Super cool place that we will definitely visit again soon. The menu is super simple and the prices are amazing. The wait staff was absolutely awesome. We went on a 105 day, so it was hot in there. Note there is no central air, so pick your day wisely. The soup is a solid 5 stars for sure and next time we will bring some home. The prime rib was good, though very light on the seasoning - which is ok as you can add salt and pepper - but don't expect blow you away taste. The drink was good. We hadn't been to this place in YEARS, but had occasion to go for dinner recently. Honestly, I don't think the prices have changed in all this time! Go well before you want to eat! This place doesn't take reservations, and it will be PACKED! One other important note: they are a cash only operation. No checks, no cards. There's an ATM on premises, though. Food is truly served family style: the very short menu displays entrees only. Your meal will come with bread, a wonderful minestrone, a respectable salad, pasta and steamed vegetables. Everything is good (though we thought the vegetables were a trifle over-steamed). We had the rib eye, which was very good, and properly prepared to order we were a group of eight, so we can also confidently recommend the salmon, the prime rib and the Caesar salad. The wait staff is incredibly efficient, and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Now, the most remarkable part: the prices. You will be hard pressed to find a full sit down dinner of this quality at these prices. Our entire rib eye dinner was $15.95, and it's the second priciest option on the menu! In the mood for a cocktail? Drinks here start at just $3.50. While the restaurant was packed when we came, our table (for 8) was ready relatively quickly. For the price you pay here, you can't beat it, not even your local franchise diners. For $13.95, you get a prime rib (it's about 10 oz. to 12 oz.), side salad, steamed vegetables, and some pasta. Even with rising food prices it's amazing how little they raise their prices (Iast time I was here I think I paid $12.95 for a prime rib diner) For the price you pay, and the excellent food quality, there's no reason to go anywhere else. Don't expect any fancy cocktails but the ones they make they make it good. I went for my favorite Mai Tai and it doesn't disappoint (and it's only $5.00!!!). Can't really say how the food is, I went is solo and sat at the bar to eat. I asked for a menu and the bartender told me that I can't eat at the bar. When he came back I told him that I would just get my food to go, and asked for a menu again. He told me that they don't sell food to go. ?? How do people like this place?!? I've been waiting to come here for six years based on all the hype and I left not understanding it. Yes, this place is good compared to a frozen dinner, McDonalds, or gas station food, but wow - our meal was spectacularly terrible. When we walked inside, we had no idea where to sit or wait. After waiting for about 10-15 minutes, a waitress sat us in the back of the restaurant. It was very packed for a Thursday night - surprisingly so. I was very excited to try this place out. My wife ordered the prime rib dinner and I ordered the 10 ounce rib eye. The waitress brought out some bread and butter which was the only good thing about this entire meal. The bread was light, airy, and delicious. Then she brought out a giant bowl of vomit...I mean soup. It was just awful - tasted like a cross between chef boyardee and hunts tomato sauce with little bits of dog food. The salad, if you could call it that, was nothing more than wilted crap drenched in Italian dressing. They put a slice of salami on it because that's supposed to make it more palpable? Gross. Our main dinner arrived with pasta, steamed or boiled frozen veggies, and the worst prime rib and ribeye we've ever had. My ribeye was pure fat and maybe 30% edible and was absolutely drenched in butter, or grease - I'm unsure. This place is memorable for all the wrong reasons. Probably the worst meal I've had on this side of the Delta. Someone told me I had to try this place if I moved out here. Little did I know they meant I was going to get a culinary hazing! Come here if you have no taste buds, enjoy large portions of dog food, or just for the nostalgia. You can't go wrong if you order the bread and butter though! read more

The wait time sucks, you're looking at least 45 minute wait. There is maybe 20 tables max at this establishment. It's not a huge place, it's a small house! So the wait time is to be expected and we fed 3 adults and 4 kids for around $80 (kids 8 and under). We ordered 2 prime ribs, 1 ribeye steak and 1 salmon also 2 adult drinks were ordered. The food might not be the best you will ever have. But it's good enough and the price is amazing! You won't be going home hungry. I like things on the saltier side. The salmon was amazing to me and my 7 year loved it so much she insisted I trade with her for her half of the ribeye. What keeps you coming back is the price and how much food you get. read more

As advertised; that'll be the quick summary for this place. $15 for steak, pasta, veggies, salad, soup and bread? You got it, and none of those items are skimped over. The soup was thick, the bread was fresh and warm, the salad has a nice combination of different vegetable options and a small slice of salami on top, the pasta was saucy and of good texture, the veggies were juicy and the steak was well-cooked. Nothing fancy and no, this shouldn't be compared to a high class steakhouse or even a regular steakhouse when it's cheaper than even a chicken rice in SF.
