Wonderful matcha spot in Arcadia, with easy free street parking. I've tried the London Fog matcha latte (comes with foam) and strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. The matcha isn't bold or have much unami, but it's earthy, not bitter, and pairs well with your flavor of choice. I think casual matcha drinkers would enjoy the taste. There is ample seating and the cafe is clean and minimally decorated. Staff is also friendly. Look forward to trying another one of their matchas on my third visit!
Great matcha spot in the heart of downtown Arcadia. The space has a really nice modern, minimalist feel, everyone was super friendly and made great recommendations. Everything was pretty perfect! We got the strawberry matcha and the cold brew jasmine matcha milk tea. Both were really good! Definitely adding this to my list of spots to come back to.
I've been loving matcha instead of coffee and was happy to see a beautifully renovated matcha business opened up on Huntington Dr. They really are doing what they advertise on social and hand-whisk each order to deliver the best matcha drink. I got a Matcha Latte (Matcha w/ Milk & Agave) with Salted Cream Top for myself and a Hojicha Einspanner (Hojicha Latte, Agave, and Signature Salted Cream) for my fiancé. Both of the drinks were delicious with the my regular Matcha Latte giving my morning a quick kickstart with it's bright green earthy taste, and the Hojicha latte a toasty, warm, and smooth pick-me-up kind of feeling. I would get both drinks again and again! On my first sip, I was already texting my matcha-loving friends to give Maicha Matcha a try. Their menu is pretty extensive and I saw the team members even making matcha with fruit juices like their Mango Passion Matcha Spritz or their Strawberry Matcha Latte; these are definitely menu items I want to try the next time around! If you don't get lucky with a parking spot on Huntington Dr, just circle around on Santa Anita Ave and turn into the lot in the back. Plenty of parking spaces available and they have a back entrance as well. Their team members are all friendly and helpful with explaining the menu items since it was our first time there. They were completed with both our drinks in less than 10 minutes! I'll definitely come back here when I am feeling like a matcha again!
Ordered the jasmine MT matcha latte and the hojicha latte, total was about $20. The jasmine matcha was just okay, more jasmine MT forward and the matcha did not stand out. The hojicha was good and would recommend. The shop is cute and very minimalist/clean.
The matcha quality here isn't the best - it has a lingering bitterness and is astringent on the tongue. It's very caffeinated and the lack of smoothness is covered by syrups. With that being said, my london fog matcha latte was alright. Not really worth $7.25 but I like the cafe and the ambiance / vibe- it's a nice spot to get work done. I like that there's a restroom and I love their minimalist decor. I'll probably be back to try their other drinks and work from here again.
One of my new favorite matcha spots! I've been here quite a few times, usually as I head into work. When I stopped by over the weekend, it was packed! I've tried a variety of their drinks, from their matchas to their coffee. My favorite and go-to would have to be the Strawberry Matcha Latte. The flavors blend in really well. Most drinks you can adjust to half sweet which I find is perfect. They make everything to order as well. A little high on price, but worth the quality and flavor. Easy to find parking as well. It's a quaint shop to work or hang out, if you're looking for that vibe.
Ok Maicha Matcha has quickly climbed up my go to matcha spots and is now sitting as my #1 in the entire SGV. Their special promo banana pudding double matcha is heaven in a 16fl oz cup. The staff shared it's a labor intensive drink to make the banana pudding and I just want to thank the staff for 1) making it 2) we taste the love and soul you poured in.
Great spot for matcha, Hojicha, a select variety of viet coffee. My favorite is their matcha with strawberry or their brown sugar hojicha latte. Not too sweet which is great. Their sesame hojicha is also great and comes with two mochiballs. They also have some limited pastries. My favorite is their Matcha white chocolate cookie with mochi pieces inside.
Such a nice matcha spot! First thing I noticed was how cool it was inside (the AC was great). The cafe was very clean, the workers were super friendly, and the seats were comfy. They also have restrooms which is a plus. Parking was easy as well! there is a large parking lot in the back. I got a double coconut matcha, and it was yummy with a strong matcha flavor. I like that you can customize the sweetness and ice level to your preference. Overall, great place to grab a drink, study, or relax for a bit.
Carrying the last name of matcha was such attention stealer, but at same time setting the expectation high. The place was well-lit and somewhat giving that clean impression being mostly white-themed. They obviously carried different kinds of matcha drinks. Feeling like going for something basic today, I opted for their Matcha Latte with almond milk while my husband went for their London Fog Matcha which was a blend of matcha and house earl grey syrup, and came in larger size. Ice and sweetness level were customizable. They were decent but I somewhat felt they're tad creamier than I expected. The London Fog Matcha might suit you if you loved earl grey and just wanted a hint of matcha in the drink. Prolly would go with Matcha cortado next time!
(+) London Fog Matcha Latte (+) Strawberry Matcha Latte Maicha Matcha is a coffee/match spot that opened recently in Arcadia. Parking is easily accessible behind the building. There are two entrances in the front and back. The shop is known for being open because the tables are spread out, with plenty of natural light. A great place to chat with friends, or to get some work done. Whole, oat, and almond milk are your choices for your drinks. Sugar and ice levels can be adjusted. Drinks: I've tried the London fog and strawberry matcha lattes. I liked the London fog better, but not by much. The earl grey syrup prepared was great tasting. The matcha here is creamier than most other matcha places. It is quality matcha but texture is something I noticed. Depends on how you prefer but definitely give it a try. The servers are helpful with ordering and very friendly. I will be back and love the convenience of running in and out in a timely manner.
One of the best matcha lattes I've had in Arcadia! I got the London Fog Matcha Latte and the Coconut Cream Coffee. Wow, you can really tell they use high quality matcha. It just hits differently. I also love the interior. It's super clean and inviting, and there's plenty of space to relax. Parking is easy too. There's a parking lot behind the building, plus street parking right out front. The downtown location is so convenient. This is definitely going to be my go to matcha spot whenever I'm in the Arcadia area!
My wife and I can't stop coming back to this spot. In her words, she says this is probably the best matcha she has ever had in the 626. I ordered the matchacanno since I really wanted to taste more of the natural sweetness and earthy flavors of the matcha. I honestly say these guys have yet to disappoint me. They didn't shy out from the matcha. They also had a few pastries that were out, but the kind lady was willing to make more for us. We really appreciate the service of going above and beyond. We are forever big fans.

I tried the double matcha and the black sesame tangyuan hojicha. I liked the hojicha more, it had a nutty flavor and was slightly sweet. The tangyuan was my favorite part, but I could get those in the frozen section of any Asian supermarket. The matcha was a bit disappointing. It wasn't sweet and the matcha cold foam wasn't creamy, and the drink just didn't have much flavor. Beautiful, thoughtfully designed cafe with a bright, minimal interior, but it tends to be a little chilly in there. There are three tables, a window bar seating, and a cute couch corner with very cute decor. The entrance from the front is gorgeous, and there's also a back entrance from the parking area with an accessible ramp. Parking from front might be difficult, I'd recommend parking in the back for easier access. Service was wonderful, very attentive staff and everything moved quickly even during the soft opening. Drinks were a highlight. The matcha is thick, high quality, and hand-whisked to order. The strawberry matcha and jasmine matcha latte were both perfectly balanced--would absolutely order again. The hojicha latte had a strong, toasty flavor, and the London Fog leaned very floral and slightly fruity (almost like Fruity Pebbles milk). They're currently only open on weekdays for soft opening, so come early, lines can get busy, but service stays efficient. Would come again in the future! read more

I've been here quite a few times because I wanted to try a variety of their menu items before I wrote a review to ensure my thoughts. First off, their hojicha einspanner is probably my favorite menu item. I always get it with oat milk and it definitely is creamy. I was so excited to try their matcha drinks as that is their main. However, the matcha itself is not my favorite. It definitely has a more vegetal/grassy taste to it which is not my favorite when it comes to matcha. Moreover, the matcha drinks are quite watery. I've tried it with whole milk and oat milk, as my hojicha was quite creamy but for the matcha, whatever it is, it just comes out watery. I personally like a creamy matcha and the ones at Maicha Matcha don't really give that. Not pictured, I've tried their strawberry matcha latte as well, the strawberry puree is very nice but bc the matcha is very watery, it doesn't quite hit the spot for me. I really do love the aesthetics and the brand of this cafe but the fact that I like a hojicha better than the matcha was a bit disappointing for me. Do keep in mind that the drinks in general are not very sweet. However, the London fog matcha latte is quite sweet, which is interesting bc I got that as regular sweet but the other drinks I got as regular sweet weren't as sweet. read more

This is hands down the best double matcha I've ever had! They use high-quality, premium matcha powder, and you can really taste the difference. The flavor is rich, smooth, and authentic without any bitterness. It's perfectly balanced--not overly sweet--and has an incredibly silky texture. Best of all, there was absolutely no gritty or powdery aftertaste. If you're a matcha lover, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be coming back! read more

Great aesthetic as soon as you walk in. The simple white clean decor is inviting to focus whether you are working or distressing with a book. London Fog latte was delicate yet the Earl Grey flavor complimented the matcha. The Earl Grey foam hits the spot and is a must with regular sweetness. A must try spot! read more

If I'm honest the only thing I really enjoyed was the aesthetic of the place it was nice - the furniture and music - I was vibing with. I got the Strawbery matcha (one of their most popular drinks) and it was mid. I've been to Tekosu cafe (a block away) and if I was to choose between the two it would definitely be Tekosu. Their Strawbery matcha is better and cheaper. I paid $7. 25; I don't mind paying this price if the matcha was worth it and to me it really wasn't worth it. Prices have become really are crazy for an 8 ounce cup.... I'm almost paying a dollar per ounce.... Any extras (I think a different milk or more sweetener) would've upped the price... yeah I would rather not.... Didn't try the pastries but I can't say I'll be going again. I tried this place to satisfy my curiosity and bc I'm an avid strawberry matcha lover but my chances of coming again are slim. read more

I am a huge fan of coconut matcha, so I just had to come by! While waiting for the drink, I saw them hand whisking my matcha which is a huge plus for me. It's easier to batch mix matcha, but they take that extra step to make their drinks fresh. When my coconut matcha came out, I was met with a cute dollop of whipped coconut cream. I liked how refreshing and vibrant my drink was. Their matcha is very strong, and tastes grassy and umami which is my preference. I plan to try their other matcha drinks soon. My brother is a hojicha lover, so he got the tangyuan black sesame hojicha. This drink was so delicious with the tangyuan. I liked how toasty and rich his drink was. Overall, I would come back again to try the drinks and study! read more

If you are around the area you HAVE to go to maicha matcha! They use agave for their matcha so no need to worry about the added sugars. The matcha latte was perfectly not too sweet and the matcha was subtle and great quality. Prices are definitely not bad compared to other matcha places ive been to. Staff were super friendly and mentioned how they could add any adjustments to my liking. The place is also aesthetically pleasing and there is spacious parking. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I got their coconut matcha drink. Unfortunately, the foam on top was not it for me. I had to scoop it off. It was an off putting texture and taste. The actual matcha with the coconut water was okay. It didn't blend well together in flavor. read more

Yesterday, I craved a pick-me-up treat, so I visited around 2 p.m. Surprisingly, almost every seat was occupied by people working on laptops on a Wednesday afternoon. Perhaps it was the hot weather or the fact that it's a relatively new establishment. Fortunately, my drink order was prepared swiftly. While matcha is likely their specialty, I appreciate that they also offer hojicha and coffee options. I was torn between the hojicha einspanner ($7) and the black sesame tangyuan hojicha ($8). I decided to splurge on the latter, and it turned out to be the best part of the drink. The pair of tangyuan was warm, well-filled, and had the perfect amount of chewiness. I also appreciated that they don't charge extra for alternative milk. I opted for oat milk and a less sweet version, but I think reducing the sweetness level was a mistake. The hojicha had a VERY robust earthy flavor that overwhelmed the black sesame cold foam. I had to add more oat milk at home to make it more enjoyable for me. I also liked their unique selection of pastries; the Earl Grey morning bun was delicious. I'll definitely return soon to try the einspanner for comparison. read more

We sampled a few different drinks and loved them all. We asked for everything light sweet as that is our personal preference - the drinks were all great and we especially loved the marbled latte. The cafe's esthetic is clean, calm, and relaxing. This will be a great new place for us to work out of or meet friends. read more

the jasmine cold brew matcha was really good!! i was more of a fan for the fragrant jasmine flavor and less for the actual matcha, it fell a bit short for me. the price is a bit steep for the size but nevertheless it was delicious. the service was good and my drink was made fast, would come back again! read more

I love this place!! They are so consistent w quality and they let you add coconut cream top on the matcha drinks for ppl who are dairy free. There are few matcha quality places that have that option. The London fog matcha is a fav! So excited to see how this shop evolves and grows. read more

Possibly my favorite matcha drink in a while! The London fog matcha latte was exceptional; every layer was distinct in flavor and even better combined. This matcha store does not charge extra for milk substitutions and the ambiance in the store is very peaceful! We may have come during a less busy time but there was no problem finding parking. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. Service was fast and the lady taking my order was friendly answering my questions about the menu. The cafe gets the matcha straight from Kyoto. I ordered the London fog matcha latte which includes an earl Grey cream top. It was delicious and the flavors were balanced well. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciate. My son ordered the mango passion spritz. He enjoyed it and said he would order it again. My husband ordered the strawberry matcha he said it was on the sweeter side but still enjoyed it. There are plenty of tables to sit at without it feeling too crowded. I will definitely come again to sample my way through the menu. read more
