Came for the Friday lunch all you can eat and it was pretty much exactly what I expected. $25 for all you can eat is a solid deal, especially in Austin. Food wise, it was above average for AYCE sushi. Definitely not high end, but it had everything I wanted and hit the spot. I ended up eating around 65 pieces so you can definitely get your money's worth. Service was good. The staff were nice and quick to bring out additional orders, which is key for all you can eat. The ambiance was darker and had a nice vibe, pretty chill place to sit and keep ordering.

We stayed at the Aiden hotel that just happens to be attached to this sushi restaurant so he had to stop by. We were able to get in right away on a Saturday evening, and there were lots of tables available. We decided not to have the all you can eat and we just ordered à la carte. But everything was great. We tried the shaggy dog roll, the Machi roll, and I got the chicken teriyaki bento box. Also they have some happy hour options and I got the mango margarita. It was good but not strong.

This place exceeded my expectations. First of all, it was an odd location and it's inside a hotel. I parked on the right side of the hotel door but park on the left side and you can either go through the hotel or the side door on the side. The quality of the sushi surprised me given its location. We got a bunch of sashimi, hamachi appetizer, skinny girl roll, Godzilla roll, and a spicy tuna roll. We got the hamachi 2x because it was so good. I thought the skinny girl roll was good until I tried the Godzilla roll. The Godzilla roll sounds weird but it ended up being one of our favorites. I highly recommend the Godzilla roll. Overall, I was impressed with this place. I would come back! It's a hidden gem.

Who knew all you could eat sushi could be so good! We came in on a Friday night around 7:15pn and the wait was 25-30 min. By the time we were sat it jumped to 45-50! Yikes! This is placated next to the Aiden hotel and you can access via that. Parking was a bit far in the back of the hotel and very tight. Be cautious when driving. The decor was nice and simple very pretty with the pinks! The food was great. Everything came out extremely fast and at the same time. Our table was full of plates! Next time I'd order one or two things, then more later.

Quaint "all-you-can-eat" or ala-cart sushi restaurant attached to the Aiden Austin hotel. Fun, Asian themed atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating. Large (6+) groups will likely need to be split into 2 tables. The service was very friendly and attentive. Since I wasn't supper hungry, I just had a Rainbow Roll. This was good and the ingredients were fresh, but the fish that top the roll were a little thin IMO. I thought prices were reasonable especially for "all-you-can-eat". I'd recommend.

This place is so amazing for the price and service! My colleauges and I have been coming to here for a year now. We were able to experience their one year anniversary when we came last year. I forgot to finish my review. Ambiance is relaxing and this would be a great place for a date with your significant other. For the price of the all you can eat sushi, and everything else you receiving a great value of a deal. You will definitely leave full here if you try everything. I recommend trying this place for your own experience.

My wife and I stopped here for a spontaneous date night while in Austin to pick up a friend's car. I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical walking in, but I was pleasantly surprised. The vibe inside is super lively and the music was actually good. We went all out on the food: Philly, Tokyo, Rainbow, and Skinny Girl rolls. Every single one was great, but the Shaggy Dog was honestly the best I've ever had. Big shout out to our server Ty. He's the goat fr. If you're craving sushi, this is the spot.

What makes Machi Sushi stand out from the other AYCE sushi restaurants in Austin? Is it the super cute decor inside? Or maybe the labubu claw machine? Haha those are just cute things I liked, but actually I think it's the level of service and food quality & variety. The workers were so kind and helpful. Everything came out FAST. I talked with a friend who went there before and he mentioned the same thing. I've been to some AYCE restaurants where they charge you or limit you on nigiri/sashimi. Here, it's included! The only thing you would have to pay extra is bubble tea or cocktails. I love the variety of the menu. Some things were better than others but that's just a personal preference. I believe it shares the same parking lot as a hotel with a giant transformer in front of it, but it's free parking.

Machi Sushi was located about 30 minutes away from our Airbnb in Manor. It was a bit out of the way, but most restaurants were out of the way given where we were staying. It is a pretty big space and had lots of parking. The big appeal for my boyfriend and I's visit was to do All You Can Eat. Since we were here on a Saturday, it was priced $35.95 per person. We were seated right away once we walked in. The table we were seated out was a little chilly. The air conditioning was on a little high. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with taking our orders. For $35.95 per person, the fish quality was not as good as we expected. It could have better, but some of the nigiris just didn't taste right to us. It didn't appear that fresh either. The rolls were a bit better. The ice creams tasted very similar to one another. The only flavor that was distinct was chocolate. The fried ice cream was horrible. It wasn't executed properly. The fried Oreos were suggested by our waitress and those were good at least. Personally, I wouldn't come again for the food here.

Pretty decent selection and quality for an AYCE sushi spot. All of the food was delicious, and I recommend going the sauce route so you can really try a good portion of their menu. The service was fantastic, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left! The interior was very spacious, clean, and had an overall "Instagram-able" worthy aesthetic. Machi Sushi is a sensory explosion - my senses were on overdrive when I walked in. First, sight - the restaurant had a ceiling full of cherry blossoms and red dragons up front. Second, sound was oozing out the restaurant has it was a massive number of folks dining at the restaurant. The part of the restaurant that connected to the Aiden Hotel had at a full seated area with folks also standing. You can also enter from the other side of the restaurant, which had no seats with everyone standing. I do not know what the seating capacity of the restaurant, however, it was at full capacity. My Yelp friends arrived earlier with a projected 25 minute wait. I arrived just when we were being seated. Third, the restaurant reeked of intoxicating smells...making you highly anticipate the meal. Fourth, I touched one of the many flags displayed through out the restaurants, which were hung like papel picado like in a Mexican restaurant but with no holes. Fifth, the taste of the food was quite good...more on that later. Machi Sushi is located on IH-35 South connecting to the Aiden Hotel. It is an all you can eat sushi buffet. Once we were seated we ordered our first set of sushi - for me the 1) Shaggy Dog roll and 2) Machi Crunchy roll...two of the most popular rolls. Of all the food I ate, the Shaggy Dog roll was my favorite. I also ordered spicey edamame...so tasty! My next roll was the cowboy roll along with the teriyaki shrimp and calamari. The shrimp was good but I did not like the calamari at all (to rubbery with lots of breading). We ended our meal with dessert. I ordered the tempura Oreo and green tea ice cream. I had no idea how the fried Oreo dessert was going to turn. It was good...think small puffed pastry where the Oreo inside is soft. The green tea ice cream was amazing...flavorful and smooth with subtle green tea taste...my favorite dish. In addition, I had a lemon drop martini, which was strong yet good. I decided to exit on the same side that friends entered on, where there were two massively large transforms...so super cool. The restaurant was great, but the true joy was visiting with my Yelp friends and getting to know them better. It was fun evening filled with laughter.

This place is AWESOME. Vibes, food, drinks. Look I'm not giving this place 5 stars because it's the best sushi you're gonna put in your mouth, BUT for a $25 all you can eat lunch price featuring a pretty extensive menu - 100% a 5 star worthy review. And truthfully the sushi IS pretty dang good! Definitely better than Kobe's all you can sushi down the road (IYKYK). I got nice and warm with some hot sake (see what I did there), an ice cold Kirin and four phenomenal sushi rolls. Although they couldn't fulfill my request for a wheelchair upon leaving, I left beyond stoked to come back soon read more

It was like HEB sushi? Just ok. But the fun of all you can eat is nice to have the variety. Service also slightly bad in that we waited forever for some sushi, but others came out really fast, so I don't know, it's a draw. $25 for weekday lunch buffet is still a good deal. I didn't feel like I needed to come back but also not opposed if someone else wanted to come try it. Green tea ice cream really good & strong, not too sweet like they mostly are. read more

My wife wanted to go here for our anniversary. There was Long wait at least 1 hour. Where my wife and I were sitting waiting we saw an exiting patron who began heading left word and they proceeded to throw up what they just ate 7 times on the ramp going leftward to the entry. I asked my wife "based off what we just saw are you sure you want to continue waiting?" my wife said yes and we decided to think of this as a person who either ate too much or had a bad mix of things they ate. the ambience inside is welcoming and modern. For an all you can eat menu including sushi the sushi was higher quality than Machi Sushi's competitor "Sushi Junai 2". This by no means that this is the highest grade sushi in Austin, TX by no means either. For what we ate there was a great price to quality value and we would definitely visit again. The wait staff was excellent To me there did not appear to be too much flavor variety between the flavor of different rolls which could be due to the items my wife and I ordered. I will definitely be more adventurous the next time we visit and order different rolls. The Hibachi items, soups, and Gyoza were spectacular. read more

Never had a bad experience here. Servers are quick and anything you get is amazing quality. There's something here for everybody, but if you love sushi this is THE spot. The blue LED lights can be a bit much if you sit right next to a strip, but the food is superb. read more

It's a nice and cozy place to eat the food is ok. You get what you paid for the tuna sashimi is not good taste really bloody. It was not a bad experience for food. But food quality over all is not the best. They also have limited variety of food. The service is good though and fast although there is a lot of errors with our order giving us too much of sashimi but the servers are polite and very nice. Not the kind of place I will always go back with though. read more

The place was really nice, but after sitting about 20 minutes it started to get cold .. it was the AC ,The food was great. It reminded me of trapper sushi. I loved it.@ 35.99 it was great . I would suggest that their wine selection be more refined from target brand or Walmart. more Japanese inspired wines that are red would be good . read more

My husband and boys know how picky I am with sushi (Uchi being my go to for flavor, freshness & service) and an all you can eat sushi restaurant from our previous state I absolutely love and miss (which we have been searching for another equal or close to). Having been to Machi before without me, they showed me pictures & videos of the cool interior here, told me how fresh and clean the place was and so off we went! Wow, we had to laugh at the irony of it all. We were seated in a narrow converted patio that was possibly the outside of the building, with dirty & badly chipped walls. Quite noticeable, several waiters/waitresses had very, very dirty black aprons and a dirty dishes cart was placed behind/next to me on the tight wall where I could smell the mashup. I knew I would not be eating raw sushi here...ha. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box and we all agreed, as they tried mine, the restaurant must not make much chicken as it was rubbery and sad, the rice was hard & even the Miso soup was mushy and gritty. I stole a slice of one of my husband's rolls, sushi pieces just to be sure - subpar w/little flavor. My silver lining was our wonderful waiter, who was just so attentive on drinks and service. Very large, busy place and, especially with how much my boys & I laughed, a fun time and energy about this place! read more

We tried the lunch ayce menu. Try to focus on sushi only, so only ordered one special roll. Sushi quality is ok. The good thing is they didn't put a lot of rice, so you won't feel too full after eating it. I like salmon and surf clam the most. Hubby like mackerel the most. We also ordered house chicken wings (which is very flavourful and crunchy, my son ate 2 by himself). Popcorn chicken is way too salty. Potsticker and fired calamari is the frozen one, so can skip it. Salmom skin handroll has way too much rice inside. You can order 20 pieces of sushi at a time. you need to wait until you finish all to get another 20 pieces. Which we love our server-David. He is so sweet and pay attention to us. He keeps come back to our table to check on us and help us to get the new order fast. Every time I said thank you, he always reply my pleasure with big smile! Love the bumblebee outside the restaurant. In the restaurant, I would sugges turningn down the music a little bit.It's kindd of too loud for my opinion. Overall, food is 4 stars, but our spectacular sever David makes it to 5 stars! Will be back to try dinner menu for sure! read more

JONAH!!! The name of the best server I've EVER had!! We always like to have a fun time with our servers on date night and he nailed it. Checked up on us at good times no matter how busy it was. He also gave us the best suggestions for sushi. The food?? Amazing. My date and I both love sushi and our 4 rolls were SO good. This placed ripped me off! They wanted to charge me 27.00 per person if 6 or more at table. My boyfriend and I wanted to order only al la carte so in order to have them not charge us 18% we moved to an adjacent table. We paid both tabs . The still added 18% to the table of 4. We got to airport and I happened to check our bill. They still added an 18% to table of 4 and we got screwed out of eating with our grandchildren and their parents. NEVER AGAIN. The food wasn't worth 5.00. 40.00 in tips. So screwed. read more

Some dishes were great. For the price you pay for AYCE it is very fair. But you have to go with a group to share because you will not be able to try different things with just 1 or 2 people. NO WASTE. All there portions are small but with rolls they come out from 6 to 10 pieces. You ever feel full. Ur not satisfied? I will list all the dishes I believe were tasty . I came here for the all you can eat sushi and it was really good! The restaurant was pretty and they had very attentive staff members. I think my only complaint might be that the sushi rolls were not presented super neatly or pretty, but that didnt impact the taste so its no big deal! Id say its worth the price and a nice occasional place to go if you are someone who loves sushi. The ice cream was also good! read more

Saturday December 28, 2024, at around 1:30 pm, driving in from Leander, My daughter and I were excited to visit and were very hungry. We sat down and the hostess gave us our menus. I saw that the hostess gave us the dinner menus. I asked the waitress why she gave us the dinner menus for lunch? She said, for Saturdays and Sundays, we only do the dinner menus and we can also give you the ala carte menu. I told her that I didn't see this online and it doesn't mention this on the website. I felt that this was wrong and I thought about it and we decided to leave. The many pictures of the lunch menus I saw online said that the lunch price is from Monday to Saturday 11am to 3pm. The difference from $24.95 for lunch and $35.95 for dinner was enough for me to say no thank you. Please make a note of this if you plan on visiting this place. I'm not sure if I'll return. read more

We visited here for a late lunch/early dinner and enjoyed the all you can eat. We ordered hot tea along with our meal. Probably would skip that next time we get a chance to go again. Service was ok. We were seated in an area that when it's early, you are easily forgotten. When dinner started picking up our waiter remembered us. Decor was decked out in Japanese-inspired scenery and some modern design. Closest I've seen to anything remotely Japanese in quite some time. Looking forward to returning. read more

So sad that this did not live up to our expectations, service when you enter is great and when you see everything it's so beautiful, Sadly we got sat in a location that was hidden and by a bus cart. We didn't let that affect us and enjoyed the time we had there. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't it I understand you maybe fully booked but please understand food, especially $40 a person all you can eat, is a very important thing. The shrimp tempura we had was undercooked and the sushi warm,definitely not worth $40 a person with raw warm fish. I genuinely wouldn't recommend and I definitely won't be coming back sadly. read more

2/5 Stars - Weird Vibes and Unexpected Charges We had such a strange experience at Machi Sushi that I had to leave a review. First of all, when we arrived, the hostess silently walked us to our table--no menus, no greeting, nothing. We just sat there, confused, until we noticed a QR code on the table. Okay, maybe the menu is online? But then I looked around and saw other tables had actual physical menus, so now we're just sitting there wondering if someone's going to bring us one or at least explain how things work. Spoiler: they didn't. Eventually, my husband went back to the hostess to ask about menus and how the All-You-Can-Eat setup works. Instead of explaining anything, she just moved us to a different table--again, without saying a word or giving us a menu. At this point, we're fully in mystery dinner mode. Finally, a server came and explained how the AYCE system works. We placed our order and tried a variety of rolls. As it goes with AYCE sushi, you order a bit of everything. A couple of rolls we didn't like, so we only ate one piece of each. Then I noticed the server was giving us weird looks--like we were doing something wrong just by not finishing what we didn't like. Later, my husband ordered dessert, and the waiter commented something like, "Damn, also a dessert?" Kind of passive-aggressive, honestly. We shrugged it off, but when we asked for the check, he informed us there would be a leftover charge. When we asked how much, he said between $10-$20. We said okay, but I did speak up and told him that we weren't informed about any leftover charge upfront. His response? "It's written on top of the menu." ...The same menu we were never given. Look, I get that restaurants want to minimize waste, but the lack of communication was a big problem here. If we'd known there was a charge, we obviously wouldn't have ordered so much. I've never left a bad review before because I don't think it's necessary but I feel like people should be warned. I'm so sad because I was so excited to try this place with my friends, but the experience overall was so disappointing :( The biggest problem was the service. Our server came and got our first round of orders, and throughout the course of 20 minutes, everything was being delivered. Our server didn't come back until another 20 minutes had passed, and our table had been cleared for a while because we finished everything. Throughout our whole dinner our server kept missing orders we'd put in, she missed about 10 different things we ordered over the course of dinner. We were missing rolls, appetizers, sashimi, and more. One of my friends ordered 6 different single sashimi and as he was ordering he would wait for confirmation to continue his order, taking his time so that the server wasn't overwhelmed with the amount, and he still never received it. When he asked our server about it she went through her tablet and claimed he never ordered it, even though 6 other people at our table clearly heard him place the order. I ordered a soda halfway through our meal and I asked three different times if the server was bringing it, the first time she laughed and said she was sorry and she'd have it out immediately, but I didn't get it until an hour later we were paying for our meal and she had to give it to me in a to go cup, which pretty much defeated the purpose of me ordering it while I was still eating. The place has a nicely decorated interior, and the sushi isn't bad. I had such high hopes for it, but there are definitely better AYCEs besides this one. If it hadn't been for my friends it would've been a miserable experience as the service was really lacking. My guess is our server didn't care to check on us much since we were a group of 7 and she was going to receive the automatic gratuity anyways. read more

I was excited to try out this new AYCE sushi spot. After reviewing the menu online (see attached image FROM BUSINESS OWNER) I had set a reservation for 12:00pm Saturday. My girlfriend and I walked in and were seated right away and given dinner menus. "Why the dinner menu? Do you not have lunch here? I saw online that the lunch menu was a little bit different and about $10 cheaper for lunch on Saturdays" I asked. Our server seemed very confused at my question, even when I showed him the menu I found online. "No, we only have the dinner menus on weekends" he replied. I was not very happy with this interaction and promptly left the restaurant. I totally understand if there was a typo on the menu, but a restaurant fresh onto the scene like this one should be more mindful of what they are showing online (or at least honor what is shown in pictures posted by the OWNER), as people might have different expectations walking into the restaurant, like I did. I was not upset about the price, but the interaction as a whole left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I'll come try this place later on once they've figured some things out first. read more

This is the only place that I have been to have this party going on for each dish. Overall I like this place better than its sister restaurant Uchiba. I'll be going to Uchiko soon to determine my favorite of the three but Uchi is at the top so far.

Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

In reality, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable despite the fans, and there were pigeons constantly flying around the tables, which wasn't the relaxing brunch atmosphere we were hoping for. Service was fine...nothing exceptional, but no major issues either. I'd come back for the food, but I'd definitely wait for an indoor table next time. The kitchen delivered, but the outdoor dining experience made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal.

Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. We just had such a fantastic experience - everything..the vibe..the red light fixtures and the color of the booths and the floor..the service - our server was great..loved their outfits..really had an old school little italy feel to it. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint. I have never been a fan of Negronis but the one at Sammie's changed my life! I order them everywhere I go now searching for that Sammie's Negroni high but nothing comes close to it. There were so many new dishes that caught my eye, but I immediately gravitated toward the Creamy Crab Curry and it was absolutely the right choice. Honestly, it's the kind of meal I could see myself ordering every week. My partner went with the Lost Recipe, which looked just as delicious. You can never really go wrong with fried chicken, and this version certainly didn't disappoint. The service was equally impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive and checked in regularly throughout the meal. She even brought us a complimentary crab pastry to try, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. One thing to note this place gets busy, especially during lunch so plan accordingly. That said, the food and service are well worth it and the menu is reasonably priced. Kiin Di has successfully made the jump from food truck to full-service restaurant and it's definitely earned a spot on my regular rotation.

Machi Sushi offers a fun and fancy sushi buffet with a variety of options, especially the hibachi choices, which were enjoyable. However, the fried food wasn't great--the fried chicken was bland, and the tempura was undercooked. The service was attentive but somewhat disorganized, likely because the restaurant is still new. Our waiter checked in frequently but forgot water and napkins, even after several requests. The ambiance is unique, with a dark setting that has a cool glow-in-the-dark vibe, but the space feels a bit crowded with multiple tables packed closely together. The narrow aisles caused frequent bumping between the food robot and people. While the robot is capable of delivering multiple orders, they only placed one order on it at a time, which slowed down service. Machi Sushi Review I recently dined at Machi Sushi and was immediately taken by the beautiful ambiance, featuring lovely floral designs that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a perfect spot for a relaxed evening out. The appetizers truly stood out; the spicy edamame was a delightful treat with just the right kick, and the gyoza were perfectly crispy and flavorful. However, the main dishes left much to be desired. The chicken wings tasted reminiscent of Popeyes and sushi rolls were overpowered by the fillings, which was disappointing given the expectations for sushi cuisine. I had a great experience at Machi Sushi with the all-you-can-eat option. The quality of the fish was really good, especially for an all-you-can-eat spot. The nigiri was my favorite. It was incredibly fresh and definitely stood out to me from other places. Most of the rolls were delicious, though there was one I didn't enjoy as much, but that's just personal taste. The fried Oreo with ice cream for dessert was a great way to end the meal. It was warm, crispy, and paired perfectly with the cool ice cream. Service was fast and efficient. The ambiance of the restaurant was also really nice. It felt very comfortable and inviting with the dimmed lighting. We went to Machi Sushi for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. It's an all-you-can-eat style where you order directly with your server, and everything is brought straight to your table. Recently was invited to the restaurant. It was a little hard to find, tucked behind some other buildings. The Sushi was top notch for an All-You-Can-Eat location. I have had better, but this was very good. Loved the sculpture outside of the restaurant. The waitress was very good and kept bringing us dishes in a timely manner until we were satisfied. The Tempura Twinkie was much better than I expected. I went on a weekend, so it cost a little more. I think that the weekday menu had most of what I wanted. I will be coming back. read more
