2nd time here, and no change. Our party was seated promptly but we were still missing some people, took the waitress 15 mins to check on us. The restaurant only had 5 other tables. After we ordered, there was another 20mins before our salads even came out. One person ordered the baked potato soup- which to longhorn is just serving mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon on top. I ordered a sirloin cooked medium. It was cooked correctly but boy was it dry. We were more than half way done before the waitress came out to see if we enjoyed our food. What is it about restaurants in The Woodlands? They are never representative of what their brand is out to offer. I lived in Statesboro, Georgia for 3 years and Longhorn was one of my favorite restaurants. Service was slow, but accurate. They were out of a few things, but had recommendations to fill in the blanks. I have a feeling there was a staffing issue either on the floor or in the kitchen or both. Everything from the appitizers to the steaks just didn't taste right. I know my steak wasn't seasoned and the rest of my party had similar comments. Wow what can I say!! This place was GREAT.Our steaks were mouthwatering and made to perfection.We came on a Friday around 6pm and only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table and about another 15 minutes for our food.My wife had the outlaw ribeye(22oz) and I had the T-bone(22oz) they came the exact way we ordered...hats off to the chef,we have been to other steak houses but this place was by far best we've had so far.I highly recommend this place,we will be back again.The manager Bill was very courteous and attentive,our waitress Charisma was very polite and friendly she took care of all of our needs,our alcoholic drinks even came fast which doesn't happen very often at other establishments.Very great experience read more

It was a date night for us, I wanted to try longhorn instead of our usual steak place. The staff was very friendly. The food was tasty but wasn't anything to write home about. I got the filet med rare, it was cooked correctly. Although the entire plate was full of juice and oil. It didn't bother me, but I would think some people wouldn't want their steak to come out swimming on the plate. My husband got the porterhouse, cooked correctly and he liked it. The green beans were crispy and very good. Our waiter was good, but it took her over 10 minutes to greet us, and it was 8pm on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy. Superb Curbside Takeout! I ordered a Valentine's dinner and Longhorn came through with flying colors. These guys have a very efficient process for curbside takeout that is well thought out and well executed. The website is easy to navigate and they follow-up with a text with clear instructions for picking up my order. Upon arrival, I pulled into one of the well-marked spaces, pressed the button on the text they sent me 10 minutes prior to my scheduled pick-up time, and I had my order within about 2 minutes. My order was complete (including that delicious bread!) and the food was hot. Our steaks were cooked precisely as we specified and everything was outstanding. After several very frustrating experiences with another steak house with horrific, curbside service (I won't mention Salt Grass by name), it was refreshing to find a restaurant so well managed. read more

I stopped by over a month ago and its still on my mind of how bad my night was. I did come on a Friday night and it was very busy - I was thinking it must be a great place right? Not at all. I sat at the bar to eat. Very busy 45 min wait is what I was hearing from others for a table so the bar was fine for me. I was not greeted after 10 minutes bar staff just kept walking by me never offered a drink. I dont know why I stayed. I ordered the NY strip $19.food took 30 min yes 30 min! Food was ok I guess what can you do to a 19$ steak? Salad never came out. refill on tea was rare and I was at the bar! I used to be a waiter / bartender and this is unacceptable but I was never rude or demanding just disappointed! Actually people around at bar was asking me if I got my food yet they notice that the wait for my food was too long! The bartender recognized the poor service and gave my 50% off bill. I took my 80 year old Meme here for the first time today. The atmosphere was super quite and calm when we arrived. A loud group of young people came in and were obnoxious. We usually get great service but were disappointed our last visit. We were there for about 20 minutes before we got our drinks, 25 minutes before we got our bread and an hour before we got our meals. It seemed that our waitress was trying to take care of 3 tables at once and couldn't handle it. She forgot my daughters drink and it was another 10 minutes before she brought it out. Things seemed to have gotten much better once our food arrived. The food was delicious (as usual) and the overall experience was ok. I would have given a higher rating if we didn't have to wait so long. You can probably tell by now that I am a stickler for promptness. Ha ha. If you ever decide to give Longhorn Steakhouse a try I recommend the one in Sring, TX. I've been to 4 locations in Texas, to include in San Antonio, and the Spring location is my favorite. read more

Not sure what to say. The wait was bad. The hostess had no clue how to run her station. People were jammed in the lobby but there were uncleared tables that should have been cleaned and people seated. The placed is VERY noisy. Waitress was slow and needs a lot more training. Salads came out and within one minutes so did our steaks. I will say the food was hot and not bad. During our meal we had at least two children scream multiple times. I would have never been allowed to act up in public like some parents allow their children to do these days. But that is a whole different story. It was then time for our desert. It came out but we had no silverware (spoons) to eat it with. The waitress disappeared for about 10 minutes to get two spoons. When she did come out with them... She had her thumb holding down the bowl end. She really needs to be trained better. Needless to say the dessert was melted and not very good at that point. Total time from when we sat down till the time we left was almost two hours. No wonder they are packed and it did not seem to move faster than a snails pace. The manager did stop by and we did let her know our concerns. She apologized and offered a gift card for our next visit. We will give it one more try but service will have to get considerably better or we will not be back. read more

This was my first time at a LongHorn! Amazing service. We were greeted by the manager, and sat down with a really nice and attentive waitress. Food was flavorful and seasoned perfectly. My kids (who rarely finish their food) even ate their full plates! We came for my husbands birthday and they respected his wish of being discrete. His birthday dessert was amazing and shareable for the 4 of us. Wish I was local to be able to enjoy this location more often! This will definitely be a stop on our next trip to the area. read more

We have never been to Longhorn before so when our anniversary came along we decided to give it a try Friday night. I'm really glad we discovered this place. Everything was perfect. Our server (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was extremely accommodating and friendly. I had the New York strip, my wife had the prime rib. Everything was cooked exactly the way we asked for it and the seasoning on the meat was great. Everything melted in our mouth and I was very surprised at the large cuts and portions of everything. We had a coupon for a free appetizer we received when we signed up for the club newsletter so we had the mushrooms. Delicious. Even the house salad was fresh and flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and we weren't rushed in and out like other places. We were pleasantly surprised when our server brought out an ice cream sundae with our names and anniversary written out in raspberry sauce on the plate (see photo). And she took our photo and furnished us with a really nice card to commemorate our dinner. This is definitely our "go to" place for steaks from now on. I love this place! read more

For all the bad reviews they obviously didn't have Koo. Koo was our server and he took very good care of us. This was our first time here and we came to celebrate our anniversary. He guided us the whole way and he had such an energetic and welcoming attitude. We live 45 minutes out but we will definitely be coming again for the great service and delicious dinner, thank you Koo and thank you to the host/hostess for the wonderful hospitality on the infamous Friday night crowds. read more

We went here a couple of days ago to give it another try. My wife and I split the prime ribeye. It was outstanding. It was cooked perfectly, tender, and well seasoned. We were a group of 16, Sunday morning, 11:00 am. Upon our arrival, our Sunday School class was told by the manager that we would have to wait for a table as he didn't have waiters for us. NO. WAITERS on Sunday morning? We sat there about 40 minutes, asked the manager for lunch menu instead of dinner menus. We were there, after all, for LUNCH! Manager got the menus and took them to the table, saying some of the items on that menu weren't available. We were assigned two waiters, they took our drink orders. Waited at least 15 minutes for water, tea, etc. Bread was delivered. finally ordered and waited quite a while longer for it to arrive. The food, as always, was excellent....no complaints there at all. I overheard several friends at the table complain about the very slow service and the managers poor disposition. We then waited at least 20 more minutes for out bill to arrive. A few of them were right, several were wrong. We had to wait even longer for that to get straightened out, all the while seeing our waiter in the kitchen tending to food items for other tables. We arrived at 11 am, left there at 1:45 pm....almost three hours for lunch...My whole point in this review is to say this isn't the first time we have visited this restaurant and have experienced questionable behavior from this manager. Sunday morning, no waiters and a manager with an attitude has caused us to take our weekly group elsewhere in the future. Several hundred dollars lost to Longhorn on a regular basis ....get yourself a better manager.... read more

Since then we have gone in and service has just been ok. However we went in today 6/24/17 and got Rebekah for our waitress. She was awesome and her customer service was excellent. My boyfriend and I went here for date night, and we're excited. We were greeted and sat quickly (even though the host was cleaning tables). Our server, Laural greeted us quickly and asked for our drink order and we got an app. The drinks were good, she even asked how my boyfriend's drink was cause it was the first time she had made it. We order the parmesan crusted asparagus app. It was very good. That's when it all when downhill. Instead of a side, I upcharged to a cup of French onion soup. Normally the bread would be on top to stop the bread from getting soggy but instead it was like having small croutons that were just wet and mushy, gross, underneath with the onions and broth. I ordered the T-bone medium rare, it was really good, perfectly cooked, a little blue rare towards the bone but good. On the other hand, my boyfriend ordered the Ribeye and it was nothing but fat and gristle. More than half of his steak. For a 12oz! Ridiculous! It also took our server, Laural, 15 to 20 minutes to come back and check on our food so it was too late to complain. Then another 10 minutes to return with my second drink. A group of servers were off the clock, hanging out by the bathrooms eating and our server was over there talking and just hanging out. My boyfriend also saw the hostess on her phone a lot at the host stand. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables, so it wasn't crazy. But the amount of time it took to get something plus my boyfriend's steak, we might consider coming back, trying another steak instead of the ribeye since my T-bone was good. But the servers need to be more attentive to their tables. read more

I'll just say it, I'm a fan of LongHorn Steakhouse. I've dined here multiple times and it's always good. Recently, we tried out this location to celebrate a birthday and from the food to the service, it did not disappoint. Since it was a weeknight that we stopped in and traffic was horrible getting here, we met our party about 25minutes later than our scheduled time, but everyone was very accommodating. When we finally got to the table, everyone was about to order their food but the awesome waitress, I wanna say Amanda? She was awesome and took everyone's order but came back a few minutes later after we rushed to look over the menu. I decided to go with the Napa Grilled Chicken with artichoke hearts and roasted tomatoes, it was deeeelish!!!! Their creamy mashed potatoes hit the spot along with their house salad. Also, I thought it was very considerate that they brought out everyone's order at the same time, despite that me and the bf ordered minutes after everyone else, but at the same time, we did not have to wait long for our meals. Win. At the end of the meal, our nice waitress let my sister secretly order their caramel apple gold rush dessert for her husband, the birthday boy ,and we ordered a couple of the chocolate stampede cakes for the rest of the table. If you're a fan of chocolate on chocolate with vanilla ice cream, you'll love it! Service was excellent, and although our table talked so much that it was closing time, (even though I hate to be those people) no one was rude. They made the birthday evening a success :) If you live in the Spring/Woodlands area, this is a good location to visit. We had been to another location about a year ago, when they were giving away free meals for their grand opening. The food was excellent and so was the service. I didn't think a review was in order, since they were putting their best foot forward for a specific reason. I think I may have slipped on that one. We went to this location on a whim for a birthday. Before we left I joined their eclub that provided us with a coupon for a free appetizer. We ordered a sharable starter that consisted of firecracker chicken wraps on a bed of lettuce and tomato, which were okay; wild west shrimp that were great; and and grilled white cheddar stuffed mushrooms, which had a wonderful flavor. The two dipping sauces were ranch and a creamy avocado that was nice. My sister had a margarita that she really liked and I had the peach flavored sweet tea. You wouldn't think that tea would be mentioned in a Yelp review, but here it is; FANTASTIC FLAVOR!! Although the waiter was a gem, we were the only two people in the restaurant, and the service was a bit disjointed at first. The server (or whatever the issue was) rallied, and then everything went smooth as silk from then on out. I wished I had gotten his name, to let the restaurant know how good he was. The table bread and butter was nothing special. The mixed green salads were quite large. We both had very tasty vinaigrette sauces (mine raspberry). We decided to try two of their specials. My sis got the Texas 3-chili pepper steak: a ribeye topped with a pepper sauce and onion straws and a baked sweet potato with cinnamon sugar. I decided on the Kansas City BBQ sirloin: a sirloin topped with a warm bourbon BBQ sauce and candied bacon with a loaded baked potato. I'm glad I asked for the BBQ sauce on the side, as it was extremely sweet, but it still had a nice flavor. Now, for the one thing that will make steak lovers everywhere cringe - we asked for them both well done. And boy, did they deliver! Tender, moist, tasty...one of the best steaks either of us have had in a long time! It's hard to get a well done steak that hasn't been turned into beef jerky. We were both immensely impressed. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water! They even made her free birthday dessert look fancy. It was a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We went to this location with a large group of family members for my husband's birthday celebration last weekend. The server we had was very friendly and attentive. We came for the first time this evening, around 5pm. The place was 3/4 empty, but we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. From that point on things were great. The decor is warm and inviting, lots of Texas, and western style paintings and art. Even when the place filled up as we were finishing our meal, the noise level stayed low, and conversation was always possible without yelling. Our server was pleasant and very attentive. Drinks and bread out quickly. Once ordered, our salads came out promptly, and we had time to finish them before the entrees arrived. Our meals were very good. My wife had a small sirloin and I had the Rancher's Sirloin, which is topped with bacon & a fried egg. Our steaks were cooked as ordered, and were both tender and seasoned perfectly. Baked potatoes were good sized, not huge. This is a chain franchise, so don't expect Ruth's Chris type quality, but in my opinion it beats Saltgrass on taste and price. However the menu choices are not as varied. This place is on my list to come back to, as there are several things on the menu and a few starters I'd like to try. My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at LongHorn Steakhouse in the Woodlands. We were greeted at the door by the manager, and seated immediately by the friendly hostess. Our waitress was amazing. She went over the menu with us and asked if we had been there before, and when we said no, she immediately told us that the steaks are very well seasoned, and wanted to know if that was ok. My husband was fine with it, but I like mine not so seasoned. Husband had the surf and turf and I had the LongHorn Porterhouse. The entire meal was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress checked on us just the right amount of times and when we told her we were celebrating she offered us a free dessert, but we were way too full, so she gave us a certificate for a free dessert on our next visit. The chef, wait staff and manager are wonderful at this location. Definitely going back real soon. Thanks for making our annviersary dinner so special. read more
