My family went to Prince Dumplings for dinner and, on our way out, saw this truck parked next to the parking lot. I actually had this place saved in my collection but didn't pay attention to its location, so we decided to buy something there and eat it the next day. We ordered the lobster roll and lobster bisque, and checked-in on yelp to get free shrimp chips, there was only 1 woman in the truck handling orders and cooking, but nobody was in line at the time so we got our food within a reasonable time. Even though we had it the next day for breakfast, both were yummy, the bread of the roll was buttery soft with a nice flavor, but the bisque was slightly too salty in our opinion. I don't usually write too many reviews but this was really good. The lobster roll gets an A+ from me! It came with a ton of lobster and the bread was buttery and fluffy. The tofu pudding was surprisingly really good as well and was a great palette cleanser after a heavy meal. It came with a ginger syrup that you pour on top and was super soft and not too sweet. The truck was very easy to spot as it has LED lights outlining it. It's located next to the parking lot across from the Rosemead Library, so it's convenient to park and the area is well lit. Their product pictures make it look like there is a ton of lobster meat on it but it's an illusion. The lobster is just stacked on top of the rolls instead of in between them. FYI: they don't use a bun just 3 connected rolls similar in size and shape to Kings Hawaiian Rolls. They claim the buns and butter are warmed, but the lobster is chilled which defeats the purpose. It was served cold btw, which I don't have an issue with but I know some people might. The grilled split-top bun seemed a bit dense, not as fluffy as I was expecting, but maybe this is due to the brief travel time before eating (around 5 mins). The combo came with giant shrimp chips sprinkled with nori komi furikake, a nice unorthodox choice for a side. The tofu fa was delicious! Super smooth and creamy texture. I got the Lobster Roll combo, which came with the Lobster Roll, Fries, Tofu Pudding, and a drink. The meal was super delicious. There was a good portion of Lobster, and it was well seasoned. The truffle was not overpowering, which was perfect. I absolutely loved it immensely. The fries were decent too. It was the thick cuts, so it was neither soft nor crunchy. I typically prefer thinner and crunchier fries but it was very well seasoned, which made up for it. I unconsciously finished the fries before I got to the Lobster Roll because the flavor was so good, haha. The Tofu pudding came with ginger-sugar syrup and it was also excellent. The Tofu pudding was softer and the syrup was less sweet than the ginger syrup Tofu pudding I typically get at the Asian markets or Vietnamese Tofu pudding specialty stores but that's not a bad thing. It was still I highly recommend checking this food truck out if you love Lobster rolls! read more
