Excellent pizza - with gluten free and vegan friendly options. The thin crust is delish!

Not the best pizza around, but the price was right but unfortunately the food was about par

I'll start with this...The delivery driver was amazing. He was so courteous that we had gotten into town so late (we were staying at the extended stay by the Long Beach airport) and we had placed an order about 20 minutes before they were closing. Having worked in service before - I didn't realize until AFTER I'd placed the order and felt like such a you know what... Our delivery guy was spectacular, friendly, on top of it and not a single bit upset we had been "those guys" by ordering 20 minutes to close on a Tuesday night. If this were a review for him - he'd get five stars all around. The pizzq however- I was more than underwhelmed with. I'm a pizza fanatic and even bad pizzq is good pizza for me. Unfortunately- this pizza had a weird hint of hot dogs??? I tried so hard adding toppings or ranch. Or heating it up the next day after some sleep thinking maybe I had just been grumpy from lack of sleep. But alas - the pizzq was just as bad if not worse than when it had been delivered. I even tried adding some ranch to dip out the flavor. I don't want to believe the pizzq was that bad. I want to believe that because it was late, they really didn't give a sh!t and just wanted to go home. So I'm not upset. But I hope that for future you may want to consider that someone just getting to a hotel at 10:40 pm might be just as grumpy as you are for someone ordering a pizzq 20 minutes before closing. We're both really just looking for some relief and in my case - a satisfied belly to end the long stressful day. Ps. I think that delivery driver deserves a raise or promotion. I'm Italian and anyone that can make me feel less aggravated about getting pizza that tasted like a cold hot dog deserves a promotion and a marketing position. read more

Not a lot of space to eat there,. My guess is it's more for take out which is good. The cashier was extremely pleasant and helpful with offering suggestions on what we should get. It was my first time there. I had the pesto chicken sandwich and I must say it was pretty tasty. I will be back to try their pizza. Stay tuned for another review... read more

LW is just your classic local pizza joint that gets the job done and delicious. I always appreciate the owners cooking the pizza with and fresh out of the oven from their meats and veggies. What I normally get is their bbq chicken pizza and just swap the cheddar with mozzarella cheese sometimes I ask for extra bbq chicken for a few bucks more but it makes it worth it. The crust is more on the thin side but atleast it isn't soggy on the bottom like I've seen other pizza places the chicken is juicy the onions are grilled and that bbq sauce sweet and just a bit of tang. This pizza is a pretty good deal an xl is just under $25 with 12 good slices it wouldn't hurt to comeby here read more

I've gotten pizza from this location a few times, but I will never order from them again. Who ever they chose to deliver their pizzas are so rude! The delivery woman just demanded I come outside and get my pizza and when I told her I had a baby in my house that I didn't want to leave she immediately got an attitude. She goes to the gate and claims it doesn't work which is false but luckily a neighbor let her in. She then proceeds to come to my door and ring the doorbell and when I didn't answer in 1 millisecond, bangs on it like the police. Invited some friends for a quick bite to eat. My daughter recommended LW Pizza. Must say the two XL pizza's I ordered were very very good. One pizza had a great coupon deal too. This place has great pizza. Im a huge fan of the bbq chicken pizza. Its a neighborhood place and it's always busy. Great take out pizza spot. Not much room inside to eat, but everyone is either picking up or getting delivery; so it doesn't matter. Pizza is standard fare, but they did the proportions perfectly. I order from this location for office parties and they are always late with deliveries. You can order way in advance and you will always be late bringing your food to the party. They should really take the jumbo slice pizza off the menu. It's pre-sliced, pre-sauced and I'm pretty sure they just pop it in a microwave because that's how it tastes. I only live a few blocks away and it was almost cold by the time I got home. When you can peel off the topping as one piece to reveal a painted on layer of sauce.... it's a bad sign. And the bread tastes like cardboard. Practically inedible. My money would have been better spent buying digiorno from the grocery store. read more

We love pastrami pizza and found LW had one we gave them a try and we have never looked back! I've never been inside we have always ordered online. Never had a problem and the pizza is always amazing. You have to try the pastrami pizza ( wish they chopped up the pickles) the other go to favorite is their BBQ chicken ( so yummy!), the chicken enchilada is amazing, tonight we're trying out the Hollywood pizza. This used to be our "go to" pizza for many years. It was located on Clark south of Stearns. Young guy owned it and gave excellent service and product. But he sold the business and quality went down as well as customer service. We eventually stopped ordering from them. Tonite we are pressed for time and decided to try them again. I call and woman asks for phone number and I give my cell number. Then asks my address. OK, I give it. Then I tell her we are in your database but under old landline number. She says yes. I tell her we no longer have that number. "What number you want me to use?" I tell her the cell number I gave you. She says "you say that number not good". You get the point. Back and forth, then I ask to speak with someone else. She hangs up! It's 3:30 pm on a Wed! Not a busy day. I'm tired so wife calls, gives her number, then address. Overpriced undervalued mediocre food. Stopped here to try to support local restaurants instead of having everything delivered during this vivid lockdown. Should have had Togo's delivered. The pastrami was tough, fatty and did not have an acceptable amount of meat on the sandwich for an 11.00 price tag. My husband got the Italian sub lunch special. I can't believe we haven't ever left a review! My husband, David, and I have been going to LW for a few years every week! We love our pizza Friday nights as a family and love the LW family! We pizza "shopped around" for awhile when we moved to the LB area, and ultimately landed at LW and haven't ever looked back. The pizza is delicious (how can you say no to homemade crust made fresh daily?!) and their homemade ranch is drool-worthy. We even moved a little out of the area but still drive 15 minutes every Friday to get their pizza. Jack and Parvin are wonderful owners and very kind people. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. We love the people and the pizza at LW Pizza! read more

Tried this pizza place for a dinner option as we were tired of dominoes. Tried the bbq chicken pizza and a pepperoni/sausage pizza. The pizza was delicious! The bbq chicken pizza was flavored well and and the crust was delicious. Pizza was flavorful and not super greasy. The large was a decent size and for the price it was well worth it. It's been a long time come since I've actually enjoyed the taste of a pizza crust. They really know how to season and bake their pizza here. It might not be as fanciful or as well known as major pizza chains, but the quality really outshines. With their calzones, it's stuffing heaven. I couldn't finish more than half the regular, and you can customize the two toppings inside to your liking and add on anything else for a small price. I ordered a small pizza with all meats and a calzone. Service wise, it's good. They happened to make my calzone a pizza instead, and though I was completely fine either way, they still insisted to make my calzone and apologized for the mistake. The only con I can see is that parking may be limited at times and the shop isn't big enough to seat multiple people who might want to sit and eat. It's not ideal for dine-in, so don't expect to. Do expect delicious pizza though. read more

Close to my daughter's school and she loves having a slice of pizza every now and then. They offer pizza by the slice with any toppings and it appears they make it fresh and it's not just sitting around cold. Delicious and the crust is not soggy. read more

Haters gonna hate! My husband and I tried a lot of pizza places when we first moved to LB. Some places wouldn't even deliver to our house when it was only 3 miles away. We stopped looking after LW pizza. There might be something better out there but I'll prolly never know. It's just really good. That's it. I love the Greek Salad, and the Italian dressing is the best. Seriously, it might not be fancy or serve Micro IPA's but its good pizza. The spaghetti is pretty good too. Solid pizza place a mile south of LGB airport. Stopped by after ordering via Yelp to grab something late at night after my Mom's flight landed. It's obviously a place to pick to go. Not a lot of seating. You'll see the tile sign for LW from Lakewood but the store front doesn't face the street. Lots of parking there, but I could see it filling up when not after hours. I set my pickup for 2145 and it was coming out of the oven at 2140. They boxed it up and handed it to me, no drama. Service wasn't over the top friendly but they were nice enough for ordering an hour before they closed. I checked their menu and there's lots of specials all the time. We got a large thin crust mushroom pizza for $13 with tax requesting light sauce. It was one of the better pizzas we've tried from the Long Beach area. Good crust, plenty of fresh mushrooms. We didn't care for Deno's, Pizzanista, Pizza x 2, Papalucci's, Fat Tomato, Flippin' or Fat Tomato so we've tried a few. We favor Deli News and now this place! Keep in mind this is not wood fired or grilled Neopolitan style. Just get in the mindset of a mainstream American pizza and you won't be disappointed. read more
