Lulu's is one of my favorite spots to go during the day to get a bite with a nice view. Sitting along the bar style seating facing an ocean view while enjoying breakfast is part of what makes Hawai'i special. They have a full bar, serve breakfast until 4pm, good variety on the menu and I've always had great service. Today we got the Fish n Chips and Steak Benny - both were great! We also enjoyed our server Lily. She was attentive, upbeat and mindful.

As a local, I highly recommend this small business. It wasn't the food that sold me, it was the generosity of giving back to the service employees. I forget what the discount is, but I just know that you are a service employee who works in Hawaii, they offer you a discount on your order; and that's how you bring in business and build loyalty with no just tourists, but locals as well. First off, I neeever heard of Lulu's before, but apparently it's been around for years and is a staple in Hawaii/Waikiki. It's definitely someplace that knows their main clientele will probably be 99% tourists so that may be why I never thought of it. But after today, I'll for sure recommend it to people who ask for a good place to eat and don't mind being in Waikiki. The view is amazing! It's got a panorama of Waikiki beach and the weather was beautiful when we went. I don't know what it's like in the winter time or when it's really windy, but we were sure blessed with good weather. I wonder if it gets hot here since the windows are always open? Strangely enough, I got a pasta. Why? Personally, it's because I was very protein heavy throughout the day and I figured, why not start with the most random item! Who needs a local dish??? Everyone at the table was very satisfied with the loco moco and the drinks we all got. I too was satisfied with my pasta, but it's not about the pasta, it's about the local foods and how well they do! I also have to admit, the fish special they had this night tasted amazing! Overall, just come here and continue to support small business, so that they can continue to support other small businesses and other service workers.

Food was ok. Potatoes were not fully cooked, omelet was good, nothing too special. However I was hungry so I ate all of it. A little expensive, BUT restaurant had a fantastic view of Waikiki and the zoo from the window. My group had a reservation for 13 for about two weeks, and unfortunately had to wait 10 minutes after our reserved time to get our table ready, and they stuck us in the corner no where near the window, lol. So I rate it a 3/5 because of the expensive food and receiving undercooked potato's and the reservation situation. But for small groups it is probably a better experience.

We had a gift certificate for Lulus, so we decided to give it a try. As a local, I don't love coming into Waikiki, but parking was easy and affordable on a Sunday at the zoo. The restaurant is located on the second floor with entrances on both the Kalakaua and Kapahulu sides. We came for a late lunch around 2pm. The restaurant wasn't super crowded, but we still had to wait around for a table. For three of us, we shared the Lulu moco and fish and chips. The Lulu moco was loaded, and I loved how there was both beef and kalua pig on it. The gravy was delicious and a hefty portion. The fish and chips were solid as well. While the breeze throughout the restaurant was nice, I was not a big fan of the birds. The birds were sitting on cleaned tables, which didn't feel super sanitary to me. But overall, the food was good!

This is a great place right on the main strip in Waikiki with a 180 degree view of the ocean it has an open air feeling that is welcoming staff and a large variety of seating for small or large groups! I decided to sit at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. The salad was a good size bigger than I expected but could have used more dressing for how huge it was, nothing crazy but a solid salad. The fried shrimp were a delicious and crispy choice, the sweet sauce was tasty but I would have preferred it on the side as it quickly started to take away some of the crunchy crispy edges that I love about fried shrimp, I got a side of buffalo sauce to dip the shrimp in and was a homemade tasty buffalo sauce that I would recommend for anything to dip in. If you like buffalo shrimp this might be a secret menu item to have them toss it in sauce. The menu is almost ridiculously large and a bit too much. I'd say tone it down and focus on the great items. The pina colada was good but not as much dress pineapple flavor I like good but not the best I've had. Definitely worth a stop if your hungry on the beach

Hubby and I decided on this spot last minute. I had a taste for a burger. The burgers were delicious. Very small serving of fries but I'm not mad at it, we are on the beach! Our waiter was nice and the food came out pretty quick. The vibe was ok, typical bar scene. The live music was little crazy because it was so loud. We went at night so it was dark and we couldn't experience the beauty of a full view but it still looked amazing.

FOOD: delicious! This was the first real açaí bowl I had and I can understand the hype! My boyfriend devoured his loco moco but I didn't really get to try. SERVICE: very kind. A girl in braids was our server and she felt like a friend AMBIANCE: very casual and beachy. Open window so birds can fly in and walk around

Came here because of the crowd outside and the good reviews, but it ended up being just okay. The loco moco has huge portions (definitely shareable for two), and the burger patty was nice and beefy. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish was way too salty. I also tried the guava drink, but it had a medicine-like taste that I didn't care for. Service was average. Overall, it feels a bit overhyped, good, but not amazing.

Surprisingly good brunch, especially considering this is typically a night spot! We ordered mochi pancakes, aloha avocado toast, and one of the egg dishes. Everything was very good, and the kids were very happy to see so many different kinds of mochi pancakes (strawberry, banana, ube, etc)! The environment is casual, open-air on the second floor, and you can see the water from most tables (although keep in mind you're across the street, not on the beach). The service is friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back here for brunch the next time I'm in the area!

    Birthday lunch!

We had a delicious lunch here on our last day with a group of 5 people. I had the chicken cesar wrap. This was filling and tasted so good! Others in my group had the pork tacos, cheese burger, loco mocco and a kids eggs breakfast. We thought all of our meals were good and the service was great. Prices seem fair for the quality of food. We were celebrating a birthday and they acknowledged it and brought out some guava ice cream for us all. Much appreciated. We were able to make reservations online which helped during busy lunch time. Would come back again for sure!

    Vodka Cream Linguine

Made reservations for a group of nine for our first night in Waikiki, and it was more than I expected. We got seated at our own "private" table in the corner, which was nice, and our server, Kaylee, was so cool and attentive. We ordered a round of drinks and our entrées, which came out pretty quickly. I will say the drinks were just alright (we all basically ordered piña coladas). They were a bit disappointing, but it was fine. The food, however, was surprisingly pretty good. I had the Chicken Vodka Cream Linguine, which was not too creamy and had a lot of flavor. I personally really enjoyed it. A couple of the guys ordered the Loco Moco, and one loved it, one said it was salty in a good way, and one said it was overly salty, so take that as you will. A couple of other people ordered the poke nachos, which they said were good, and others got the ahi poke. Portions were quite large. The place itself was lively and large. It can seat a good number of people, and even though we were kind of off to the side with our own party, it still felt comfortable. The manager also stopped by to check if everything was okay and cracked a few jokes with us, which was cool. For a big party on the Waikiki strip, I thought Lulu's did really well.

Lunch fish tacos were amazing! It has a very good vibe and fun atmosphere. Great service and drinks were good.

We came back again. For the most part, another good experience. The kids had some great mocktails, a guava drink and a smoothie. I ordered and conquered the spicy poke bowl again. Comparing the pictures, the portion was not quite as big and the wonton not quite as crispy, but still pretty good. I had some sort of blue Hawaiian drink, which was good. One child had some nice shrimp pasta, although they accidentally brought chicken pasta first. The other had some amazing chicken tenders tossed in the delicious BBQ sauce with some really good fries. The stir fry, on the other hand was a bit bland and lukewarm at best. The view is nice and this place is popular, so making a reservation is probably best on a Friday night before the fireworks. We lucked out and arrived in time to get a spot right away, but a few minutes later we would have had a long wait. Also, I guess the lunch and dinner menu are different, so there was a bit of a disappointment that some food, like the quesadillas were not available. I am also not big with all of the additional added fees. Perhaps it was from pandemic times, maybe just factor them into the food and drink pricing, it would be the same difference anyway. The service was okay, they were accommodating and worked with us to try to put together a meal for someone who had limited options with the dinner menu.

If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Reservations can be made on open table, but there was really no point to doing that since it's open seating during happy hour times. We ended up just picking a table that was in the shade, and noticed they only have their menu by QR code which is kinda annoying. The server was pretty nice tho and he brought my dog some water mid way. Their happy hour runs from 2-6 and the menu is slightly less expensive. The food was kind of standard hotel type of food and nothing really stood out. Otherwise the vibes at the restaurant was nice and i do like that they allow dogs to join you. it seems like they have live music after a certain time. I was even more annoyed and stressed with the valet when i went to pick up my car. They literally just handed me my keys. My car was parked along the wall probably 20 steps away, but they could have at least taken out my car cause it was so hard to get out, but i guess it's nice they trust that i wont bang the car in front of back of me i guess even tho im a pretty terrible parker. at the time they didn't look as busy as when i first arrived, so i dont know why they couldn't have just done the bare minimum with just pulling out my car from the stall.

What we thought was a pawn shop turned out to be... a speakeasy?!…read more What a lovely surprise. A gem of a find! I will never forget this experience. I was just skipping around town exploring wanting to check-in to as many places as I could like the responsible Yelp elite that I am and then I find this amazing hole on the wall speakeasy. The lovely gentleman in the front welcomed us in to take a look around and I asked him if I could take photos for yelp and he told me that if I was going to write a review, I had to join them. So of course, I took the invite and decided to stay for a little while. We sat at a nice area. A perfect little place. I just want to take a snapshot and keep it in my memory so I can emulate it and turn it into my home study. I could stay here forever. The vibes were on point. The server recommended drinks that he thought we would like, and we loved both of them. I don't remember what the drinks were called, but mine had a blueberry taste to it, and my friend had a mock tail, but some sort of Yuzu to it. We also shared a $15 charcuterie graze. 10 out of 10 would recommend being curious and opening doors to finding out that there's a speakeasy randomly in an area you never thought would be there. What an amazing experience.

This spot is the place to be in Waikiki! Definitely make a reservation because this place fills up…read morefast, especially later into the night. What surprised me most was how good the food was for the price. Usually spots with this kind of atmosphere rely on the drinks to carry the experience, but every dish actually delivered. The chicken karaage was crispy and packed with flavor, the beef takoyaki disappeared almost instantly, and the taro chips with mascarpone were such a unique combination. Between the cocktails, food, service, and atmosphere, everything just worked.
