I would give the food 4 stars but bumped it up to 5 because of the customer service. I'm not…read morecertain if he is the owner or the manager, but someone walked around asking each table how they're doing, and stopped and welcomed me for my first time eating there. That was very much appreciated. This is a fun casual spot in 2nd and PCH shopping center, so you get 90 minutes of parking free here. You order at the counter, and they bring you the food pretty quickly after. You can eat inside or outside, both are lovely options. You basically pick your pasta type and sauce, so it's kind of a create-your-own-dish. They also have weekly specials and a few other specialty dishes on the menu. I will say, the lasagna looks to be the dish to get. The person next to me ordered it and the dish was massive. Looked delicious! I got the pappardelle bolognese. Pappardelle is my favorite type of noodle, and they make a great pappardelle here! Perfectly toothy. The noodles themselves were 9/10. The bolognese didn't have the deepest flavor I've ever tried, but it was solid. I loved the beautiful plate that my pasta was served in. I would definitely come back here. It's great to "make your own dish". It's a fun spot right along the water as well.

I've eaten here a few times and the food is always exceptional. I have to call out that we had the focaccia, and I am a massive bread snob, and it was PHENOMENAL. Not greasy at all, gorgeous crust, fluffy interior, drizzled with a nice quality olive oil and served with a marinara I wanted to bathe in. Service is exceptional as always, the gals working were truly so sweet. We'll be back soon, this is truly such a gem.

We got the Caesar salad which I was let down by; flavor was lacking and the croutons were so hard I thought my tooth would break. We also got the brussel sprouts which were amazing; cooked to perfection and the sauce was phenomenal. We got the mafaldine pasta which hardly tasted like a vodka pasta, I compared the flavor to a thin, unseasoned tomato soup. The pasta itself was great but the base was not. We also got the tagliatelle which made up for the disappointing mafaldine. The pasta was the perfect texture, flavor was amazing, and the fishy shrimp took it to the next level. The included dessert was a panna cotta which was good but nothing to write home about. The interior did not feel like an authentic Italian restaurant and was drab/dry. Typical white/gray interior that takes away the authenticity of a restaurant. Lastly, there were several large flies, which I understand may not the restaurants fault but one did land in my wine which they did quickly replace. I would definitely think twice about coming back here and would only order the brussel sprouts and tagliatelle. Staff was nice and friendly.

We came here for a family dinner with a group of nine and were stoked we made reservations a couple…read moreof days ahead because the place was absolutely packed by the time we got there. One thing I noticed immediately was how deceptive the space is from the outside. You walk in thinking you're stepping into a small Italian bistro, and then it just keeps unfolding room after room until you realize you're actually in a large, incredibly lively space. Each room we passed through seemed to gain even more energy. There seemed to be birthday dinners, family gatherings, and just large groups of friends celebrating everywhere, and the whole restaurant had a genuinely festive feel without feeling overly loud or chaotic. Service was fantastic. Our waitress felt less like restaurant service and more like a friend helping the whole table have a good night. Everything flowed really naturally. Timing was great. Drinks stayed full. Plates never piled up, and even little moments that could have felt imperfect somehow just added to the warmth of the experience. We ordered family style for the table and honestly every single thing disappeared. The Burrina pizza and Romana pizza were both excellent. The Caesar salad was fresh and balanced. The lasagna was a hit, and we also ordered a white pasta with fennel sausage that nobody could stop eating. We even had family visiting from Ecuador with us, and everyone cleaned their plates and had a great time. We skipped dessert because we had cake waiting at home, but judging by the number of tiramisus passing by our table, we may have made a tactical error there. The only real challenge is parking. Broadway parking is Broadway parking, and locals already know the situation near the beach can get rough quickly. If you live nearby, I'd honestly recommend Ubering or walking if possible. This immediately went onto my shortlist for large group dinners in Long Beach.

While it was never my personal favorite, I continued going because my wife enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our experience on Sunday, May 3, 2026 definitively closed that chapter. We arrived around 5:45 pm, at a time when the restaurant was clearly not busy. A young gentleman at reception greeted us warmly and was about to seat us, but was abruptly interrupted by a woman who directed us--without explanation--to sit along the wall. We waited there for about 10 minutes, despite a clearly prepared table sitting ready just a few feet away. When we were finally seated, it was at that very table next to the reception desk. Throughout the interaction, the woman showed no courtesy--no smile, no "please," no acknowledgment, and no "thank you for waiting." After years of patronage, this level of indifference was disappointing enough to ensure we won't be returning.

I am so excited to have Pasta Loioco in Torrance. Fresh pasta is a treat, and it is so much better…read morewhen it is gluten free. They have a store front on Torrance Blvd., which was last occupied by a tasty gluten-free bakery. Pasta Loioco has expanded beyond just pasta offerings and echo the prior tenant with some tasty baked goods as well. We were looking forward to having this new shop, and we were so disappointed when the "Grand Opening" ended up being the first weekend of the Pandemic 2020 shutdown, so it was postponed. Never fear! We ordered a sampler of their products and picked them up. The pastas are fantastic. The spinach and ricotta stuffed raviolis were incredible (4.5 stars). After cooking them to just al dente in boiling water for 3 minutes, I tossed them with browned butter and was blown away. They were well seasoned and the pasta had excellent texture. A few of the raviolis were not crimped all the way and a few were split in the middle, so they could use some work on their consistency in delivery, but they were delicious. There were absolutely no issues with the red beet penne (5 stars). Although it was mismarked as 10 oz., it was as promised on the website and had a pound of pasta. Again, just shy of 3 minutes from frozen in boiling water was perfect. The pasta was flavorful and fresh. I turned it into a wonderful dish with garlic, spinach, capers and hazelnuts. I was a bit disappointed by the lasagna (2 stars). The cooking instructions were way off. They were not included with the lasagna, but the proprietor was prompt with a response to the question. I had to cook it twice as long (40 minutes rather than 20 minutes) and think it should have been a higher temperature than 375 degrees. The pasta sheets were nice, and the tomato sauce was good quality, but the ricotta was not well seasoned and the "veggies" were carrots, celery and onions (no zucchini like pictured online). I would not get this again. I would order the cupcakes again (4 stars). We had the chocolate-chocolate and the chocolate-banana varieties. The cupcake portion had great quality cocoa but leaned a little dry. This is frequently an issue with cupcakes, because they need to be sturdy enough to hold the frosting. And, it is the frosting that it brings it all together. I preferred the chocolate to the banana, but that is entirely a flavor preference. Both buttercreams were rich and delicious. They were sufficiently generous to have a bit with every bite. I highly recommend ordering from this new pasta shop. Support a new small business! The raviolis and fresh, unfilled pastas are worth the drive. And, everyone needs dessert, so get a cupcake. Plus, the proprietor is very helpful and generally responsive.

You order at the counter (either for takeout or to dine in), and they have a nice selection of imported Italian goods like sauces and pantry items, which gives it an authentic feel. I tried their meatball sandwich, and it was honestly delicious--super flavorful and clearly made fresh. One of my favorite things is that they also sell take-home pints of their sauce at a really affordable price. I brought one home and cooked with it, and it tasted way better than your typical store-bought jarred sauce. They also offer weekday specials, which is a nice bonus. I've been to both their Long Beach and Seal Beach locations, and both have been consistently good. Overall, it's definitely a thumbs up from me. They have their own little area to park, which was nice.., nice selection of beverages to choose from and a variety of other things to buy. They had a sign that said no public restrooms but honestly if it wasn't for that and they had restrooms for customers, I would probably give this place five stars but because of the restroom situation I had to bring it down to four considering I'm always looking for a place with a clean restroom since I work out in the field.

For food, I got a modified dish (gnoochi with Alfredo) and a salad with ranch. My teammates got all different types of food and they all loved it. I have taken my mom there several times (and as would have told you, she was a "foodie). Every time we've gone there, the food has been great and the servers really nice. This last week however, my family have been there twice, having booked them for two funeral repasts. Needless to say, it's been a tough week. But Gino and Raffaelo have been really great helping us through everything, and making it streamlined. We got the first option for their banquet menu: two kinds of pasta, chicken marsala, peppers and Calamari. It was especially nice to not have to worry at all of any details. The rooms that we used were ample and could fit a lot of people, and the bar was well stocked. It just made a tough time easier. We had been there for another funeral reception in February of 2025, when my stepfather passed away. Aside from being a great place, I just want to highlight how absolutely gracious they were at every turn. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
