Was looking for a good diner to have a late breakfast and I came across Lucy's with my family. The service was a 10/10! All the girls working were so attentive and kind. We were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. They're well staffed, providing great customer service. I had a Mexican breakfast option and I was not blown away. It did lack in flavor. The green chilaquiles also we're less than appetizing. They have a very extensive menu so maybe we just chose the wrong items. Both my daughters loved their breakfast. One had French toast and the other a waffle. We are open to giving them another shot and maybe trying something else. read more

Food is really good, we have been here a few times and everything has been flavorful. My wife says it is the best pazolé shes had and they have it 7 days a week. Service is always good and staff is always friendly. All in all a great local diner. read more

Great food, any plate you get, you'll be satisfy, I got the Lucy's waffle and my wife got the sirloin and both plates did not disappoint, my kids were happy with their selection for kids, (chicken nuggets and waffles, ) I think service can be better, my wife asked for a half portion of waffles that comes with strawberries, she told our waitress to please give us the waffle with everything on the side, strawberries sugar, caramel apples etc, but the waitress refuse to put them aside, she said she cannot serve them separately because the plate is sold as is, (which don't make sense) so my wife told her to bring her the waffle plate, with plain waffles, and a side of strawberries, which she again refuse! Which is really disappointing as you are paying about $20 bucks per plate, So we ended up convincing our 7 year old daughter to eat the plate with the sugar and strawberries on top, and let me tell you, it was easier to convince her, than to convince our waitress, When our food arrive another waitress brought it to us and she had a weird vibe, throwing the plates, we felt that they were so busy that they needed us out in 15mins, Before leaving we order a cheesecake to go, however we were not getting any help from our waitress so we called another random waitress named lucy (perhaps the owner?) , she was great with positive attitude and she even gave us a free cheesecake because it long for her to bring us the one we order, I think our experience was 3/5 the food was great 5/5 read more

I came into this restaurant around 7:30 am, and it was packed, and to-go orders were flying out the door. I was in the mood for a Chile Relleno, and Cardenas did not open their food area till 8 am. So I drove down citrus and found this place, Lucy's diner and I am glad I did. I was amazed that the atmosphere seemed so positive, mostly because of the staff; they were so nice, helpful, and all smiles I will definitely be back. read more

Was just there, 1:30pm 6/23/23 It was my 1st time here. I was very excited to eat here. I was asked if it was for here or to go, wasn't, sure, the female waitress asked again with a horrible attitude. She was talking nice but was having an attitude at the same time. As I was looking over the menu, the shorter waitress suggested the chilaquiles, they seemed like a good choice, I said yes, she asked me what sauce, red or green? I asked about the sauces and asked if she could put them on the side, so I could see which I preferred, she said no, so I asked if she could describe them, she said the red is tomato base, she left to ask about the green sauce, came back and she said she couldn't give me the recipe...I never asked for the recipe. I asked for manager, she got Mizly, who claimed to be manager, but looked like a waitress dressed like the 1st waitress. She said the sauces are made fresh that's why I couldn't try both, but how would I know which I liked since this was my 1st time there. I decided to leave. Since it was so hard to get both sauces on the side. I will not be back either. The energy and vibe was negative...I don't need that in my life. I'll go to Chili's instead. read more

Came here when we were in the area after dropping off dog a groomers. Came due to the great reviews but honestly had 3 meals and 3 agua frescas and one smoothie paid $68 plus tip. The service was a bit above ok and the chilaquiles with carne asada where inedible even after adding the lettuce salad they come with and the sour cream they were sooo salty. I couldn't taste flavor on the food except for the excess salt. No one in Our party finished their food. We won't be back don't know what all the hype is about. read more

First, don't judge a restaurant by the outside. It looks like an old taco stand that closed down, but inside is a very nice sit down restaurant. It was super clean and our waitress was fantastic! We stopped by for breakfast and the food was delicious, I rate Mexican food by the flavor of the beans. These beans were by far the best beans I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant. First time here. My friend and I were on our way to see a place for rent and we decided to get something to eat before our meeting. Got greeted and got a place to sit. It was busy so I wasn't surprised since it was a Saturday morning. We got moved to another table because a baby shower was taking place as we arrived. Loved that they made us feel comfortable and not cramped while everyone arrived. The menu is interesting and they have agua frescas. I didn't know until I already ordered my drink. I got the Mexican dish (I cant remember what it was) and let me tell you... it was delicious and satisfying, My friend got the pancakes, eggs and sausage combo. She ate it with no complaints. The servers are very attentive and beyond friendly. I love that. They joked with us and that's always a plus well at least for me. Burgers were huge, juicy and delicious. Highly recommend! Pazole was very good. Fried chicken so good and large portions! Severs were attentive, sweet, helpful, and overall amazing!!
