    Spinach Salad

The spinach salad was divine - so fresh and filling yet light. It definitely gave me Martha Stewart vibes. After so much heavy eating on a trip to NYC - it was great to have something so green and fresh.

I have tried their matcha here in the past and decided to try their iced chai with oat milk this time. It was good but something I could make at home. They just used chai concentrate then added oat milk. Service was great either way. Of note, there is a restroom inside but requires a code and for paying customers only.

I think Maman is a great mini chain. It's a good spot for coffee, lunch or breakfast. This is a smallish space but it has quaint decor and friendly counter staff. The coffee is good and I like their pastries, cake slices and cookies. They have a 'no laptop' policy which I think is great, it's good to see people interacting and chatting with each other and the tables torn over faster which means if you've purchased something you can actually sit down and enjoy it. I wish more cafes had this policy.

Great food, coffee, and pastries! The space is very pretty but it's super cramped. Unfortunately, the wait times can also get pretty long which makes this a less than ideal stop for those who don't like crowds or are in a hurry. It's difficult to find space in new york but I wish they had less seating and organized it better. I also wish they had a better system for lining up. Oftentimes the crowd for grab and go gets mixed up with the crowd waiting for a table. Another minus for me is I've been to multiple locations and I dont think the bathrooms are well-kept. They also only have one stall that all the customers share which gets backed up when you're serving coffee... The sit down food is pretty good and the shakshuka options are cool. I also love their veggie sandwiches. From what i've heard the coffee is wonderful too.

Runny egg salad creating a massive spill that will soon stain the oceans

This location is run by the maman from Hansel and Gretel--yep, the one who persuaded daddy to leave the kids in the forest. So they'd never return. This Maman brought us runny egg salad where yellow goo splashed on us and on the table, and then ran over the sides of the wooden board, but she didn't bat an eyelid. This Maman didn't bring us napkins to wipe the spill. This Maman didn't bring us water. We'd rather wander in the forest and eat breadcrumbs than come back here.

No wifi and a no laptop policy at a cafe is INSANE I'm sorry. They claim it's to prevent squatters but I saw plenty of people "squatting" with books instead lol. Tables were absolutely filthy, the guy working had no idea how to scan the app, and my hibiscus tea was average at best. Giving two stars because I appreciate that they use actual glass for dine ins, and the place itself is really cute. In particular I love the mismatched chairs and flower displays.

Our server was the nicest man! I got the lavender latte and my husband had hot cocoa. Also I got the herb feta with side of toast/butter and my husband got the artichoke quiche. Drinks were amazing. The quiche was delicious. However, the feta was just crumbled with herbs. Why not have whipped feta so it is easier to spread. Too, the butter was still almost frozen so it wouldn't spread. Small disappointment but could do better. Having to fight to spread butter and then have crumble feta that is also not easy to spread, makes for to much effort to enjoy.

Came a bit after 4 pm, post brunch rush, and there was ample seating. I ordered their Small 12 oz Matcha Latte ($5.50) and unfortunately found it to be a bit too bitter, likely due to too much matcha powder in the drink. I also ordered their Scallion Cheddar Scone ($5) and it was way too sweet for my liking, and was also taken aback at the price I paid for the quality of the pastry! Perhaps I just had a bad experience on the day I went, but am a bit crushed from my visit - taking into account their prices and food/beverage quality.

Not flattering, but it was delicious

My sister, husband, and I went on our own small NYC Cookie Tour. We stopped at a bunch of places that we've been wanting to try. Maman was the 10th stop on our cookie tour. The photo I took is definitely not very flattering, but I promise this cookie was delicious. It was crisp at the edges and chewy in the middle. This was our list of places we tried: L'ami Pierre Culture Espresso Daily Provisions JM Bakery Seven Grams Butterdose Librae Funny face Levain Maman Gooey on the inside We also stopped at these places, but they were out of cookies by the time we got there. Lavender Hot Chocolate, Pistachio Croissant, Croissant Ham Sandwich
    Kuki T.

My friend and I visited Maman around 9 AM on Wednesday. Despite the rain outside & it being a weekday, it was pretty crowded. Luckily we were able to share a large 6-seater table with another group. We ordered lavender hot chocolates along with a pistachio chocolate croissant and croissant ham & cheese sandwich. The hot chocolates were amazing & pretty big for it being the smallest size. Both croissants were decent, though the ham & cheese one could've been warmed up just a bit more. Overall good experience here, will likely be back!

Very busy but we loved the pastries and lavender lattes! Decorated cute inside and even though it was crowded, it was still fun. Pastries were delicious!

If you are person who value a good time and good food, DON'T come. It's a 8:30 am, I was excited to get some coffee and catch up with some work, when I open my computer, the employee immediately told me no laptop policy. Ok, I respect it, however, there is literally no people in the store since it's early in the morning and there is no point of telling me to close my laptop the moment I brought it out from my bag. Honestly, I had ate here a few times. It's disappointment every time, the coffee is watery and food is mid.

I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
