Had a great 1st experience at "Los Favoritos" the restaurant drive thru was packed yet when we walked-in the line was not bad and they had our orders ready in a timely manner. The food was tasty. They feature other plates and Refrescos Mexicanos (Mexican Soda) I ordered the adobada burrito which was absolutely delicious yet I wish their salsa was more spicy. read more

Poor customer service. Food is okay, nothing special. The California burritos are around $8 total after tax, yet they're smaller than my Dick. I'll post a picture for reference. Normally I love Los Favs. Just not this location. I ordered a Taco Salad with carne asada, no beans and guacamole on the side. I did get charged $1.50 extra for the Carne Asada.) What I got, a bed of tortilla chips, with lettuce, cheese and an obscene amount of sour cream. No carne asada. When I called the restaurant the cashier, Melinda was rude and unapologetic. She just said, "I don't get how that happened" said I could drive all the way back and have a new one made but I wouldn't get a refund. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I could call back tomorrow. While this location is very clean it's so far from being a los Favoritos. The evening crew had obnoxious rap music blaring from behind the counter. The genre of music doesn't bother me, it's the volume level they had it at that was just dumb and annoying. I was hoping that rolled tacos would be the same as the ones at Fillibertos..well not so much!! I think mine were filled with dog food!!! I could have gotten better rice and beans out of a can and cooked them myself...I could only eat 3 out of the 6 rolled tacos just to try and justify spending $10 on garbage!! Okay! I gave them another chance. Not handing out more stars however because my food wasn't hot when I got it home. There is a reason why, because the guy that was packaging the food and handing it out went to the restroom and was in there for over ten minutes leaving the cashier solo to handle a long line of people wanting to order. My food was placed out to be bagged up but others food got placed on top of mine so my food sat there longer than necessary because the cashier was too busy to stay on top of everything. People that ordered several minutes after me got their food and honestly it pissed me off. I get that the cashier was busy but take care of the customers that paid first. Those waiting in line will wait if they are hungry enough. She could've even bagged an order then took an order and so on and so forth but she would take several peoples orders before turning her attention to the food in the window. And that's why my food was barely warm when I got home. The only saving grace for this Los Favs is their food is damn tasty! Got my carne asada burrito again, they got it correct this time. Decided to try the cheese enchiladas too and have food for later. I did give the enchiladas a try and they were BOMB! I guess it's a give n take with this place. Had the chorizo breakfast burro with coffee. This is my second visit to this restaurant. One star better from last visit. Service was good and place was clean. Free coffee refills and two choices for salsa. The burrito was ample. The eggs, chorizo and potato are chopped together on the flat top which provides consistency. This place is right around the corner from us so we had to try it on a Saturday night since we're staying in tonight. Honestly I was thinking it would be one step up from Del Taco and Taco Bell but it wasn't it's just a more expensive version of the two places the food taste like your store bought processed food I was very disappointed. The tamales tasted like a frozen tamale from Food City and the rice was kind of crunchy. I don't see us returning any time soon. read more

Great food super fast service and I definitely would recommend them. We have had them a couple times for breakfast burritos and now for tacos on Tuesday and they are very good! I recently moved here from California and have been having a hard time finding food that compares and this place hit it out of the park for me! The tacos did seem a little pricey but once I got the order home and and saw how big they were they were definitely worth the cost. I have been eating at this restaurant for years, but I would have to say that in the last week I am very disappointed. They are now deciding how many salsas you need on your food and then charging $.25 per salsa cup. Really small salsa cup btw. I was originally going to take my order home and eat it, but once they tried to charge me I decided to dine in and put all the salsa I wanted in my food for no extra charge. I can understand charging extra for toppings, but don't over charge. Even with inflation being at an all time high, the Salsa cup is still not worth $.25. I'm disappointed. read more

I was looking for a more authentic Mexican taco verses Filiberto's. I got three carne asada tacos, and the mean was tender there was far too much salt for my liking which ruined the overall taste. There was no guacamole (which I now recommend asking for) to counter balance the taste of the salty carne asada, and after a few bites it became overwhelming. The service was my least favorite aspect of the restaurant. Although the cashier was polite she seemed cold and annoyed, the cooks were scowling in the back. It was a good hour before closing but maybe try coming earlier to get better service. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who is keen on customer service. The tacos are better than Filiberto's, but I'm still on the hunt to find the best tacos in Phoenix because Los Favoritos is not it. read more
