Chicken dumpling soup: not that good
    Adrienne D.

This place really depends on the cook. Some of their cooks are really good and some are terrible. I wish I knew who cooked that filet mignon because I would not come back based off of that meal. The other meals have been pretty good but this last meal left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. I don't like restaurants with this much inconsistency. The servers are nice, the restaurant is always clean and well bussed, but the food is too much of a hit or miss for me. I would honestly skip this place and go to Silver 2Nugget's Wrangler Cafe.

I've only been here once, but I know well enough that many of these casino cafes are a hit or miss. This one was more on the hit side, but not by a stretch. We came in for lunch and got the prime rib special. For the price, it was real good actually. But it was overcooked a bit. We got fries on the side with ranch and was delicious. They have soup of the day and it did not disappoint. This is definitely one of those place that you get what you pay for. Portions are great and the flavor was good.

Breaded Shrimp dinner w/baked potato, an (off the menu item) was impeccable!

Went about 2 weeks ago on a Thursday. I ordered their (off the menu item), Breaded Shrimp dinner and it was amazing. Their food is always good here, except they're in dire need for remodelling and refreshing they're surroundings inside the Coffee Shop's dining area from the cigarette smell. The shrimp was perfect and the baked potato was the best I've had in a long time? I'll post a pic on here. Their salad is as best as you can get. It's such a shame cos their food & service is so impeccable! The waitress, Barbra is a darling of a person. People come by to thank her.. Everyone in their staff, buss boys, etc. were very respectful, kind & attentive. I was very impressed, but she sure seemed like a dedicated waitress for sure! I went alone as usual, which can seem sometimes, kind of awkward, but I really truly enjoyed my dinner out! Maybe the food being so good, I can't believe that by the end I had overlooked the smell?

T-bone and chicken fingers, this whole meal cost 14.02

This place is fabulous! The outside of the casino doesn't look like much at all but oh my, the food is the best. The prices are amazing. A 16 oz t-bone steak is just 6.98 and prime rib 3.98. These are for full meals. The chicken fingers are 5.99 and are far superior to any fast food fingers you can find. All around GREAT food, excellent prices and friendly atmosphere!

Mashed potatoes with green beans (cafeteria style) and end cut prime rib! Yum!

The waitlist said 2 hours and when we got there the hostess said 20 more minutes. At the 25 minute mark he said another 30 minutes. My daughter had the chicken fried steak which was huge and her baked potato was a large steakhouse potato like a baked potato should be. She took a doggie bag. Sadly my experience was a total miss. I had the porterhouse which I asked for medium rare and it came close to well done. The baked potato I got looked like a small russet potato from a bag out of a grocery store, that's how small mine was. Why the inconsistency in potato's is unknown and sad. All baked potato's should be the same but not here. I did send my steak back and asked for rare in hopes it would be cooked properly this time. Sadly, what should have not been long was a good 20 minutes until a manage brought it back. By the time it came back everyone was done eating and I didn't even want it at this point, so it went straight into a box and came home. It looked like it was cooked better this time but it really doesn't matter because it's going to the dogs. What should have been a good Father's Day meal and experience was a let down. Our server Shelby was good, she worked her butt off and tried hard but sadly the kitchen dropped the ball. The redo of my steak was put at the bottom of the list of orders so my meal last night was a roll, a few cheese fries and onion pedals my daughter ordered, the green beans I ordered as a side and a little (literally) baked potato. I had a gift card that I used so no need to rush back here. Truly a very disappointing experience this round.

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.
