really. Not because the food is bad but i can find another place that cost cheaper but better taste or food. They don't have alot dish options as well. At least they don't have something that stands out or other places don't offer. Their food is average / decent and there is nothing I can complain about or wave about. Overall, i would give a C+, a 3.5 if i have the option.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

We were placed in the back room, which felt a little more calm compared to the main dining area. Service was good. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and really on top of things, which made a big difference since it was packed. Ordering is simple, they give you a paper menu where you mark what you want and hand it back. We ordered tea for two and picked a bunch of dim sum: jumbo shrimp har gow, shrimp fried wontons, steamed rice noodle roll with shrimp, baked abalone sauce BBQ pork bun, poached Chinese broccoli, and custard egg tarts. Everything came out fresh and hit the spot. The har gow were plump and juicy, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky, and the BBQ pork buns had that perfect slightly sweet, fluffy texture. The egg tarts were a great finish--warm and flaky. We did end up only getting 5 out of the 6 items we ordered, but honestly we were already pretty full at that point so I didn't feel like making it a big deal. Also... we were so hungry we totally forgot to take pictures of the rest of the food Overall, a good dim sum spot, however I felt like the prices were a bit higher than the other dim some places I usually go to. Anyway, we also noticed the di0m sums are getting smaller. Then, last night we decided to have dinner there. No waiting, and we were seated right away. We ordered chicken and char-siu . To our surprise, when the dish came, the chicken portion was small enough that it's about half the size of what they normally give you. More noticeably the dark meat part. The char-siu had a few few pieces on top, the rest were little bits and pieces underneath it. for $17.99 , that's quite expensive. We could and should have asked to return it like a couple of other tables next to ours did. But they got theirs after us. Needless to say, this will be our last time to go there. I order through the app and pickup later, food is always right and ready at the counter. No problem with that at all. We also dine in there a few times and the food was delicious. They had a promotion of 4 items for dinner. That includes the lobster noodles, salted chicken and 2 stir fry dishes, Service is pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is always busy, people line up for togo orders for the BBQ . Come try their variety of options, if you're craving for BBQ pork and roasted duck!

The dishes no longer have that proper wok hei flavor, and the food tasted bad on my recent visit. What made the experience even worse was the service. The staff were rude, dismissive, and acted annoyed that customers were even there. One of the girls, the one with the ponytail, was especially rude and needs to learn basic manners. Another staff member was also unfriendly and gave attitude the entire time. I also did not appreciate being pressured about tipping. A tip should be optional and based on good service. If the service is poor, customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or confronted over it. On top of that, they add extra charges when using a credit card, including a fee if you spend under $30. That already feels frustrating, but the bigger issue is the attitude and poor treatment from staff. Customers are the reason businesses stay open. No one is asking to be treated like royalty, but people come in to enjoy a meal and should at least be treated with basic respect. If I am going to be ignored, rushed, and given attitude, I would rather stay home and eat in front of my TV. I will not be coming back .. food quality and customer service Nate major improve.
