When I asked whether the seating was open seating, the staff member responded, "Yes, but that's not how it works, sweetie," along with other belittling and condescending comments. The staff member forced me to get up from the table so another group could sit there. I found the entire interaction incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. My family was already in line ordering while I was simply holding a table for us, and there were plenty of other tables available for the other group. Regardless of the establishment's seating policy, there was absolutely a more respectful way to communicate this to a customer. Being spoken to in such a condescending manner was shocking and embarrassing, and the interaction ultimately made me uncomfortable enough that I decided to leave. I have never been treated this way at an establishment before. Very disappointing experience, especially because this could have been handled respectfully and professionally.
