She told us all about the croissant waffles called Croffle's in 5 flavors so we tried 3, plus two packages of her cookies. We sat down at a food court table to try the blueberry, tiramisu, and caramel. All were decadent and delicious with a crunchy exterior and a soft texture interior. Jenny put a lot of love into making them, and you can tell how proud she is of working there when she presents you with the finished product! The verdict: -- Blueberry croffle (5/5)-- my favorite of the two. Hot, flaky, and tender croffle and the blueberry cream packed a really blueberry punch! I don't care if it's made with artificial flavoring; it was so good! Also beautiful to look at. -- Ang butter croffle (4/5)-- if you're looking for something less sweet, this is the croffle for you. I found this to be subtler in taste, which suits some people, but I prefer hard-hitting flavors. Again, flaky and tender croffle, and the red bean was earthy and fresh with red bean chunks. The butter got a bit lost in there, but a tasty treat nonetheless. I'd love to return to have that blueberry croffle again, as well as try the tiramisu croffle. This place was just okay. We got 6 croffles.. one of each that was on display. I've never had a croffle before, but from the name of it, I guess I was expecting a croissant-waffle hybrid. There wasn't much croissant texture at all..it really just tasted like a Belgian waffle. And the different flavors really was just varying flavors of whipped cream and fruit using the same base for the croffle itself. If just for the croffle, it would have been 3.5 stars and I might have rounded up to 4.. but service was ridiculously slow. We were the only ones there and it took 25+mins to make. They have a decent selection of pastries like croissants, macarons, cakes, and danishes. I got their buttercream croissant, strawberry and whipped cream croissant, and a series of pancakes. The croissants were excellent - light and flaky but still hardy. The buttercream one is quite sweet and better shared with someone, but I still recommend it because it tastes a bit like creme brulee on a croissant. The strawberry and whipped cream croissant is lighter and a bit more refreshing. The pancakes (not sure if this is what they're called) were the perfect snack for after work or class. They come in a box of three and I chose matcha, chocolate, and strawberry. It's basically a circle of sponge cake topped with flavored whipped cream and they're not overly sweet, so you get your dessert craving filled without being overwhelmed. I would definitely go back to pick up desserts for get togethers or even snacks for myself. Price was quite fair. Everything together cost about $15. read more

We ordered brown sugar boba milk tea and it was delicious. The boba was fresh, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, and it was flavorful beyond just that brown sugar and milk taste. The croffle (croissant and waffle) was just wow. It tasted better than most waffles from any top brunch place in OC. That brown sugar syrup also was perfect. The croissants were light, airy, and our perfect to add anything to and make a sandwich with. The ang butter croissant comes with red bean and French butter. It was the perfect sweet and savory combination. The "garlic baguette" was the only item that was a little strange to us. It wasn't a baguette but more like garlic baguette chips with some sort of cheesy topping. It still tasted good enough to eat and there was nothing per day wrong with it. I believe Jenny, the owner was very nice and felt like another family member. She made our visit welcome and asked about our lives. We order a chocolate croffle, lotus (biscoff) croffle, tiramisu croffle. 10/10! My wife has only brought the remnants and I finally got to try them fresh! They all had a mochi chew behind the crunchy/flaky outside. Being a biscoff lover, the lotus was our favorite! Taiyaki 10/10! This has been a place I've been meaning to try for a while now, and I'm happy to say that today was THE day! It's inside the H-mart korean grocery store off Jamboree Rd. and Alton Parkway. It's been a while since I've been to this location, so it was nice to see the reset in the former Tous Les Jour location. Also, I learned that the super sweet, down-to-earth and kind owner of this place acquired this place not too long ago and has elevated the place and the food and drinks like no other. Always good to see this, and I love to support small biz, especially one on its uppity up! We went in to buy 3 croffles (croissant and waffle combo) to try and walked away with 6 more, haha! I like that the toppings are not too sweet and that everything tastes fresh and delicious. The croffles can't be too hot, otherwise the cream and toppings would not sit well so don't expect a hot pastry. In fact, you can taste every element of each croffle and honestly, if you're not careful, you'd want to eat more (I can personally attest to this haha). Customer service fills up the place, and does not fall short of the delicious food and drinks! The most humble and funny person runs this place, sometimes with her daughter on the weekends, so be patient while they make the yummy food when it gets busy. It's worth the wait, although my husband and I had a joyful moment chatting with the owner (Jenny) while we waited for our second order. Not a lot of seating inside the food court area, but you can walk around Hmart while you wait. Also, more parking in the overflow area on the right side of the Hmart entrance (as you're looking into the store). My husband and I will definitely come back, and we will also try the taiyakis too the next time they're available.
