Our reservations were for 7:30, the restaurant was near empty and we had to wait 10 minutes, which is no big deal. After we were seated, we had to wait 10-15 minutes for waiter to ask us what we preferred to drink and we all said water. We had to wait another 10-15 minutes before we got our water. We were served hard breadsticks that were in the shape of a circle, and there was only five breadsticks, but there was six of us. Before trying out the breadsticks, we had asked if we can have one more and that took 15 minutes to receive. We had our order taken and it took pretty close to 40 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Most of us had pasta dishes One had soup and tuna tartare, One had the lasagna. Some of the pasta dishes were just OK, the lasagna was a pinwheel that had some type of rib meat in it. The lasagna was so incredibly oven, hot that it took a long time for it to cool off despite my blowing on it. The tuna tartare had tuna, avocado, and some weird citrus sauce on the bottom. They did not mesh well together. The restaurant itself was nice and could be good for groups or a romantic dinner. I believe this restaurant is trying to be a modern type of Italian restaurant and for us, it failed miserably. Our waiter was really good despite everything else. read more

Stopped here for dinner while at MGM. It was busy and loud at the bar. Service was good and drinks were well made, although I could have used with a little more interaction from the bartenders. The food I tried was well made and priced average for Vegas. I had the short rib lasagna rolls and I have to say they are as good as they looked in the pictures. The food here is spectacular! I love everything! But my favorite is the bar staff!!! They make the experience perfection! Charming, funny and so knowledgeable of their menu, giving suggestion favorites is truly delightful. Ilian, Ashton, Nikki-Jo and Matt are entertaining and simply fabulous! They make you feel like family. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, probably why I return a little too often. I'm going to need a rewards card please! Having grown up in New England and summering on Cape Cod this girl knows her cod. And the Chilean Sea Bass Picatta served at Luchini Italian Restaurant wasn't even seabass-adjacent. Bland, like previously frozen cod can be, flaking like cod flakes on the fork when done just right, and lacking in the buttery, rich texture that is the hallmark of Chilean sea bass, this piece of fish lacked the meatiness of sea bass and just frankly, looked, felt and tasted like cod. Having forgotten to bring my DNA barcoding device, (in which a specific segment of genetic material can be analyzed to determine what species of fish I am being served,) with me to Vegas, I can't be certain what I ate wasn't sea bass...but I also can't be sure it was. The piccata sauce was another kettle of fish. A pale yellow opaque emulsion of something vaguely resembling lemon juice, broth and oil, it was uninspired and did little to cover the blandness of the cod, er...seabass. The generous serving of two whole capers, one at 6 o'clock, the other 10 o'clock on the plate more than made up for the lack of pasta. Yup, that's all folks! Just a piece of white fish in yellow oil and all for the low, low price of $46! What's that old Borscht Belt joke??? The one about the food being terrible and there being so little of it??? Our group had an amazing culinary experience at the new Luchini restaurant. We had a large group so we were able to try several items on the menu. Everything we tried was decadent and delicious with very high quality ingredients and prepared exquisitely. Our favorite was the pinwheel short rib lasagna which is a must try! The service was excellent with very friendly staff who gave us suggestions and were both accommodating and speedy. Thank you to Chase for making it such a special occasion. We went to Luchini on opening night. I loved how thin but crispy the pizza was. The Diavola pizza was great with the sweet honey on it. Felt like the Pene Alla Rosa pasta didn't have much flavor. Our servers name was Richard and you know the service is great when your soda is never empty. He had great recommendations and very friendly! The Ambiance is dark and cozy. Giving 4 starts due to service Food is 5 stars There was 4 of us at this dinner. We ordered the - Meatballs with and added one so everyone can have one (4). - Fritto Misto (this comes with Calamari, fried shrimp and fried zucchini strings) there was only 1 shrimp in the whole plate which was disappointing as my mom does not eat calamari but other than that it was delicious Salads - Caesar salad which had to be one of the best Caesar salad we have had! -Anti Pasta - was disappointing as it was all radicchio which made it so difficult to eat due to the bitterness. We ended up sending this back and asking for another Caesar For the main course - Margherita pizza 1-2 people -Chicken Parm was so big and delicious this can feed 2-3 people -Seafood Fra Diavolo this can easily feed at least 4-5 people! Dessert - we got the Chocolate cake Absolutely amazing 4-5 people can share this. Service was decent, the water glasses are very small so our cups were always empty and having to keep asking someone for water when we can get someone's attention. My party of 4 dined here last night on Valentine's Day. We had a reservation- and we still waited to be seated. The service was very slow. That why the 4 stars. The food was VERY good. We had the eggplant which is more than an appetizer- it's so well balanced! The ceasar salad was excellent, NOT overdressed.. the house salad lacked flavor in the dressing. The focasia was good but hard- our dinner- chicken Milanese , ravioli, penne apicy sauce , , and another pasta dish I can't remember the name. Round pasta. Everything was amazing- the spicy sauce on the penne, but we got spaghetti instead of the penne. EXCELLENT spicy sauce!! Very well balanced. And drinks- the Prema Dona is very good and the moscato is AMAZING!!! The place is very loud- almost couldn't hear the servers. And DO NOT SKIP dessert!!! The pistachio gelato is awesome!! We came here before one of our shows and it was decent. Started off with a (free) breadstick like deal (kind of like the ones you get in the Giardetto's bags)... light but not filling. As an app, we got the Fritto Misto... fried well. I got the rigatoni al pesto as a meal and it felt like the right size...not too heavy and not too big of a portion. We ended up getting dessert and got cheesecake and the chocolate torte cake. Both very good. We dined at Luchini for my birthday. My wife and I sat in the lounge by the bar. We were cheerfully greeted by a waitress by the name of Jessica. Jessica recommended we try the warm house focaccia, shrimp scampi and Salmon to be paired with asparagus. Her recommendations were spot on. She was very attentive, made sure our drinks and water were topped off, and despite looking like she had little to no help, she kept our table clean and even wiped our table between courses. At the end, she surprised me with a birthday gelato, which was big enough for my wife and I to share and it was creamy and delicious! A pleasurable dining experience and top notch service. We came here to celebrate a birthday. She loves Italian food so we decided to try out MGM's newest restaurant. We made reservations and were seated at our appointed time. Service was great! I appreciate team work at a restaurant and this restaurant killed it! When our server's was helping another table and we needed an additional spoon, we asked another staff member who quickly grabbed what we needed. He didn't hesitate or wait to relay to our server, he just did it. And this was the experience I had all night. We had our water refilled quickly by several different people and if we needed another they all pitched it to ensure guests left happy. Now to the food. We had a party of three and the food portion were perfect for us to share. We enjoyed the classic Caesar salad. This salad can often be overdressed which can make the lettuce soggy. I am happy to report this was not the case here. Our romaine was cold crisp and tasted great! I normally don't eat the croutons but my husband really liked it and encouraged me to try. It was crispy and tasted like a Parmesan crisp. The next was our main courses. I was hoping for the Sunday gravy and some other pastas I saw in other diner's pictures but they weren't available. So we had the meatballs, crispy broccoli and the short rib pinwheels. I make homemade meatballs so this meatball had to shine in order for the family to be happy. I'm happy to report, it did! It was very tender, great flavor and held up in the sauce. It even had a dollop of ricotta. The broccoli was yummy too. It was soft on the outside and slightly crispy on the outside and topped with a little bit of parmigiana cheese. The short rib pinwheels were delicious. Noodles oozing with a béchamel layer and ricotta cheese. We wished we had a little more short rib filling but it was still very good. For dessert we had to try the chocolate cake and it was everything you would expect from a chocolate cake but they add yummy chocolate shavings on the top and if that's not enough, when they serve it table side they pour this warm chocolate ganache on top! They also brought out a vanilla gelato with crispy bits that was also good. It was the perfect combo. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and the food was delicious. For a restaurant that opened just this week. Everything already looks divine on the menu. I had a simple Margarita Pizza and not only did it look very delicious, but the crust wasn't too crunchy, and it really tasted like an authentic, Italian style pizza, with extra zest from the Parmesan and Crushed Peppers. The man brought a whole block and grated it and asked when he wanted me to stop! I would definitely make this my go to whenever I am around, and the service was very kind and polite, offering to my needs. It was okay. The hostesses ignore people and chat until they are done gossiping about customers. Then they check you in. Not a great welcome. Our waiter seemed annoyed we had any questions and assured us he would get us out "with plenty of time" for a 7pm show next door (KA) but I was stressing at 6:50pm waiting for the check (we had a 5:15 reservation and were seated at 5:35). The margharita pizza was garbage - don't order. I was expecting fresh mozzarella and basil - like a *Margharita* pizza but it comes out more like a kids cheese pizza (wish I took a pic but I don't waste camera space for something not worth remembering). There is no bathroom inside the restaurant. (Who designs a restaurant like this!?!) The shrimp Parmesan was more burn than crisp - overall the short rib lasagna roll was the best. I would only eat here because of location to KA - for cost alone and lack of bathroom, if you don't have show tickets next door, go elsewhere. I know many of these restaurants don't care their bill is $300+ but for every visitor to Vegas, this is NOT the norm and we expect food and service to be spot on (or at the very least, a bathroom on site). read more

Our first night in the MGM Grand and we were looking for a place to eat and watch the Monday night football game. Walking by Luchini, there was a bar area with TVs which was perfect for us. The staff were exceptional! Made some nice recommendations on adjusting my drink order to something I make like better, as well as food choices. We had the Cesar salad with their homemade dressing - not anchovy forward, more lemon and garlic - the meatballs were was tender and flavorful, and a pizza that had salami and hot honey. Everything was so good! While it was the bar area, it was still very nice! I would recommend for sure and would love to try their deserts... guy at the bar had a piece of the chocolate cake and it looked amazing! You pay top dollar in a casino and this places has the atmosphere, the people and the food to make the experience worth it! read more
