There were 5 adults in our party, 3 of the steaks ordered were so over cooked they tasted burnt. When we turned them over it was apparent why...they were black and we had ordered medium. Steaks were sent back and they were still not right. We had a good waitress and we knew it wasn't her fault so she was still tipped well. I don't think we will be returning. read more

I've been to this particular steakhouse about four or five times. The food is usually good, not great but, good. The reasons I rate this restaurant only two stars are ; The service is terrible. I always ask for water to be refilled and never get it until the bill arrives. Never have I had a server ask if my steak was properly cooked. On one of our visits, part of the order never arrived. The management is often difficult to identify. Only once did a manager ask if all was good. We told that the silverware was dirty and he brought us another set....dirty The third reason for a low score is... you guessed it, dirty silverware. Each and every visit. Check out the photo attached. The plate and fork still has food on it and notice the knife. That is just disgusting. Bottom line here is that management does not care so the staff doesn't care. If the dishes are dirty then one would assume that the kitchen is also dirty. The food may taste good but, it's just not worth getting sick. read more

Went there last night 12/16/20 for a family get together and holiday meal . The waitress was spread to thin to handle all the tables she had . There was no asking if everything was ok . I ordered the TBone and there was no bone . Def was not a tbone @25.99 I ordered med was more rare . Asked if bartender could make some holiday shots and was told no . Only standard shots . A total disappointment this trip. As we walked in, a young lady went in before we did. Come to find out she eventually was our waitress, Brianna. The place was not busy so we got to seat relatively quick. Once seated, we waited for about 15 minutes until a waitress, not Brianna, took our drink and food order. Then explained that Brianna was in with the manager. The other waitress brought our drinks and bread. The food didn't take long and it was delivered by Brianna. She hardly checked on us and didn't ask if we wanted more tea which I ran out. When finished, we sat another 15 minutes before we even got the check. I even tried to contact the manager but he wasn't around. There are 2 other steak houses in Dover, keep this up and this Longhorn will end up.like the one that here before, closed and out of business. read more

My husband I went to LongHorn for a late lunch/early dinner today. At that time there were very few patrons in the restaurant. I had ordered a mango margarita. It was brought out in a shaker... no salt on the rim and it was a regular margarita. I don't like to complain, so I drank it. I had ordered a well done steak and I could tell it was not well done even before I cut into it. I cut into it and it was basically rare so I sent it back and waited, and waited and waited some more. By the time if finally came back, my husband was done with his meal (chicken) I decided I still wanted a mango margarita so I ordered one and pointed out to the server that the first one was not mango, as I had ordered. I didn't receive an apology, she just said ok and walked away. Then I sat and waited, and waited and waited some more. It was at least 15 minutes by the time I got the mango margarita. With the cost of everything going up and my husband and I being retirees on a limited budget, we don't go out to eat often. I was very disappointed by today's experience. I don't ever leave restaurant reviews but our experience today was unacceptable. I'm not sure if it was the server, the cook or the bartender or all combined that contributed to the situation but I don't think we'll be going back. read more

I was trying to avoid fireworks and anything 4th related, and a lot of local restaurants were closed for the holiday, so I sort of reluctantly went to Longhorn as a last resort. I wasn't 100% sure of my decision when I first walked in and was automatically directed to the bar since I was by myself, but when I said I preferred a regular table I was given a booth with no issue. Carly was quick with my service, made some great recommendations on food and specials, and was super-friendly. The food was cooked perfectly, and the drink was cold. Went for dinner at Dover location for the first time. Ordered a miller lite. Waited 15 mins for a beer. Waitress appeared embarrassed and came back and apologized 3 times. I looked at the bar with two customers and politely told out waitress that her or I could just walk up and pour it ourselves. She stated she wished. Other than that the steaks came out perfectly! Drive on past. I go to the one in Fredrick Md and have had great experiences. The one in Dover always disappoints. Staff not friendly, food never right, cold and not cooked right. Having dinner - Sirloin steak and shrimp with a salad and Sam Adams seasonal. My wife is having red rock shrimp with rice and asparagus with a salad. Our waitress, Delray, was simply magnificent - she was professional, attentive to our needs, came back to check on us 4 or 5 times during dinner. Unfortunately, I have to give this place one star by default. I've come here several times, and for some reason, I keep trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. This place is by far the worst managed restaurant I have ever been in, and the service by the regular bartender is atrocious. I have no idea how this guy keeps his job. Oh wait, I do know... it's the terrible management team that fails to motive this bartender into delivering excellent service. The management seems to condone poor service and refuses to train this bartender. I literally ate a quarter of my side salad with my fingers before I had to say something to a manager that passed by. The manager went and got some silverware yet fail to offer an apology or any form of remorse in quality of service, and almost immediately after, the main course was brought out. I had to finish my side salad while my $25+ steak is sitting there getting cold. Again, management training this bartender could have prevented this. It's unfortunate as the steaks are pretty good, but the absolute lack of service from the bartender and the piss poor management makes this place somewhere to avoid at all costs. I highly doubt I'll return and if I do and see that bartender at the bar, I will turn around and walk out. It's regrettable that the management team here has failed this bartender, and there is no doubt this restaurant is losing business because of it. read more

This location is extremely unorganized. The covid protocols that they have in place are inefficient. Management told me in order to secure two tables for my grandmothers birthday dinner I had to call one hour in advance. I called two hours ahead of time and had my name added to a list. I showed up and was told I still needed to wait an additional 15minutes. That 15 minutes turned into an hour plus wait. This has to be the worst run restaurant EVER! When we arrived we were asked to wait due to the shift change. As we waited two other couples were seated and the hostess had no clue what she was doing. I spoke to the manger he apologized but still were served last. Our server Toussain was great but the kitchen was SUPER Slow. I have been here SEVERAL times and they have all been excellent!! The flavor of the steaks are like no other. For sides, I've had the Caesar Salad, sweet potato, baked potato, mashed potatoes, asparagus, broccoli and bread sides and they have all been perfect! We had a person go in earlier than the rest of the group and he was told we would have a twenty minute wait, now mind you the restaurant was empty. After thirty minutes we were then told it would be another twenty five minutes because they didn't want to back up the kitchen. waiter served half our group before going to another table for a solid 20 minutes before even bringing us our bread, note the other half of our group had already gotten their bread. he then served the other people (not from our group) their food before even bringing us our bread. we then spent another 15 minutes waiting for him to even check on us to ask for refills to no hope. i then got up grabbed the pitcher and refilled my family's drinks myself. another 10 minutes he brings us our salads. my dads had no cheese, so he asked for cheese. 20 minutes to by and my dad makes the comment "they done making the cheese" he then turns around and 5 minutes later comes out with the small cheese cup. he also brought my dad his food with the cheese. which in response made my dad let his food go cold so he could finish his salad before the croutons became any more soggier than they already were from the dressing. the waiter then joked saying to my aunt "it'd suck if this barbecue got on your white jacket" while giving my pop pop his barbecue. the restaurant itself was good just terrible service from the waiters end. we aren't even done yet and that's all that's happened so far. First time in the place being as though it's new. The initial hostess seemed a little disgruntled but we did not let that bother us. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the NY Strip steak med well and it was very flavorful and juicy. The mashed potatoes side was creamy and delicious as well.
