    Breakfast burritos with bacon.
    Lawrence M.

We saw so many videos about the infamous breakfast burritos at Lucky Boy in Pasadena that we decided to check it out for ourselves. My kids and I brought our appetite! The burritos were huge and filled with so much bacon, hash, and scrambled eggs. If you don't want bacon you can order your burritos with sausage. The service was quick and their staff were very helpful. They really know how to keep the line moving.

I've heard these breakfast burritos are the go to if you want a breakfast burrito and that statement couldn't be more right. This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

Super yummy! This is a great burger spot. My burger was pretty yummy and I loved the chili cheese fries. My husband got a pastrami sandwich and it was huge. The sandwich was loaded with a ton of pastrami! So we took the extra pastrami that was falling out of the sandwich and put it on top of the chili cheese fries and that was super good. I loved the pastrami way more than the pastrami from The Hat. It has a different and better flavor than other pastrami I have had. It is a bit pricey but I do think these are typical prices now since inflation and everything is just more expensive these days. We paid about $36 and got a large drink, a large chili cheese fries, a pastrami sandwich, and a cheese burger. Super yummy and I'll definitely be coming back. This will be one of my go to burger spots

I tried the breakfast burrito with sausage, egg, cheese and bacon! It was $14. Burrito was large enough to feed 2 people. The eggs are cheesey and there's a generous amount of the bacon. There's a free parking lot. There's outdoor and indoor seating available.

This is our first time at Lucky Boy and we our trying their delicious items on thier menu especially their famous pastrami. Friends were telling me go to Lucky Boy in Pasadena and try their burgers and especially their two popular items their breakfast burrito and their famous pastrami. Then I heard pastrami I told my wife let's go Lucky Boy and try their delicious mouth-watering pastrami. We arrive there and step in the restaurant and look at their menu displaying on the screen,we look and found what we looking for the pastrami we order it and side salad and two drinks. The interior of the restaurant is really nice with awards and pictures of Pasadena and pictures of Lucky Boy through the years. Couple minutes later they our number my pickup our meal,I notice the pastrami was pretty big but the aroma was overwhelming smell of pastrami. Unwrapped the pastrami smell fantastic it was cut in half then I give the other half to wife. I took a bite of my half pastrami I say to my wife OMG so much flavors in the pastrami and very juicy. The juices of the pastrami is so good, the meat was lean and have some fat but fat is good it bring flavor to pastrami that make so good. My wife love the pastrami and enjoy it. The side salad was very good. Overall we enjoy the pastrami at Lucky Boy we will come back for more pastrami sandwich or try different items from their menu.

Lucky Boy A patient of mine was recommending this place as a good breakfast spot for breakfast burritos. I am a big breakfast burrito advocate. I do like them a certain way, though. I gave this place a try early in the morning. Plenty of parking before 8am on a weekday. It had very retro diner vibes and the service was very quick. The burrito was massive, and it was pretty good. I only wished I could choose more than one meat, I ended up with bacon, which was extremely crispy. The potatoes were a bit overwhelming for me. You'll definitely be full after this meal!

Nostalgic, comfort food is what its giving. I used to gather with my friends when I was a school girl and we used to put money together to share a burger and chili fries and this took me back! We had a cheeseburger, chili fries, taquitos with guac and of course classic milkshakes! They were so delicious. Lucky Boy is known for their breakfast burrito but there's so much more!

I visited this location on a Sunday. The venue has a small private lot so parking is doable. There is also street parking if the lot is full. Ordering is done outside via a window. The menu is vast as it has breakfast & lunch options. I opted for the famous breakfast burrito with bacon & a lemonade. I was not prepared for that burrito. Size is comparable with chipotle. The burrito comes with a side of salsa which was nice. Indoor seating is also available with traditional diner booths. Self serve ketchup, pepper, napkins, & peppers are available as well. The burrito was a 9/10 for me as I felt it needed a bit more seasoning. Overall, a very yummy burrito. The staff were open to questions & very kind. It can be a bit loud as the venue can get packed however the venue has a nice selection of music ranging in genres which was a plus. I def want to come back for the zucchini fries & to try one of the burgers.

Breakfast burrito is absolutely massive and a good deal for $12. I only ate half for breakfast and had the other half for lunch. Order came out 3-4 min after ordering which is pretty quick considering how many people were there. Very generous on the bacon and it's super crunchy! The potatoes were a little soft for my preference, tots would've made this thing perfect! The salsa was just mid.

This is an iconic Pasadena location that's been around longer than I've been alive. While the fries are good and the burger is solid, there is nothing special here to set it apart from other local spots. The staff is standard and the vibe is your typical retro stand. $20 for a burger, fries, and a drink. The value doesn't justify the hype. It isn't a bad meal, but it certainly didn't earn my praise.

Ordering came on a Friday around 10:15am you know this place is loved heavily by the community! Their breakfast burritos live up the size hype especially in this economy! The burrito is legit as big as my face elongated! Food came out fast too! The inside tells so much history! The burrito its self was pretty bland definitely recommend adding a side of ranch or another salsa!

This morning, I saw a breakfast burrito online and wanted to eat a breakfast burrito, so I made a commitment to come here and drive up through the wavy 110n freeway to get a burrito I haven't had for close to a decade. I gotta breakfast avocado burrito and the person I went with got a sausage breakfast burrito. It felt like they put an entire avocado in my burrito. It was hot and steamy all the way through and the salsa just makes it so delightful to eat. The sausage breakfast burrito came with 5 whole pieces of sausage. In addition to the main ingredient, there were crispy hash browns, eggs and cheese in the burritos. Plus they were like maybe 3 times bigger than what you'd find at a typical breakfast burrito joint. All for $11.90 in this economy? I feel that pricing is better than practically anywhere in LA for a breakfast burrito nowadays. The service was quick and attentive. There is a diner to eat in with a patio. If I could've ate more, I would've got more things. But it's definitely worth going here to get some extra large, hot and steamy breakfast burritos for sure!

We came by in the afternoon and got a bacon breakfast burrito and a sausage breakfast burrito. We wanted to try the chorizo one, but we came after 10:30am -- next time! The burritos were huge. Lots of potato. Fillings are not evenly distributed so each bite is a mystery. Straightforward diner experience. The booths were cozy. Seemed like a nice place to sit and yap.

Are breakfast burritos all day? my life depends on this answer just FYI

Yes, all day! And it's not cash only. They accept card. I paid with card today. Chip and all.

Can you get the breakfast burrito without meat or are they pre-made?

Made to order. If u want no meat ask for no meat.
