They improved! The donuts were light, airy. Pink and maple frosting beat the chocolate.

Cozy little donut shop that also has breakfast sandwiches. I've never met a sugar twist that I can say no to getting. The donut had a nice rise but it tasted like old oil. I probably just grabbed it on a bad day and plan to come back and try again along with their breakfast sandwiches. Nice service. Outdoor seating. Please come and create your own adventure.

They need to work on their oil being fresher for the buttermilk donuts but most of all dont sell milk that is past due. Its 5/31 and the best by date 5/27 took few sips and wondered why tasted weird and then saw date. Not worth $12 for three donuts and bad milk. Bummer for special treat

Great donuts. I'm a big fan of their savory croissants, specifically the ham cheese jalapenos one. Bring cash for a discount. Quick speedy service. It's grab and go with no seating inside. Parking is easy during the week but a mess on the weekend bc of the shopping center

Sweet and salty bacon donut! Store was very hot and had flies flying around. Fast service.

As you can see the box was stuffed with donuts, and we tried them all. Kat's graveyard at the top

One of my friends discovered an app that allows you to purchase food that is going to be tossed, and we found Mag's on this app. For $10 dollars we got a mystery box of donuts, and we decided to try them all mukbang style. First and foremost, the worker was very helpful (showing us how to work the app, etc), and they had the box ready to go as soon as we got there. I was not expecting the service to be that quick, so that was lovely. Now onto the donuts: I want to say that all of these donuts were tried late at night, and so I took into account that they were probably better in the morning (fresher!) Despite this, the dough on the majority of them was still very fluffy, and none of them were noticeably "stale". My friends and I each had a bite of every donut, and in the interest of saving time, I'm just going to highlight our favorites. Myself: The Cronut was unexpectedly my number one. It was the perfect mix of not too sweet/not too savory and was just fantastic. The texture and layering were perfect, and I loved the glaze. Just delicious. I also enjoyed the apple fritter (Classic) and the basic powdered sugar twist. My friend Marco lauded the quasi-cinnamon roll, which we all agreed was quite good, as well as the apple fritter (Good choice, Marco!). My other friend, Kat, was a big fan of the cinnamon sugar twist, as well as the glazed bar. We all agreed that the selection in the mystery box was varied and well-rounded, fitting for people with differing tastes. I also want to shout out the raspberry-filled croissant; low expectations for that one, but good. We will most likely come here again. Thanks, Mags!

Egg sandwich tasted like chemicals - definitely not fresh.

Their donuts are good, but I ordered a $14 breakfast croissant and it was disgusting. The eggs tasted like chemicals. It had a strong aftertaste. I've ordered breakfast sandwiches from plenty of donut shops and have never had this experience. I'd stick with their donuts and not order their breakfast sandwiches.

Wow the ham and cheese with jalapeños croissant was delicious. It is pretty substantial. The croissant is buttery and flaky. The ham and cheese and jalapeños are perfection. Will be coming back for more.

I came here today to pick up a too good to go order and was pleasantly surprised at their selection. The food options was really good and I would totally come back but was really into the donut selections. Everything looked and tasted great! The person who helped me was very sweet and friendly and asked for any food allergies before making the box, very mindful very cutesy! The shop is small but inviting.

Overall great donuts and service. I had a croissant breakfast sandwich. It was huge! The gal behind the counter did a great job with my sandwich. It was very filling. The croissant itself was large and flaky . I also got an apple fritter.. my ride or die donut. Lol. Extremely crispy with just the perfect sugar glaze. Will definitely return when I'm in the area.

    Samantha W.

Donuts were unfortunately quite stale. The cronut was not crisp at all - it was weirdly soft. I didn't like that the bacon on the maple bacon cronut was sugared/caramelized because it was way too much sweet on sweet. The old fashioned was overly dry. Nice location but the donuts were unfortunately not very good. The service was also kinda awkward uncomfortable. Maybe the donuts weren't so great because it was later in the day but I don't think that should justify serving stale goods to paying customers.

Ask the Community - Mag's Donuts & Bakery

Can I place an order for a future date or is it day of ordering only?

    Any gluten free and vegan?

Called and asked, they do not have gluten-free or vegan donuts

Are there donut holes without cinnamon as my Friend is allergic to cinnamon and I would like to avoid getting anything with cinnamon?

Yes, they have glazed donut holes

Are there any gluten free donut options?

(2/27/19) I saw a sign for another Mag's location opening up in the Quail Hill shopping center, off Sand Canyon. Do you have a date on when that new location will open?

Hi, we are under construction and will be opening 2019 summer. Thank you!

    Are there vegan donuts available?

Hi Ian, Sorry not at this time but please check back middle of 2019 year when we will test new…

    Any gluten free options?

    Sorry not at this time

Are there gluten- free options here?

Hi sorry not at this time! But we hope to very soon!

May I find Halal donuts that is 100% alcohol free (vanilla contains alcohol) or any ingredients derived from pork?

I have no idea. You should call when they open and ask them about that specifically.

When will Mags be open again. It's been too long.?

Very soon. Just going through Inspections. City is giving us quite a bit of trouble. Look out for our re-grand opening specials we will post on Yelp, Instagram and Facebook. Thank you for your patience.

Does anyone know when Mag's will be open again?

They will reopen mid October 2017.

I found the inside decor a bit unexpected, the green walls, the dark vibe with gold accents. It reminded me of a chic lounge or den. I was happy to see they sold drinks and baked goodies. I wasn't in the mood for coffee or a drink, but decided to check out the sweet treats. I was so excited they had Portuguese egg tarts. I am very familiar with the Asian egg tarts, but I haven't had the Portuguese kind. I was eyeing up the banana pudding, but I decided to not get it. Prices seemed a bit high so we just went for 4 egg tarts. We relaxed a bit while our order was ready. They warmed them up, I decided to try one since I am not from this area. MY, oh MY, oh my!!!!!!!!?!!!!!?!!?!!! They were so good, the outside was super flakey, not greasy. The egg center was warm, not too 'eggy' and the sweetness level was just perfect. They were honestly to die for. I contemplated for a few minutes to BUY MORE even though I had only eaten one. I thought, I'm not from this area, so I might as well get more! I ended up getting 5 more, each tart leans on the expensive side for how small they are, but they are mighty delicious!!! I also decided to try the sea salt chocolate chip cookie: Classic Cookie. Traditional components with a dash of sea salt to accentuate the taste of rich imported Belgian chocolate Egg tarts: 5/5!!!!! Honestly when I put in my 2nd order, I couldn't help myself to tell the people behind me how dang good the egg tarts are... They told me they ended up getting some just because I mentioned it.. The salted chocolate cookie looked different to me, it is shaped like a mound. I thought this was good, full of chocolate and the sea salt was good. Would I order it again? Maybe, maybe not. 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food: 4/5

It advertises itself as a more premium pastry brand and I don't mind paying a little more for quality pastries. For this last trip, it sorta fallen off a cliff for me. I got their cream puffs this past weekend and I was gravely disappointed. It had labeled a use date of 7/14/26 when I bought it on 7/11/26. I tried it with my wife today on 7/13/26 and the cream tasted sour... Wait, what? How??? Why??? We wondered whether it was a "new" flavor or something and realized that no, this just went bad. Granted that you are paying $12 for 6 of these, for $2 each puff this is not really acceptable at all. Sure, I called the store and they refunded me this purchase. By letting them know that they should probably throw away the rest of this batch, will this happen? The store clerk told me so, but who knows? The fact that you have to question premium stores really puts a sour taste in your mouth. It does make you wonder whether to come by again in the future or not. And that's on top of whether to trust any of the labels they provide or not....geez...

The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle.
