First time here. This place is so awesome! It's packed with people on a Monday night even! I ordered an appetizer, teriyaki steak bites. It was delicious and it like having a big steak! Just cut into pieces. It was a lot I had to take home the leftovers. Then we ordered spinach artichoke dip. Best tasting dip I've ever had!! So delicious! Definitely will come back and get it again!! Lulus is located across from Waikiki beach and the zoo. You can park at the zoo parking lot if your driving. I go here once in awhile. I met up with a friend since he works in the industry and gets 50% off food and drinks on mondays. Its a really good deal if you work in the restaurant industry. They had live music and the musician was playing acoustic covers. I ordered a corona then bacardi and coke for drinks. Oh i forgot, two shots of george clooneys tequila brand casamigos. That is the best tequila i ever had, it goes down smooth. I got hungry and needed to sober up so i ordered the NY sirloin strip steak with mash potatoes and veggies for the sides. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The mashed potatoes are homemade and not the instant junk. I asked for teriyaki glaze on the steak to add flavor. Delicious! The steak is usually $28 but since I got the discount, it cost $14. What a deal! Me and my friends racked up a $240 bill but only paid $120 plus tip! We were celebrating Christmas before we all leave for holidays so dont judge lol. I would recommend this place for food and drinks. The music is great vibes. Lulu's is on the 2nd floor so the scenery is wonderful The food. I recall my breakfasts being good, however, today we opted for a plate of nachos and they were average. On the plus side the foundation of nachos are the tortilla chips and they were good. That said ordered chicken nachos and the chicken was near non-existent. Also very few black beans. Compound that with an over the top amount of raw onions and Id order something different next time. Not to mention an order of nachos and 1 soda was $29.30! With my reviews there is no gray area it's bad or its GREAT. LULU'S earned these stars because of the parties they put on our plates. Again big party so I was able to sample many items from the breakfast menu. The prices were very reasonable considering they're Iin Waikiki, our waitress was very nice and super attentive. The staff stayed on the tables they saw an empty plate the quickly came and cleared it. The portions were out of control, it was so much food we did not think we would make our hike. If you're not starving ask if what you are ordering can be ordered as half order. Our waitress was nice enough to inform my mother in law about this which was great, I HATE wasting food. The leftover we took with us was still delicious after our hike. Hands down will return to sample the rest of the menu. This is a must visit if in waikiki!! read more

Eggs were small, cooked properly. Bacon was ok. Corned beef hash... the potatoes were flavorful, corned beef was a very small portion, tasted ok. The wife had the garden scramble. Might as well be called the Onion Scramble. It came out looking big and delicious, but it was literally a whole (medium to large) onion sliced and thrown into the eggs late. They onion was barely cooked. Except for onion, it was not tasty. There are many other places to try here in Waikiki, and we will, just won't be back here for breakfast... read more

My friend's meal was a chicken sandwich which he said was good. His fries were normal. My meal was very disappointing. I got the "spicy" shrimp plate. They were served peel on which I'm fine with but once I peeled them they had no flavor and were very very overcooked. The macaroni salad tasted only of butter, kind of was weird, like eating a bucket of butter lol, and I got steamed vegetables which were bland and barely cooked. The presentation was not bad but the taste was very disappointing all around. Restaurants don't usually disappoint me but this is a huge skip. They had quite a few dishes to choose from on the menu. We decided on the fish n chips, the burger and chicken wings. Didn't want to be too full so we just got finger foods. The fish and chips were very crispy, not much flavor but the tartar sauce made it a little better. The burger was alright and the chicken wings looks a bit small and dry but it's okay. Food was alright, nothing special. We got some drinks too and they pretty good. The service was a bit slow but it wasn't too bad to complain about. Found this place on a morning walk with my husband. We ate here on Monday for breakfast, liked it so much we came back Tuesday. I had the Garden Isle, lots of veggies scrambled in egg whites. We also had French toast, and two orders of eggs with bacon. All were great. The service was much better on our first visit. On Tuesday, not sure why there were do many delays. One of our entrees didn't come to us until the others were half way through. Usually we wait until everyone is served, but with eggs, its best to eat it hot. So we came here for breakfast one day and it was not crowded. This spot has really nice views of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head. They can take large groups and if there's only 1-2 persons you can sit up against the open window seating and look out - which is very picturesque. Their food is good! I had the loco moco. My husband ordered orange juice and for whatever reason - it didn't taste at all like orange juice. It was as if the orange juice was watered down and tasted awfully bitter...thankfully, they switched it out for POG. But here's why I will likely not pick this spot to go again - and it's not even the restaurant's fault. From the top - where we sat at the open window seating - there was this very clear, distinct smell of URINE. There are so many homeless on Waikiki now that they just have made Kalakaua smell like a portable toilet. read more

I would give this place between three to four stars. Overall: it's not a bad choice, but there are many better options within a short walking distance. We (two adults and one kid) came here for late dinner on New Year's Eve, and there was no line. They gave us crayons and drawing paper, which is good for the kid. We ordered coconut shrimp ($14), prime rib ($32) and loco moco ($15). 15 mins later, all the food was served. Appetizer and entrees were all served at the same time. The server didn't bother to ask who has which entree and left all the food on top of the drawing paper. Food: coconut shrimps are on the sweet side but I think it's delicious. As for the $32 prime rib, the server didn't ask how we'd like it done, so I suppose it comes standard. The steak was a little salty and not juicy. The fat on the steak doesn't spread evenly. The temperature of the steak is colder than how a good steak should be. The rice that comes with the steak is way too salty. We only had one bite of it. Loco moco is ok, nothing surprising. Atmosphere: it's definitely loud at night. There are live bands playing sometimes. You can only see the ocean from one side of the restaurant, so most of customers won't be able to see the view. Service: servers seem very busy. She only checked on us once, which is ok. We don't have any requests. read more

Great spot for nice drinks, yummy appetizers and a great view (especially at sunset!) The pork egg rolls and the nachos (get the half order; a full order is massive!) are wonderful. I actually liked the appetizers more than my main meal (Mac nut pesto). If I went back, I would just order more appetizers to share as a group. They have a great drink selection as well.
