Food is VERY pricey but my GOODNESS IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! A little too much butter and it made the roll soggy. Next time I come, I'll get the butter on the side. The cashier was very nice AND patient as I changed lobster roll sizes. Ambiance is family oriented. My bill was $63.60?with a very small bag of chips. I'm coming back and bringing my hubby!!
Service was quick. Casual semi fast food dining ambiance. I was really looking forward to it because of all the hype but was sadly dissatisfied. For $30 I would have thought there would be much more flavor. It was pretty bland if you ask me and small too. Im still hungry after finishing the 4oz. I could have got the 6oz but I could not rationalize spending more than $30 for a sandwich. I'm glad I tried it but won't be coming back.
Just got off our cruise ship and had time to kill and happened to walk by Luke's. I decided to try their 1/2 Lb lobster roll and it was excellent! I wanted to try their crab roll also but unfortunately they were out of crab the morning we went there. But I would definitely recommend Luke's!
Friendly service even when you can tell they were busy. Line was out the door. Line moved pretty quickly. I was lucky to get a table. Noise is average and ambiance is nice. I went with the Luke's trio rolls which is 2 oz of meat. Supposed to be shrimp, crab and lobster. Wasn't feeling shrimp today asked if I could swap out the shrimp for an up charge they said sure. Asked for an extra butter. Cause the sweet honey butter had me intrigued but didn't want to commit. I asked for everything to be hot as I'm not a fan of cold crab. This was my only complaint. My crab was cold!!! :( So I didn't finish them and they were so busy I didn't want to make a fuss so I can't tell ya about the crab rolls but the lobster ones were fabulous and the spicy honey butter was fun and delicious. Worth giving it a shot.
Originally I was not sure about the price, but afterwards, I found they give a Very generous servings of protein with the rolls which makes it reasonably price! They do not skimp at all on the seafood. I decided to try the seafood roll flight and glad I did. The roll they come on is also super soft, buttery and DANGEROUS lol. Service from Michelle was great and food came out pretty quickly.
This one hurts to write because Luke's Lobster used to be one of those places I'd happily recommend to anyone visiting Seattle. My husband Jordan and I stopped in today before catching a flight, excited to treat ourselves to one of our favorite seafood meals. He ordered the flight, and I ordered the warm 8oz Truffle Lobster Roll. The first impression was great. The food looked absolutely amazing. The lobster was generous, fresh-looking, and overflowing from the bun. If I had judged the meal based on appearance alone, it would have been a 5-star experience. Unfortunately, the flavor told a completely different story. Everything tasted surprisingly bland. The lobster lacked seasoning, and the truffle flavor that used to make this roll stand out was barely noticeable. I kept taking bites hoping that signature flavor would show up, but it never did. Instead, it felt flat and forgettable. What was especially disappointing is that Luke's has always been expensive--but it used to feel worth every penny. You paid a premium price because the quality and flavor were exceptional. This visit felt like the price stayed the same while the experience took a major step backward. We left feeling let down because this wasn't our first visit. We know how good these rolls used to be, which made the contrast even more noticeable. The food looked beautiful, but the taste simply didn't match the presentation. I sincerely hope this was just an off day because I'd love to see Luke's return to the quality that made it a Seattle favorite. For now, though, this visit was a disappointing reminder that appearance alone can't make up for missing flavor.
Famous for the Rolls... but Missing a Little Something. I stopped by Luke's Lobster and ordered the seafood flight which consisted of 1 shrimp roll,1 lobster roll, and 1 crab roll. It's what they're known for, so I had to try the trio. The presentation was simple and clean, and the seafood itself tasted fresh, but I couldn't help feeling like something was missing. Each roll leaned a little dry and plain, almost like they needed a touch more butter or a signature sauce to bring it all together. The seasoning was very light, which might work for some, but I personally wanted more flavor. For a place that's famous for its rolls, I expected that "wow" bite and it just didn't quite hit that mark. Service was also just okay. Nothing terrible, but it lacked warmth or attentiveness. For the price point and reputation, I wanted a bit more energy and hospitality. Still, it's worth a visit if you love simple, no-frills seafood and want to sample a little bit of everything. Just don't expect bold flavors or much flair. I'd say it's more understated than indulgent.
While I wasn't expecting to have one of the best lobster rolls of my life in Seattle.... well, now I have. I was in town for the evening craving some seafood, so a few of us decided to try Luke's. This place caught our attention from the outside with how cute it is, and is right in the heart of the tourist area. It's small with not much on the menu, but you should know exactly what you want when coming in. And not only do they have lobster rolls, but also shrimp and crab rolls too, which I hadn't seen before! If you're feeling indecisive, you can get a flight of all three. Each roll also comes with chips and a drink. I went with a classic lobster roll and it was amazing. You can choose to have it chilled or warm. The bread was perfectly buttery and crunchy, too! I absolutely recommend Luke's for getting some good lobster in Seattle.
This is my second time trying Lukes Lobster, but now in seattle. Tried the lobster trio. It was alright, but I had better lobster rolls. We only went here because my friend wanted lobster roll, I didnt expect much because my experience from last time was underwhelming and second time didnt really leave me wanting to come eat these lobsters again.
The chilled lobster roll was okay. I liked the fluffy toasted buttered bun, my favorite part of the meal. I also liked that it didn't taste too heavily of mayo. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the chilled lobster itself because it kind of lacked flavor. I would come back to try the lobster roll and make it warm for an extra cost just because of how much I liked the bun. I would pass on the clam chowder though. It was lukewarm and I didn't want to finish it. One of my friends agreed and the other enjoyed it, so it just depends on your taste. The server forgot the bag of chips that was supposed to come with the order but it was an easy fix.
This was a place I had bookmarked for our visit to Seattle because I heard it was really good. It's right by Pike Market Place. We went right before lunch so it wasn't too busy yet. They have several tables inside and it's nice and bright which I liked. Instead of getting one sandwich each we decided to get the trio. It came with a small crab roll, lobster roll and shrimp roll. It came with a bag of chips and a pickle. The food came out pretty quickly and we ate with our eyes first. We both thought we'd like the lobster roll the best so we saved it for last. We went in order of what we thought we'd like from least to most favorite. We went with the shrimp roll first. They are small shrimps but OMG that was a flavor bomb. We thought if this is this good we are in for a treat. We gobbled that down and moved to the crab roll. Again so much flavor and it was full of crab. Lastly we ate the lobster roll and while it was good it was our least favorite and lacked the flavor the others had. We were so shocked! If we'd known we'd eaten them in reverse order. The restaurant did not disappoint and if we'd had more time there I'd have eaten there again and just gotten a whole shrimp or crab rolls.
During my time visiting Seattle, I knew that I had to try a lobster roll. My sister told me that Seattle made her fall in love with this dish and frequently had cravings because of it. I did not have extremely high expectations, as I have had dry, mediocre lobster rolls before. Sometimes, they come with coleslaw and other filler that detract from the whole point of the dish - the lobster! When my boyfriend and I entered the restaurant, I noticed that it was cozy and great for groups because there were many open seats! Although the price was steep for the size of the rolls, it was definitely justified. I ordered the trio of mini rolls with three different butters. They looked tiny at first glance, but my boyfriend and I dug in and found that it was surprisingly substantial! After my first bite, I was more and more excited to take more bites because the lobster was so soft and plump. The bread was very soft and the butters complemented the rolls perfectly. My boyfriend saved the last bite for me and I spent quite a while staring at it because I knew this would be one of those moments I would miss quite a bit. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty empty, especially compared to the rest of Pike Place. I ordered a lobster flight for $36 and it came in 7 minutes. The chips were good and were very crunchy. They are not flavored with anything asides from salt. The lobster flight is a great way to try different flavors in one sitting. The lobster is perfectly cooked and each roll is generously stuffed with lobster. The bread is basically soaked with butter and juices. The lemon butter feels very classic, traditional, and safe. It's tried and true. The truffle butter is very good. The truffle flavor comes through without being overwhelming. It's simple, yet very yummy. The spicy honey does have some heat to it. I felt like it was sweet on the bottom of the roll and spicy near the top. I'm not sure if it pairs well with lobster but I still enjoyed eating it. Went here with my friend after searching for some seafood after visiting Pikes Place Market, and was recommended Luke's Lobster (just up a block from the bustling market) for some lobster rolls. Short line to order at the counter. We ordered: - Warmed butter lobster roll 4 oz - Truffle Lobster Roll Combo (includes side and drink) lobster bisque and coke Preferred indoor seating over outdoor, and quickly sat after a table just left. Lots of natural light, good ambiance, and clean. A worker was quick to come over to wipe down the tables, and our orders came out within 10 minutes. For 4oz, the lobster was busting out of the seams of the buns, haha. My truffle lobster combo (with lobster bisque and drink) came out to be $44.45. I felt was fair pricing for quality and size. I was walking around pike place area looking for some lobster bisque. I checked Yelp to see good reviews and location. So I found this place and upon walking in there's a strong smell of a griddle top and burned oil. But that's fine if the food is good. Came to Luke's on one of my many Pike Place strolls, and I was not disappointed. When I walked in, no one was there but me, making the service prompt. The ambulance ambiance is casual with a fish market vibe. The star of the experience was undoubtedly the lobster roll. It was packed with tons of fresh lobster and just the right of mayo. We got the seafood roll flight to try all the flavors for our first time visiting. Service was quick. The food came out fast as well but it can get packed pretty quickly inside. I highly recommend the shrimp roll and the lobster roll. I would pass on the crab. It was just lack luster in flavor, in comparison to the other two. However, if you did get a full size roll, get butter on the side because I regret not adding butter or something extra to enhance the flavors. Overall, I would definitely come again. Very fresh. Very simple. What instantly stood out to me was the warm and soft buttery bread. I'm normally the kind to just eat the lobster and leave the bread but I actually enjoyed the bread more. The lobster itself got overwhelmingly quickly; not that it was bad, but it tasted like consuming sea water. They give you the option to add your own spices/condiments but I chose to evaluate them in their own. What's interesting about this place is that they just put lobster on buttered bread and nothing else - you're here for top tier lobster quality. Despite the high prices, I praise this place for its high quality seafood. I got the trio to try them all and found that I enjoyed the shrimp one the most. The quantity of the trio is just right for one but may not fill a hungry person. The chowder bisque are to die for and are the real winners of this place (if not the buttery bread). While these aren't exactly my favorite lobster rolls in town, this is probably my favorite place to go for lobster rolls, if that makes sense. They offer several different types of lobster roll flavors as well as a few crab or shrimp options. Bonus, their servers are actual help when making decisions so ask questions and they will do their best. The one thing I noticed that they do that so other places don't, they have an option to make it hot. I have people in my party that refuse to eat cold meats. This is one of the only lobster focused places I can safely take larger groups and feel confident that everyone will be able to happily order and eat. I'm not sure what flavor is my favorite, but to be honest the flavor differences are fairly subtle. I do wish the had an option for extra potent sauce so I could dip to get the full experience of their sauces ingredients. Luckily they also let you pick a size. These babies are not cheap. A date here for 2 can cost you over $80 if you order 2 fulls with sides and a drink. As in, if you have kids, be sure to order them the small version if you want to help your pockets out. Our bill for 4 smalls that we upgraded to the cheapest +2 combo, still came out around $120. Thank goodness they offer free water for those who can't afford the extra drink. The water tastes great. I don't appreciate their location. It's hard to believe they even have decent prices seeing how other places further away from this hot zone have even higher prices. The inside is so clean and inviting. Plenty of room, it's never even crowded. Perfect for an informal date or putting with friends. I hope they stick around and stay affordable and I'll keep on coming and bringing people to try them out. Don't expect to find easy parking. My first 2 visits I walked. My third visit I was in a car and we had to make 3 loops to find parking which was about a block and a half away. This was about as close as it gets. It's worth the journey. read more

So this place is a stone throw away from Pike Place Market. We came to grab a bite just before they closed. The place is nicely decorated with a rustic fisherman vibe, with the neons of Pike Place in the window. First thing you need to get over is the sticker shock. The 8 oz lobster roll is $54. I bought 3 for me and my big boys. So the Pike place larger was amazing. The lobster is on a sweet, creamy, toasted bun. The lobster meat was fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned. One of the best lobster roll I had, and I have had them in Maine, Rhode Island, Boston, San Diego, and central California.
