We called ahead to see if they could put us on the waiting list since we were on our way there. We were 14 people I know but we always go to different places every Sunday and we have been here before but the person that answer the phone told me that he will called the manager and see what he could do. But the manager since he answered was rude, he said he could have us, so I told him that we could get 2 tables to sit us 8 and 8 and he said "No, Can't sit you here" he never apologize or anything, he was with an attitude. First time we visited. This was during Covid time, so place was properly prepped for social distancing. About 7-8 tables were taken. Staff was friendly gave drinks and took our order. We ordered ribs, Flo with shrimp combo and Flo with grilled mushrooms. When the food arrived the mushrooms and the shrimp were missing and notified staff. We waited a little but did not wanted our food to get too cold so started eating slowly. Then the mushrooms arrived, but still no sign of the shrimp. We had pretty much 75% of the steak done when we were given the shrimp. This was somewhat disappointing. We ended with a desert. Upon checkout, we were given a coupon for a complementary desert or appetizer for the next time. I believe the correct course of action should have been to consider comping us at this time rather than a possible next time. Quality of the food was good. read more

The host and server where amazing and attentive. Their customer service skills where 100% I had just came from salt grass in Shenandoah where I waited to be seated for 12 minutes and no one came up to me and my family. That was such a disheartening experience. When I walked into longhorn I was greeted by a smile and he made me fell welcome. He seated my family of 5 in the big both because he saw my daughter was asleep. He made sure everything was cleaned and wiped down. Our server was equally amazing. Thank's to a fellow YELPER for informing me that Olive Garden Gift Cards can be used at Longhorn Steakhouse. We don't have the two other restaurants on the card with multiple option. I was pleased to find this out, because truthfully I don't know how we will get through so many Olive Garden cards. We came in a few weeks back and I got Chicken Fried Chicken, with loaded Baked Potato and House salad. When my plate arrived I thought to myself; are they kidding me? The TWO pieces of Chicken Fried Chicken were huge. I immediately moved half of my CFC and baked potato to another plate. I have to say I am not a fan of CFSteak or Chicken, but this was actually really good. Potato was hot and delicious, salad fresh. My husband had a Ribeye and he likes his Medium, but I have always said in a place like this ask for it undercooked a bit. He did, was pleased and again, his Sweet Potato was delicious. He ate everything on his plate, while had an entire meal and a half leftover. It was the day after New Year's when we went and they were busy, but still had tables empty. I was surprized as were others waiting for tables that we had to wait aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Perhaps, staff didn't show up that day. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but we love Longhorn Steakhouse. It's a great place for families to have a nice meal in a more upscale environment. They have a great kids selection, including a child's size steak, and pretty yummy food. There are many option for steaks. In fact, they have more options than any other steak house I have been to before. If your not in the mood for steak I recommend trying the Napa chicken or the Rock shrimp. read more

We originally went to Saltgrass up the road, but no one (5 staffs saw us) came up to seat us not even to greet us so we left. We were actually glad things happened the way it did, because it brought us to Longhorn steakhouse in The Woodlands. It was already 9pm when we got there, the host Alberto greeted us and guided us to whichever table of our choice. We needed a long booth due to my toddler niece was asleep. Alberto had noticed the area wasnt quite clean,so went out of his way, got under the table to pick out possibly food dropped on the floor previously to make sure the area was nice & clean. His great customer service at a young age touched our hearts. Most young kids or anyone in the food business don't really care for the job anymore and their attitudes and actions show it. We then were served by Jeremy, he was someone that really knew the menu well and suggested great appetizers and the type of steaks to suit our individual tastes. Food were excellent and very tasty. These two staffs had really made our night with their professional customer service skills. Our family has been in restaurant business for over 20+ years, these two staffs are definitely good to keep for the business. I had the best waitress in the state of Texas on the north side named Meagan she was truly a sweetheart to me and my family! Longhorn Steakhouse has never been my favorite place. After trying a few franchises throughout Houston I left feeling over charged and under satisfied. This night however, I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give the woodlands location a try. I ordered the Nolan Ryan chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly, well seasoned but not salty, crisp but not overly breaded. The mashed potatoes were whipped and buttery and the broccoli was steamed without being too soft. My girlfriend ordered the Flo filet and after tasting a bite of it I seriously wanted to order one to go. I'm very surprised and pleased with this location. We will be back soon. read more

Always a safe option when you have celiac disease. This is not always easy to find. It is nice to know they make 2 of their salad dressings in house, and know they are gluten free. This is a big deal when dealing with a gluten allergy (and not just wanting to eat gluten free). Their ranch dressing is so good. I took some home with me to have the next day. For our family reunion dinner to kick off the holiday season, my Aunt proposed that we visit the new Longhorn Steakhouse here in The Woodlands. Even though it was a Wednesday night, I assumed we might have a bit of a wait if I didn't call and make a reservation since we were a party of seven and this place had only recently opened. I called to make a reservation and the hostess politely told me they didn't make reservations, but instead they had a "Call Ahead" policy. It's almost a reservation. If you inform them, you'll be at the restaurant by a certain time with your party, they can make sure you're wait is about half the time it would normally be with a walk-in. All I can say is thank goodness because we got there, checked in and were told it would be a fifteen minute wait. A party of three checked in afterward and their wait was 45 minutes (holy cow)! And luckily for us, the wait actually was only 10 minutes! Our waitress was prompt in getting drink orders and returned with complimentary bread (yum). Soon after we all ordered and then went to discussing college football, the upcoming Rose Bowl game, and other subjects we related over. Only complaint: it seemed to take extra long for our food to come. I got the grilled chicken salad with strawberries. OMG. This salad was amazing. It had tons of fruit, pecans, mixed greens, feta cheese, onions and chicken grilled to be tender and juicy. Needless to say I was happy with my choice. And when the waitress brought it out it was super pretty! I tried a bite of my cousin's ribeye and it was delicious. My uncle thought it was seasoned too much with pepper but I liked it. I have to tell you this place was very welcoming, the host to our waitress was very attentive and got us everything we needed from our bread, drinks, meals. My wife and I attended an event sponsored by our Foodie Group. For appetizers we had: Crab & Artichoke Dip, Sweet Corn Fritters, Wild West Shrimp, and Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms. The crispy flatbread that came with the Crab & Artichoke dip was was the perfect texture, not too soft and not too hard. The Sweet Corn Fritters were piping hot and easy to break apart and eat (unlike many hush puppy type entries). WIld West Shrimp was served with cherry peppers, garlic butter, and housemade Ranch dressing. These and the Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms (which were amazing and absolutely delicious...if you like mushrooms and cheese) were the crowd favorites. The Grilled Chicken Tortilla Soup that I had next was not your typical tortilla soup, but was good. It had a nice spiciness to it. For my main course I had the 18 oz., Outlaw Ribeye which was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well. The steak was one of the juiciest that I've ever had. It was DELICIOUS!!! Then for desert, I had the Blueberry Lemon Butter Cake which was out of this world! It was served warm, and the lemon icing was spectacular!! I could have consumed just that. Billy, who was one of the managing parter's, was there the entire time, informing us about Longhorn and their history, as well as what they do and how they give back to the community. He communicated to us about their food preparation process and how they take great pride in their food safety. All of the staff who waited on us were very pleasant and prompt. We typically shy away from many of the big chain restaurants and dine with local mom and pop establishments. However, this was a very unexpected (in a good way) and pleasurable dining experience. Great alternative to Olive Garden when you get a gift-card. So it being part of Darden's, we got a gift card to Olive Garden, but I just don't really care for Olive Garden, so we used it at Long Horn Steakhouse. I had been here before for lunch, decent lunches for the prices. But they must use the term steakhouse very loosely. I've been to a number of steakhouses in my day from San Francisco to New York. But just because they call themselves a steakhouse does not make them a steakhouse. I call myself good looking but.... My wife got chicken fried chicken. Enough said. It's hard to screw that up. It was decent. I got a steak, med rare. It was very rare. At least it was not over cooked. Me being very familiar with food-service, and a huge fan of the movie "Waiting," I dared not send it back. I don't care for extra garlic or salt on my steak. I muscled through it and got her done. But before that, I needed to get some salad with my croutons. See what I did there? I swear they put the whole bag of croutons on my salad. My loaded bake potato was hardly loaded. But again, a baked potato, is a baked potato, unless you really know what you are doing and make it awesome, which they did not. Then young man taking care of us was very good. We ordered water and it tasted like chemicals (The manager did bring us bottled water after we notified them) The salad was average, the sides were good, but the steak was something you could get at Golden Corral. It was over cooked and the flavor was just not there. When you order a Ribeye it should not taste like a sirloin that's not even an inch thick!! My boyfriend and I visited this location on a Tuesday evening around 7 pm for dinner. It was our anniversary and we were hoping to just have a laid back meal, neither of us having ever eaten at Longhorn. The only other experience I'd had with this restaurant (same location) was when a group of 12-15 coworkers wanted to have a lunch here. They called several days ahead to see if they needed to reserve a table and to let the staff know how many of them there would be. They were told they could not be accommodated they ate at BJ's down 45. How is a restaurant that's bigger than 3 tables NOT able to accommodate such a small group for lunch? Regardless, on we went for our anniversary. It was a Tuesday, around 7 pm and we walked into a relatively empty restaurant. We asked for a booth and were told we'd have to wait. I was confused as to why because there were so many empty ones, along with many empty tables. But we waited about 5-10 minutes and were sat by the hostess. There were also many other groups that had to wait when they came in. I didn't see anyone sat immediately. We sat and watched as every table around us were waited in in one way or another: drink orders taken, food orders taken, desserts brought out, waiters simply checking on tables...etc. Many of the waiters threw looks our way but no one came over and took any orders, or even asked if we'd been waited on yet. We sat there for over 10 minutes when I'd had enough. We left and found another place to eat. And we didn't eat obviously, but the food selections didn't seem impressive at all and looked like a pretty good replica of Outback. Which is where we ate and our bill was around $150 for the two of us. I've been a waitress before and for a Tuesday night, table of two, that's a pretty good tab to be tipped on. I will not be visiting Longhorn again because I'm not sure what circumstances could be better for them to serve a customer correctly. read more

We came here for dinner with some of my fiancé's colleagues from work, and we all enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent. We were greeted at the door immediately upon our arrival and were quickly taken care of. As we waited for our party to arrive, I noticed they thanked everyone leaving the restaurant as well. Once seated, the waitress was very attentive, service was generally fast, and orders were correct. Everyone enjoyed their various cuts of steak (and fish). I ordered Flo's Filet 6oz medium rare with a Caesar salad and Smoky Sausage & Shrimp Rice. The filet was cooked perfectly - soooo tender and juicy. The rice was just ok to me. I didn't expect it to taste sweet... I may not have read the ingredients right because I was expecting something spicy. My fiancé's 8oz medium rare filet was perfect as well. I will start off this review by saying.. I usually refuse to eat at places like this. Yes, I am a snobby inner looper. I met my parents here on a Sunday early afternoon for lunch, their choice. I didn't have high hopes at all.. but it really exceeded my expectations. Our server was fantastic.. he was so personable and very attentive.. again just blew me away. I am on a pretty restrictive diet, so I scoped out the menu beforehand. I had the napa grilled chicken, sweet potato, and a side salad. I had requested several modifications to my meals, and the server and kitchen nailed every single one of them. The server even picked up on my style of ordering, and asked things like "did you want the croutons on the salad?" Just really shows good thinking on his part. The food all tasted really good.. I went to lunch with my hubs. The waitress was great, really friendly and gave good recommendations. They have lunch specials at good prices $7, $8, $9. I went with the $8 lunch combo of the chicken strawberry salad with bowl of chili. The chicken is well prepared, I like the sweetness from the strawberries. The "bowl" of chili is a bit soupy for a chili. It did have chunks of beef and NO beans, thank goodness, topped with cheese and jalapeños but I like my chili thick and not like a beef soup. The flavors were there and this would do well served with cornbread. If this is a bowl I hate to see what a cup is. They do give you a small cluster of potatoe chips drizzled with queso on the side of each of their lunch combos. Also, tried the jalapeño poppers and they are terrific, better than most places. The jalapeños are nearly whole stuffed with filling and fried. They have a good amount of heat. I totally recommend these. I got the mexican corn, though it doesn't reflect the picture it was still yummy. Overall, great place for a reasonable lunch. I plan to bring my mom here. read more

Saw other tables complaining but not sure what it was all about. My steak was tasteless tough and tiny (so was the bake potatoe) My salad had no dressing and kinda brown.
