We were in the neighborhood and searched Yelp for a good taco spot--this place had great reviews,…read moreso we decided to give it a try. From the outside, it's small and unassuming, but don't let that fool you. We ordered the birria queso tacos, asada queso tacos, and regular asada tacos--every single one was absolutely delicious. They also gave us a consommé to try, which was really flavorful and a perfect addition. It's a family-owned business, which we always love to support. The young girl who took our order and seated us (I think her name was Arian?) was incredibly sweet and had better customer service than many adults--she truly stood out. Overall, the service was warm and welcoming, and we've already recommended this spot to friends. We'll definitely be back!

It was on a Sunday morning around 10 am. It was pretty busy, we had to wait for a table for family of 5 for about 20 minutes, not bad. I noticed that after 11:30 the rush was over. We all asked for the same plate. Birria with rice and beans. We wanted the handmade tortillas so it was a little extra but it was worth it. The Birria was so flavorful and Delicious! The waitress was so attentive and sweet! We will definitely be back!

There's a tiny front area that feels like someone's living room which I love, and the back patio is very cozy too. They also have larger tables for big groups and a bar area. The food is mexican fusion, really fresh with flavors in perfect harmony. Last time we tried the lobster tacos, and I immediately ordered another. The burrata pear salad was fresh and refreshing, and the butternut squash enchiladas were so yummy and comforting. I can't wait to try more dishes! Oh, and their tacos and guac and chips are really good too, you can't go wrong with anything here!

Would it be my top choice for Mexican food if I'm looking for a traditional taco or burrito? No, but this restaurant markets itself as a modern spin on Mexican cuisine, and the food is solid overall. At my last meal I ordered tacos and shared one taco entree with a friend. Each taco order comes with two, and the duck confit had a great mixture of savory and sweet flavors with the goat cheese, bean puree, and pickled onions. I shared the fried chicken tacos with my friend and found it to be unremarkable. On the other hand, the seasonal cocktail that I ordered was well-made and made me curious about trying other alcoholic beverages when I return in the future.

The decor filled with old black and white photos, the energy of the restaurant, and even having two full bars gave the place a fun, authentic vibe that instantly stood out. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. I ordered the carne asada with shrimp, and the flavor was incredible perfectly grilled with that smoky, straight off the grill taste that you hope for but rarely get. My girlfriend ordered the beef taquitos and loved them. We both had margaritas. I went with the classic on the rocks with salt, and she had the strawberry margarita, which was equally great. What really shocked us was how FAST the food came out. I kid you not... warp speed. Usually when food comes out that quick, quality suffers not here. Everything was fresh, hot, flavorful, and plated perfectly. Living in Hollywood, this honestly felt like a breath of fresh air: great service, quality food, strong drinks, and an overall experience that actually lives up to the reputation. By the time we left, there was already a line of cars waiting for parking, so I highly recommend arriving early for parking and shorter wait times. - Ian Lantz

I like this place, maybe it's changed over the years? I read some of not all the one star reviews…read more I still like it but I'm gonna say it's expensive for what it is and that's probably cause I'm old and yeah everything is expensive if it's good. Which its actually pretty great. I had two birria tacos and a coke. Wanted more food so I'll come back to try the shrimp burrito. Here is also how I know it's great, it's clean and the salsa bar is delicious and divine. I'm happy it's near by where I live and I just wish I made more money to go here more often. Reminds me of home. So thanks. This is an eat and get out kinda place not really for hanging out or date night.

My favorite was the al pastor--I thought it was really flavorful and juicy even without any extra sauce. My husband's favorite was the steak. The chicken tacos were a bit dry but had a real nice flavor. I also got a steak quesadilla which I really enjoyed. The restaurant is located in a tiny shopping center. I didn't have any trouble finding parking but I can imagine it would be harder to find parking if it was busier. Service was actually a lot quicker than I expected--the store seemed busy when I ordered, but my food was done in less than 10 minutes. We would return again for Taco Tuesday!
