Something old-world maybe? Like a flavor that's existed for centuries and been passed down through time and so so many generations... and it's now landed in our corner of the world that's just a few blocks away? Globalization and the world within, for f' sakes! This place is truly brilliant. More recently, I'm only in town a few days out of the week, but I make a point to visit this location or their other location, Mokhamena on Panama, each day I'm here to, at a minimum, pick up two for myself--the first one is to function and the second is to savor. There was a time I'd pick up the party-size for my coworkers when I liked them... but alas, times have changed so more for me. The staff there are always friendly and awesome, and on days that I'm lucky enough, I get to actually enjoy the cafe. So grateful you guys are here and sharing flavors from across the world.

There is an eclectic and vaguely punk sort of vibe. It's clean and welcoming, but not overly polished. It's comfortable and inviting. Feels like an old-school coffeeshop from the 90s. The people who work there are also super friendly and happy to answer questions. There coffee is great and I love both the hot and cold options. The most recent time I was there I had an iced coffee and a pretty decent breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon on an everything bagel. It was tasty and came out quickly. The bacon was chopped up into the egg, which I liked. They also recently started selling these incredible cinnamon rolls from a local bakery called Just Cinnamon. It happened to be a Friday the last time I was there so I brought a caramel pecan roll home to share with my wife. We loved it! Dagny's has great coffee, good breakfast options, and an awesome space for hanging out. I really enjoy sitting there to read or work remotely.

During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs. Hector also shared he was creating a dedicated Memorial Day wall honoring local veterans, first responders, and teachers, while also working on an outdoor eating area. It's always great to see a Hector and Chris, and the new Adventures they take on. This is one of the few coffee shops in Bako worth checking out, whether you're stopping in for a coffee, a bite to eat, or a community events theyre hosting give em a visit an introduce yourself. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. He had a tattoo near the corner of his eye and was wearing a jersey. It really disturbed me about how he seemed to be harassing the baristas. He told one of them "your tummy is sticking out again," when she said "it's because I just ate," he said "no it's always sticking out." He them proceeded to complain to them about another employee who "decided to get knocked up right when things were getting busy," and said some other things about maternity leave. The most apalling thing was he then asked the barista "if you're pregnant and found out your son was gonna be retarded, would you do the un-Catholic thing?" She tried to brush him off by saying "it would be too late," to which he made a joke about using a "coat hanger." Truly the most apalling thing I've ever witnessed at any establishment. I never leave reviews at all, but I had to report this because it seems like this guy involved with management is bullying and harassing the employees. And this non-profit works with foster youth?!
