2nd of september we go in and we test drive a 2017 silverado lt. Luis the salesmen was absolutely helpful and in my opinion honestly, he did what he could for us to get approved he said that the car was ours and congratulations welcome to chevy and we traded in a 08 toyota camry, in which the car was was used as a trade in/ downpayment with 1000 cash down payment paid out of our pocket. We then sat down signed the contract and all the usual paperwork in order for us to drive away with our new car! On September 5th i recieved a phone call from chevy financial office stating that we would have to one of two things either return the vehicle due to the fact that the banks did not approve us or id have to get someone else with an income that would meet the monthly income they would require for the vehicle to be ours. During the time in which supposibly the car was mine i decided to put window tint as well as a speakers and amps, as we went back to try and figure what exactly is going on the sales manager walks up and as i explain exactly what had happened because he states im not the one that helped you guys i need you guys to explain what had happened, he continuously kept saying that what had happened on the weekend usually doesnt happen and that their staff isnt trained to say the car is ours when its not. The word assume kept getting directed to me as if i didnt know what was said nore as if i didnt know what i was doing. I felt as if he was trying to make me rethink what i had heard that day come out of his salemen mouth. Usually i dont argue or cause a scene but this time honestly i felt as if they laughed in my face as well as in my family's face because they kept going to the back left us there and came back and just to repeat in other words the samething over and over again! It sounds to me like they were trying to get more money from me after the contract had been signed and they swore the vehicle was ours! After 3 hours of trying to figure out what could be done and whats going to happen.. me being exausted saying idc we want the car back and i want to get reimbursed for everything that was put into the silverado. The sales manager had explained to me that as far as the extra things being put into the truck, he wouldn't guarantee a refund!.. My argument towards that was simple, if i had been in the first place given the correct information on my status with the vehicle meaning they specifically had said the vehicle isnt ours yet until we get a call from the finance office stating were in good circumstances with them... then i would have said forget it to avoid the issue that came up! He finally after so many times of wondering back and forth, came up to say that were able to keep the vehicle for one more night with out any problems because during the time there he kept putting comments that if we dont return the truck it would be repossessed for not being complient with them! I work for dietz towing and this mistake wouldve cost me my job and worse problems!!... the sales manager told me, come back tommorow and ill talk to the gm to see what could be done to help us, to stop by around noon on the 6th of September!. Here we are once again, and the same as the day before they kept trying to work a way to get that extra down payment due to the fact that it wasnt enough for the banks. I kept my same argument of all of this could have been avoided if it wasnt approved the first time or if i had to give 10 days for the banks to approve my loan. I didnt want the same salemen to sit and talk to me about the same thing as other days, in the end i just kept asking for the gm. They kept giving us the turn around of okay we will go ahead and get the gm for u over and over again. That kept happening until i decided to get up and double check to see what going on and if were not gonna be getting into a conclusion about this then id have to escalate to getting a lawyer to finish the headache and also come to a conclusion! After mentioning the lawyer they out of nowhere a conclusion comes out of the blue and he mentions to me to relax and they got approved for a better loan and that it was going to be VERY beneficial to me!. Once sitting there without the gm they finally gave us a deal in which from the beginning could have been done... but wasnt. To conclude my experience honestly this has been the worst, the mental stress not only that but the problems that were occuring during the time of the problems at mark christopher!! I had been a loyal customer of Mark Christopher (MC), purchasing over $100,000 in vehicles over the past few years. I leased a Chevy Volt from them in Oct. of 2016. Because of the 2019 laws for HOV, my car was no longer eligible for the HOV lanes. So I turned the car back into MC in Nov. 2018 and purchased a 2016 Volt that "supposedly" was never issued the HOV stickers. This was CONFIRMED by the Used Car Manager. In Jan. 2019 I was sent a letter by the DMV saying the 2016 Volt HAD been issued HOV stickers and was ineligible for the new stickers. I went back to MC to get resolution. The salesman was trying to be very accommodating of a resolution. Come to find out, no one at MC, except the salesman after looking it up on the Internet, knew how to look on the DMV site if a car had been issued a HOV sticker before. Not even their DMV specialist. The Used Car Manager admitted that the car I purchased didn't have stickers on it so he "assumed" it was eligible. Long story short, they found me a used 2017 Volt that the salesman verified had not been issued HOV stickers. When I came to MC to make exchange/purchase, I had been approved by my Credit Union for a loan. I told the Sales Manager this. We made the deal, signed the papers, and I went home. The next day I got a phone call from MC saying my Credit Union would not finance the warranty and I needed to come back and resign for a revised loan with the CU without the warranty. At this point, I'm so done with this nonsense, I did what I needed to do to just get out of there. Again, the salesman was patient, kind, and doing what he could to make this as painless as possible. A couple of days later, I got a notice that my credit had been run, but, okay, I got a loan. When I looked it up, I was shocked. ALTHOUGH I ALREADY HAD A LOAN APPROVED when I walked in the door, MC ran my credit 8 TIMES the first day, and 7 TIMES the 2nd day after the Credit Union wanted them to refi without the warranty (I had the loan, it just needed to be revised). That's a total of 15 TIMES they foolishly ran my credit in 2 days. Why? Because they were not getting their kick-back on my CU loan. Here, in my situation, they were clearly thinking of getting their monies worth out of me rather than fixing my situation. Of course I'm furious, I tried calling the General Manager to discuss my dilemma and left him messages. He had one of his service people call and ask me if he could help. I said no, I needed to talk to the GM period! Would you believe that he never called me back? He's a coward. He won't even listen to what I have to say. In the meantime, because of MC and their ineptness and pure incompetence, my credit has gone down 80 points, thus my good credit standing has suffered. Not able to sue, MC knows how to play the game better than I, I'm a victim. Considering my situation and the dollar amount I spent at their dealership, you would think I would have had at least an apology. Not a word from anyone, except the salesman, who was trying his best to be accommodating. I hope this situation at least makes you think twice before you purchase vehicles from Mark Christopher. Worse service by a Chevrolet Dealer I have ever seen!! I have purchased 5 new Chevrolet vehicles within the past 3 years and never felt so pushed around and humiliated In all my encounters at a Chevy dealer before! My 2015 Chevrolet Camaro was towed in due to a no start issue, i was taken there by Chevy roadside because it was the closest dealer it was a Thursday morning, Friday I received a call from Javier in service asking me to come in and talk to him about my car because he noticed I had HID lights, he said come in by 5pm because he didn't think my problem was gonna be covered under warranty and that I would have to pay 275.00 for a diagnosis and to hurry up and come in because Hes leaving and he's not there on Saturday, now it's 420pm I work and there's no way I can make it there in 40 minutes in Friday holiday traffic. Went in Saturday morning another service advisor says Javier is off on the weekends and were closed on Monday for Memorial Day come in on Tuesday. I received a very rude call from Javier which I saved, stating that i had not shown up on Friday and didn't show up yesterday which was Memorial Day and there were closed, and that I need to come return the rental car and either pay or take my car because no one has touched it or looked at it because they don't think it's gonna be covered under warranty! So I thought to my self how are you telling me you don't think it's gonna be covered under warranty if you havent even looked at it or found out the reason for the now start an give me a definitive reason why it's not covered under my full bumper to bumper warranty! So I called him back upset telling him what I thought and that I'm picking up my car and calling GM and filing a complaint about his attitude and lack of respect for the individual a customer! I called GM and spoke to a senior advisor and filed my complaint and had my car removed from that place and took it to a reputable dealership which I recommend for all my dealings, car sales and service are at the highest level, Singh Chevrolet in riverside! The service dept jumped on my car and had the problem fixed the same day. All it was, was a loose connection in the wiring harness on the passenger side kick panel they fixed it and secured it and had it back to me the same day, and yes under warranty! I don't know what the issue was with Javier and the service dept but they are a very unprofessional service dept and the way i see it was they wanted the 275.00 diagnosis few! Was trying to get 275.00 worth losing business and losing potential customers! I seen a new Colorado on the sales floor there at mark Christopher and thanks to the service I received at Singh Chevrolet I will be purchasing it from them I will post pics as soon as I get the keys so that mark Christopher can know I mean business! Thanks for the headache and loss of time at work to deal with the run around and the 5 days without my vehicle that you guys sat on and did absolutely nothing! To start this off if I could give this a 0 star I would. I got here at 10:56am and there was no cars in front of me for a simple oil change. Ray took my keys and gave them to a mechanic while I signed the paperwork. Ray said "it should be an hour or so." I walked to the waiting room and within 5 minutes Ray comes in and tells me that there is an oil leak and if I wanted to get it fixed (I've know that my car has been leaking oil and informed them all the other times I've come here and they have failed to fix it). I tell Ray I want the leak fixed. So he leaves and time flys. I can see my car from the waiting room and it's been in the same spot for the past hour and a half. I am getting frustrated because they haven't even touched my car since I've got there. I walk to the office and look for Ray and I dont see him. Juan tells me that Ray went to lunch. And that my car will be worked on after another car that had higher priority than mine. Even though that car came way after mine. They fix the other car within 20 minutes and leave my car untouched for another hour. I see Jeff walk around and I go talk to him. He says he will go check on my car because he said "it should have been done hours ago" and was not sure what the delay was. I have already wasted 3 hours here. I notice Ray stroll in after a 2 hour lunch. He noticed me sitting in the waiting room and says he will go check on my car. He then passes me again and says my car should be done shortly. Once more, he passes me and says he will check on my car again. I dont know if he ever checked on my car. And another hour goes by. I go and approach Ray after another hour of waiting. When Ray notices me walking towards him he shoots up from his seat and says in a quick manner "I'm going to go check on your car right now." Take in account that it's been 6 hours. Customers come and go and employees are now saying goodbye for the day and I'm still waiting. The dealership closes in one hour and I wouldnt be surprised that they are rushing it just to get me out of there. I'm finally in my car at 4:59pm. I turn my car on and notice that they turned off my car with the AC on and my tires completely twisted to the left. I dont need to be a mechanic to know that that damages the axle. There is no word in the dictionary to describe this experience. I have given them so many times to prove me wrong and they just disappoint me every single time. You just lost a loyal customer that will never recommend anyone to go to Mark Christopher's. read more

Mark Christopher Chevy practices Bait and Switch Advertising. We came in to check out two Chevy Sparks KL8CB6SA9HC786772 and KL8CB6SA0HC797031 which were advertised $10,995. After the salesman Gerald Waters entered both into the computer, and was gone for 30 minutes to find it, he came back with a black car, and told us the Red Spark, KL8CB6SA0HC797031, had a huge dent in it, and that he couldn't sell it. He also told us he couldn't find the Kalamata Spark, KL8CB6SA9HC786772, and that he would give us the deal on the black car. We really didn't want the black car, but reluctantly agreed to purchase it. After taking it for a test drive, and wasting a couple of hours, we were led to financing to complete the purchase. While we were waiting, I went for a walk, found the Red Spark, KL8CB6SA0HC797031, and it wasn't dented. Gerald Waters LIED to us that the Red Chevy Spark that we wanted to purchase had a HUGE DENT in it because he didn't want to sell it to us. When we told Gerald Waters about it, he went and got the manager, who then told us the Red Spark had a mechanical problem, that they wouldn't be selling it to us, and that it would be returned to the manufacturer. He also told us the Kalamata was already sold. I went back the next day and test drove the Red Spark, and the Kalamata Spark was still on their lot. The Red Spark drove great, and there were zero DENTS. When the Saleswoman asked me to come inside so she could get me a deal on the car, I told her I already had a deal on the car, and pulled out their advertisement for $10,995. She went in to see the manager, came back out and informed us we would not be getting that deal because both vehicles were listed by mistake in the advertisement. I told her I would be reporting them to the BBB for Bait and Switch advertising, she went back in to see her manager, came out and gave us the deal. They are being dishonest with their customers, advertising cars for sale that they have no intention of selling at the advertised price. They lie to the customers about the condition of the cars that are listed in their advertisement, so they won't have to sell them. They are in the practice of Bait and Switch Advertising which is illegal. read more

About eight weeks ago I purchased a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 pickup from Mark Christopher Chevrolet. The truck was used with 12000 miles on the odometer and had 80,000 miles and 4 years remaining on its bumper-to-bumber warranty. After about four weeks of driving, I noticed that the rear radio speakers were not working. Shortly after that, the left front speaker also stopped working. I took the car back to the Mark Christopher's service department and asked them to investigate the nature of the failure. The service representative immediately noticed that there were additional after market speakers installed and was not sure if he could repair the unit under warranty. They took the vehicle and checked out the radio and speakers and notified my that everything beyond the radio (wires and all speakers) were not original hardware and that the repairs could not be performed under warranty and further it would be very expensive (most likely well over $1000) to put the system back to factory original condition. The service manager suggested that I talk with the salesman that sold me the truck. I contacted my sales agent and he escalated the problem to the sales manager, Emad Fakhoury. I first met Mr. Fakhoury when I was negotiating the purchase of the truck. Mr. Fakhoury talked with the service manager and then asked me to leave the truck and he would make things right. The truck was sent to a local business that specializes in stereo installation, and they replaced the wiring and upgraded the speakers. This repair was not covered under warranty and the sales department at Mark Christopher picked up the bill. The radio now works and sounds great. I'm sure there are many auto dealers out there that would have told me I was out of luck and was on my own for non chevy parts repair, not so at Mark Christopher. They did right by me and stood behind the vehicle they sold to me. This was not the first car I have purchase from Mark Christopher and it will not be the last.
