I visited Local Kitchens in Cupertino because of the Yelp Elite event and had a great experience. First and foremost, I love the concept! Super seamless ordering experience given there are a bunch of different places to choose from. Based on how many options there were, it was super tough to choose but ended up going with Wise Son's and got the Bodega Bagel Sandwich (+ avocado) and Potato Latke's. The food was ok. I was a little surprised that the bagel wasn't toasted (maybe that's an option in the future?) and the avocado seemed like it had been sitting there for a while but the eggs were perfect and the garlic aioli sauce was chefs kiss. The Potato Latke's were good... but nothing special. Definitely interesting taste with the apple sauce to dip them in! Overall I thought wise sons was ok, good if you're looking for something different than your typical joint. The ones that stood out to me were senor sisig & humphry slocombe. Local kitchens would be a good option for people who want to order from multiple places but pick up everything at once, or for finding options for a group with dietary restrictions. I was having difficulty deciding (surprise surprise) on a place for my bday lunch, and found Local Kitchens on Yelp. It's kinda perfect for indecisive people like me! There's a little bit of everything, all the best dishes from those trendy restaurants you hear so much about but without the crazy lines and you can order from more than one place at once! Magical! Once we entered, the wonderful woman at the front saw that we were holding a bday cake and offered to put it away in the cooler for us. That was so nice! She gave us a quick rundown of how ordering works since it was our first time there. You order on tablets off to the side. I was disappointed that they didn't have the fried chicken sandwich everyone was raving about, but we ended up getting some other yums (Senor Sisig burrito - always a winner, Sushirrito, a huge Mediterranean plate, rice bowls from Curry Up Now). Everything was pretty good, and I was shocked (and impressed) that they prepare all of that food in one kitchen! I would take one star away for lack of seating. For some reason, I thought this place would be bigger but it's really just a few small tables. I gave one star back for the awesome service. I remember they sent an email out asking what kind of restaurant folks wanted next, and I was super enthusiastic for Sushirrito! Super, super happy to see they implemented it. Favorite restaurants here are SAJJ (great portions and felt healthy to eat) and now Sushirrito. Please bring in some tempura battered deep-fried rolls and you'll be really killing it! One of my favorite places to pick up food. Perfect for indecisive people or a group that can't agree on one type of cuisine. The location is super convenient, just off of 85 and on Steven's creek, maybe a 2 min detour, not hard to get to at all. The staff is super friendly every time I come in and I feel treated like I'm more than just another order. The app is great and tracks your order, and the dining area is kept neat and clean. Parking looks limited at first, but I've never had a problem finding a spot. While the food is tasty, I wouldn't say it's super special, although there are some unique offerings. Some items seem a bit overpriced but then I remember I live in the Bay Area. There's also a rewards program through the app, which is easy to earn points and redeem discounts through. read more

I loved the offerings here and that the staff wore masks to protect customers. They no longer do so and that means immunocompromised people (like cancer patients) can't trust their food anymore. We actually meant to go to the place next door but stumbled on this place first. So glad we did. My husband got the mushroom Detroit pizza which had great flavor in the cheese and crust. The mushrooms didn't have a lot of flavor but I bet the pepperoni one would have been amazing. I had the Mortadella sandwhich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have had! I came here to get Sajj on a Friday evening and the pickup and ordering process was seamless. We were even offered some free ice cream for reasons I am unaware of, but we were very happy. The location is unassuming and has a lot of parking. There isn't much seating, though. So don't expect to come here with your crew and expect to have a table and seat for everyone. This concept is perfect for picking up some good food and eating elsewhere if you can. Being from the East Bay, I selfishly look forward to when they start expanding in this direction so I can get access to these restaurants under the Local Kitchens umbrella, since this side of the bay generally don't have these spots. read more

You also have one kitchen staff making all the different restaurant menu items in one location, Hint: (Probably why there are three different types of burritos you can get). Business Concept is great 5/5, however, the food I got was subpar/bad and inconsistent with other people's review. I went to Senor Sisig and got the Tosilog Burrito and Sisig fries. My friend ordered from Curry up Now and I tried their Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl. Ordering the food: Great interface, you can scroll through all the photos to get an idea of what you want. However, when ordering you will read the description and like that's great. When adding the order, they nickle and dime you on EVERYTHING. · ex. Senor Sisig Burrito, "Your choice of pork, chicken, or tofu ..." and go to the next option where you have to pay more for any different meat options. Seems pretty silly when the burrito is already $10.75. · ex. Tosilog Burrito, "Filipino sweet pork, adobo garlic rice, fresh tomatoes, and a fried egg. served with an optional side of peppered vinegar.". This Burrito came with the pork with the order, however, did not come with a fried egg and you had to pay more money to add an egg. Food: · The Tosilog Burrito $11.75 - Tastes just like a burrito, nothing special about this. The pork was sweet; vinegar adds an interesting touch but it was just a normal burrito. Maybe because there wasn't egg in the burrito. For the price, my expectations were pretty high. · Sisig Fries $11.75 - How is the portion size of these fries and toppings worth the same price of a burrito. The fries were alright and portion size was small, can't comprehend the idea behind this. · Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl $13 - Tastes just like Chicken Tikka Masala. The portion size was wack, I've seen other reviews where there was 70% curry and 30% rice. The Chicken Tikka Masala my friend got, complete opposite, 30% curry and 70% rice. Practically ate half the bowl and unfortunately had to toss the rest because there was nothing to combine the rice. The curry was mediocre at best, nothing special and homely compared to the highest reviewed curry places in the south bay. I will probably go back to check out other kitchens at Local Kitchen but TLDR: unfortunately I cannot recommend Señor Sisig. read more

This is the best place ever! My boyfriend and I went here because we both wanted different cuisines for dinner. I got the amazing Mediterranean food from Sajj. Had a chicken salad bowl and loaded it up, even added some extra falafel which I highly recommend doing. My bf got Asian box and had 'the workout' which he devoured. Service was too notch with a friendly greeter that also helped some people with ordering and recommendations. Food was quick too despite it seeming like a busy night for them. So it was fantastic to be able to order a different variety of foods to cater to all tastebuds for lunch today and not have to run to different places or order it separately. We ordered the matzo ball soup from Wise Sons - the soup was really good and the matzo ball - gigantic in size but it was nice and fluffy. Pieces of chicken and nicely cooked carrots and dill completed the soup. The fried chicken entree from Proposition Chicken was incredibly good. The chicken skin was shatteringly crispy - not greasy and the side of the tomato cucumber salad was a really good side. The entree comes with three pieces - half of a breast, one thigh and one leg. I usually don't eat everything but the chicken was incredibly good, I really enjoyed it and inhaled all of it. Don't worry, I'll be heading back to order it again now that I know where this place has been hiding. My husband ordered the steak shawarma bowl from Sajj with extra steak. It was a very large size and he liked it and couldn't finish it. We also ordered the side of falafels - these were nicely cooked - crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Lots of leftovers for snacking later on tonight. The hummus that came with the order was really good. Last thing we ordered was the tosilog burrito from Senor Sisig for the kid. We've had the food from the Senor Sisig truck in San Francisco and were really stoked to be able to get it from the Local Kitchens venue. Of course, we had to add the egg to it to make it well worth the bite. He ate it very quickly and enjoyed it immensely. We ordered Humphry Slocombe ice cream - Secret Breakfast and Honey Graham. Not able to even crack it open to have a spoonful as we are all bulging from gorging on lunch today. No worries, when things settle down, I'm going to have a spoonful. Decided to check out the new Local Kitchen location in Cupertino... it was clean, well-lit, and the employees were very nice. I placed my order online and was sent a text message throughout the order so I could time my pick up without having to have the food wait and get cold. My order was ready just as I was pulling up. I received my food easily and with no issues. We ordered from "The Melt" and the Patty Melt was well cooked and very tasty, the caramelized onions were flavorful and the cheese was melted as it should be. If there is any critique about the meal, I would have preferred the bread just a bit more toasted, but overall it was a very good experience. We will definitely visit again. read more

My all time favorite is Senor Sisig and tonight my brother in law ordered from Proposition Chicken and enjoyed his fried chicken plate. The customer service is hands down fab, the staff is friendly and they sure know how to put their customers first. I had an issue with placing my order online one day and the staff on duty that day, Zach and Roxanne took care of me. They contacted customer care where Micah reached out via email and was able to resolve my issue within 24 hours. They were very understanding of my situation and went above and beyond to get things resolved in a timely manner!
