Katsu plate cooked perfectly and more than enough for three people. Crispy light and delicious! Fried rice kim chi overloaded with pickled vegetable but kiddo really ate it up. Kick to this dish too beyond the kim chi spices... so beware! Found this place on tiktok and wanted to try it because I'm a HUGE tteokbokki and ramen fan! We walked up to find a bit of people waiting outside. We saw a tablet and add our name to the waitlist. This didn't strike me as odd since it is common to add your name to a waitlist using a tablet for yelp. What struck me as odd was when someone would come out of the restaurant, call a name that's on the waitlist and ask them for their order. Then they'd inform the party to keep waiting and they'll be seated soon. I don't think I've seen a sit down restaurant take food orders before being sat. I would like to say it's probably due to popularity (I've seen a lot of videos on social media) to help make the process easier. It seemed to cause a lot of confusion as not everyone was aware they had to have their order ready before their name is called. We waited a good 45 mins before being sat as a party of 2. Looking at the menu, and I was shocked by the prices of things. $30 for some wings?! I know it's family style but something about the prices just didn't sit right with me...... since the videos and menu photos looked good, we decided to get the tteokbokki, and paid extra for an egg and noodles to be added. When we got our food it looked a bit disappointing and I was unfortunately right.... the food was a bit cold, the egg was over cooked, and the entire meal felt underwhelming.... they hype and the price just was not worth what we got. I was able to get my fill of all my fave Korean snack food and got to try new ones. I absolutely love tteokbokki (I've made it at home before), and this level 2 was the perfect spice and flavor. We also got soondae and rice balls (my first time trying blood sausage and I really enjoyed it!). I was also able to try budae jjigae and it was SO flavorful and savory. Food 10/10 We got the luv dukk with fried chicken combo for four people it was more than enough food and the chicken was the absolute crispiest chicken I've ever had and with the garlic soy sauce it was unbelievable. I think it's because I live in LA and frequently go to ktown for Korean food but this place was subpar in comparison. The spicy chicken with cheese was a little better I would say still super sweet. It seems like they tried compensating the flavor with sweetness or something.
