TL;DR - A lot has changed since I've last been here (almost 6 months ago), but def for the better. Solid spicy rice cake restaurant compared to its competitors (I'm pointing at you Jopok Topokki) Parking: It's horrible. Thankfully, I came on a Tuesday night around 5:30pm and there was parking near the tofu place, which never happens. Most likely you would have to park in the back! If you are unfamiliar with this area, go past Yyupduk restaurant (should be on your right) towards the gate and garbage area, take a left turn (the only turn), and you'll see a spacious parking lot! I've only seen it full a couple of times (usually in the weekend nighttime). Ambience/Service: Not a family environment. The music was so loud and personally, I am not sure how long my aging body could take spicy food anymore haha. If you are in your mid-20s or higher, perhaps it may be better to take it to-go and eat it somewhere else? Service was okay. There was an elder Korean lady server who forgot my drink and misinformed about the portion of the rice ball, but the younger servers constantly walked around to serve people! Food: Yup Dduk ($18.00) - tbh, I think this could feed at least 4 people if everyone had a rice ball each (4.00). So, in total it would be around $8.50 for each person excluding tax and tip? Now that I did the math.. this place is more expensive than I thought lol. You could easily get a small portion of spicy rice cake for less than $5 at any Korean market. Anyway, I would most likely to-go this next time. The portion size is pretty decent and the spicy-ness is really addicting! Oh, btw I ordered the challenge (most spicy) level and it wasn't that bad! Paid $65 for five dollar worth of food that we ate. It was terrible never coming back again. I got the luvdukk plate and they didn't ask for any spice level on the plate. It was just a weird place to go too. We got there and we were waiting and they automatically wanted to know our order and did not let us know ahead of time. The parking lot is fairly decent but can get crowded due to several businesses (bank of America, sea food city, jolli bee, etc) The portion sizes for the items are large and serve about 2-3 people tops. My stomach is still burning and I only got mild!!! Like most people I got the Yupdduk tteokbokgi in mild. It's the type of tteokbokgi I love, the type that tastes more peppery from the red pepper flakes rather than the red pepper paste. I would totally come back for more because I don't know how to make tteokbokgi at home with that kind of flavor. Mild is still pretty hot but I was able to handle it after it cooled. The ramen topping is a must to make the most use of that huge basin of sauce! Dipping fried food in the sauce is great too but I ordered the fried seaweed roll ( kim mari) for $2 but there were only 5 tiny pieces with it :/ Maybe it's because it's considered a "topping" rather than a side... They give a cole slaw-esque salad and sweet yellow pickled radish ( danmuji) that helps you cool down, so I don't think you really need something like rice balls to cool you down...unless you're doing the challenge, which I don't understand how ome would do if most people can't even do original..but good luck :) read more

This was our second visit here and we really enjoyed the food both times. Today we ordered the boneless chicken feet with cheese and the tuna mayo rice. The chicken feet were well seasoned and I loved that the dish also had plenty of rice cakes. The melted cheese was poured on top and it was the perfect balance to the sauce. The tuna mayo rice was delicious in its simplicity. The first time we came here, we ordered the ddukboki which they are known for and we enjoyed it although we were too scared to go beyond 2 star spice level.
