Would never step foot in this establishment again, I will give my super honest review, I see other reviews struggled with the same thing as me. Came in first thing in the morning, like probably an hour after opening, barely 2 tables there, not busy at all. Got greeted by our server I believe his name is Mohamed, young little kid, but with a big attitude. Definitely doesn't fit as a store front. Anyways, got the worst service you can ever imagine, took about 25 minutes to come check on us if we're ready to order after we sat, we were ready to order 5 minutes after we sat down. Anyways, ordered soup, and water to start, none have came until after the food arrived, they got the soup first, then asked for the water like literally 3 times, till it finally got there after food was already done. Whenever he passes by our table, he looks the other way so we wont ask him for anything, I kid you not, he did not check on our table for the whole hour and half not a single time, only to drop off the food, and water. Thats literally it. The food was not fresh, I can tell it's probably some left over meat from the previous night. Anyways, this server adds 20% mandatory tip to our bill, thats when it all clicked for me, now I understand why the horrible service, bcz he's guaranteed a tip. We were only a party of 4, and I never been to a restaurant where they add mandatory tip for party of 4. But at least when they do, you're supposed to get a great service regardless if the food bad or good. That 20% was over $40, which he really doesn't deserve a single dollar tip. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from it. They also mess with your bill and added couple soda drinks that we didnt even get. Stay away. read more

The food is incredible, that chicken mandi literally falls off the bone, and the bread (similar to Indian naan) is served fresh off the oven. Everything is legit authentic Yemeni food, no shortcuts. I was so looking forward to trying Yemanese food and this place looked so beautiful so I finally got to go there last night. I love the decoration and the tables that are low to the ground. The food unfortunately was very disappointing. We both ordered lamb. Mine was grilled and it was overcooked and was very chewy. The portions are really large so one dish can possible feed two people. The plates are melamine which I didn't care for for a nice restaurant. I'm hoping the food will get better over time since they are a newly opened restaurant. read more

If you like middle eastern food please try this restaurant. They also have good vegan/ vegetarian options and I would recommend Mushaqal forn. The Mandi chicken dishes are delicious and a generous portion worth the cost forsure, it always makes 2 meals for me. They are very friendly and service is very good. First time at Mandi House - wow this place is incredible. The interior decoration is next level, feels like a vacation to Yemen! The food was delicious, we got the Mova Fish, side of rice, an eggplant based dip that I forget the name of, and lemon drink. The fish was so succulent and delicious, definitely my favorite dish I ordered. The rice was huge, along with the massive, delicious flatbread that came with the dip. The lemon drink was refreshing, sweet, and delightfully minty. The service was excellent, our waitress Aya was very sweet and took good care of me and my girlfriend. The food came out quickly and was reasonably priced for the gargantuan servings. We will be back! read more

This place was one of the best Mandi places I've ever been to. SO SO good I recommend their traditional beef Mandi. The portions are so generous and it honestly is not that expensive. The service was great with sweet servers and a reasonable wait time. This mandi was essentially just rice and boiled meat. There were little to no spices/salt and the meat was over-boiled and chalky. In addition, the service was incredibly slow and inconsiderate. We asked for water and coffee three times before it was given to us; our bill was only given to us after we flagged someone down three times. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Lady recommended the fish, I ordered the fish. My food does not arrive by the time the rest of my party is done eating. You have to wait 5 minutes to get someone's attention then they tell you they are out of the dish that you ordered. No apology and they offer a group order fish for $80 instead. After everyone else is done eating. Then they bring the bill that includes your meal that never came ($30). And you need to argue with them to take it off the bill. I lost brain cells talking to their staff. This is a common experience at this restaurant. They brought us a pitcher of water and it was frozen. The appetizers were meh. Absolute shit show. Everything was delicious--the meat was literally falling off the bone, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. Great authentic Yemeni restaurant. Menu variety and great for large parties- they have floor and regular seating. I recommend the beef stew and the party size meats platter. Me and my wife and kids went to this restaurant and order food the customer service is terrible they are over priced and they charged us a 20 dollar fee for eating at the restaurant on a table if I eat at the restaurant where do you expect me to eat the food wasn't cooked all the way definitely not trying again and don't prefer this restaurant if I can give it a zero I would horrible customer service definitely don't recommend terrible. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Overpriced food and from my experience this is one of the worst Yemeni food places I've ever had. Meat isn't cooked, The service was horrible, and when it was time to eat they charged us for eating at the table. To not only have overpriced food, but to also charge us for eating inside your restaurant, and then when I try asking the manager why they charged us for that and why they charged me for a full plate of chicken, when I clearly asked and was given a half plate of chicken, The dude starts insulting me, and calling me broke, and saids "This is SF, deal with it", and then proceeds to tell me to get out, after receiving my hard earned money, Sir I could care less about the food and pricing but to disrespect me on top of having a horrible ran business with bad food and service, and to charge me for eating inside your restaurant which is primarily their for your customers to dine in, is unacceptable and deserves to be out and known to the whole world!
