Even though it's a little expensive, the food is amazing and the little side dishes they bring throughout your meal are such a nice surprise not to mention their wine selection is astounding. I went here for my 2 year anniversary with my fiancé and i was impressed with the short wait time and friendly staff. The only downside is the atmosphere, it's quite loud especially during dinner rush but that is expected. We had to use our "outside" voice to hear each other ( i'm naturally soft spoken) i would recommend coming to this restaurant just make sure you're hydrated because you'll be talking a bit louder than normal. read more

Marker 32 has been a favorite of mine for years. I have spent so many special events here, I lost count. Also I can't mention Marker 32 without the amazing cats they care for outside the restaurant. I get worried if Buster isn't there to greet me when I enter or leave. Their dishes are always prepared to perfection and I love that they continue to carry local spirits. Marker 32 does a really nice job in the kitchen, and with the team-based service. We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the table reservation was needed. If a view is important, let them know when you reserve the table, as there are a number of tables (including ours) with practically no view at all. Despite not having a view, the food was terrific. Calamari was some of the best prepared we've had - Cooked tenderly, and seasoned nicely. We had the scallops entrée and a flounder special and both were of the highest quality. Service from Chris M was attentive, and other team members came to check on us, refill drinks, clear plates, etc. Dinner will average about $50 per person all-in, which is well worth it. While this was our first visit, we'll certainly be back. read more

I stopped in the marker 32 today for dinner by myself. For a week night it was quite busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I sat at the bar where there was room for me to have a drink and get some dinner. Staff was very helpful both upon entry and at the bar. There was a comprehensive menu provided immediately and water and bread offered. I enjoyed one of their cocktails And selected the duck breast flatbread. It was delicious. I then followed up with a half-dozen raw oysters from the appetizer menu that were nicely shucked and fresh. Finally I had the sea scallops from the appetizer menu that included 3 scallops and delicious regional sauce, chow chow. The view from the restaurant overlooking the boats and the intercoastal waterway were perfect. I will be back. read more

Let me start out, Wow!! My husband brought me here for Valentines Day, neither of us had been here. The scenery is of the intracoastal beautiful! Amy was our waitress. Just a delightful soul with a warm prey and on the spot. We started with drinks. Hot mama, basically a jalapeño margarita, and my husband had Pinot Noir. Both were so smooth and chilled perfectly in my case and flavor was perfect for the wine. We did the calamari dressed in a ginger which was just a little bit of awesome to look forward to. I had the wood fired salmon with a risotto. My husband had a special aged steak, potatoes lasagna, roasted carrots and a basket of fresh bread. Let me say that there is nothing like this except in Heaven. Everything had taste to rock your tastebuds. The steak was cooked to perfection. Of course you can't do without dessert. I had the best hummingbird cake ever and husband had a decadent cheesecake. Drank a cup of Kona with truffles. Just absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Definitely 1100% recommend!! A great meal and wonderful dining experience. Started off with a specialty drink -- Hot MaMa -- Reposada Tequila, lime, agave and a jalapeno. Delicious way to start a nice meal. Appetizers of Burrata and the wilted spinach salad with bacon, egg, cheese were the next best thing. Calamari was fresh, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. What trip to Florida would be complete without Grouper, and Marker 32 serves up a wonderful dish with grits, green beans and a flavorful burst of crab and andouille sausage gumbo on top. Wow!! Jennifer, our server, was exceptional. Well versed in all the dishes, prompt with service and always available when we had questions. Good, reasonably priced wine list. Good beer selection. plenty of parking. This will be a very nice dining memory. I can often tell a restaurant's mettle and quality by how well someone handles a tricky situation. In our case, the appetizers and salad had just been delivered and we were savoring our first few bites. 2-3 minutes later, the entrees arrived. When our server checked in, I asked if there was a good reason why our entrees arrived at the table so soon? Her response "I was wondering the same thing. I'll take them back to the kitchen." Once the appetizer plates were cleared, she checked back on us, and said "you are getting a freshly cooked dinner. Sorry about that earlier." I was looking for a very high end restaurant to take my husband for his birthday but the few I could find in Jacksonville didn't get great recent reviews or didn't have a menu that appealed to me. Yelp helped me find this place and it has fantastic reviews and it did not disappoint let me tell you. Believe the fantastic reviews. The wait staff is exceptional, friendly and provided a great dining experience which I know has been very challenging in the last couple years. We started out with A fried grouper appetizer which was absolutely amazing. I had the corn bacon chowder and let me tell you it was some of the best soup I've ever had and I'll be ordering the Neuskes bacon online because ever since Luckys market closed I haven't found a place to get fantastic bacon. For the entrées my husband had the grouper special which was tender and delicious and I opted for the crabcakes with a second bowl of soup. Marker 32 is one of my favorite restaurants. I'm always using this place for exciting moments in my life. I always get a drink from the cocktail menu and the bsitro steak with those amazing fries that have cheese on top. It's so good. The atmosphere is for romantic dates. Beautiful sunset as always. It's super busy though. So be prepared for the area to be full of people. Wish they added more to their menu but definitely stop by its worth it. read more

Dinner at Marker 32 can be described as "fine". The food, the service - it certainly wasn't bad and was at time good but was also not great. My wife was rather perturbed by the attire of the hostess (which was very limited). Our waiter was doing his best, working hard to service far to many tables for one person which, despite his diligent efforts, meant a long delay to order and empty drinks. The food was mixed. The Oysters were very good as were the scallops. The two fish specials were pretty average. Another item that surprised us was the lack of water views despite the restaurants name and location. Unless you are lucky enough to have a table right along the window, don't expect this to be a water front dining experience. Most tables are situated where at best you catch a glimpse of the mast of a sailboat. Their sister restaurant, North Beach Fish Camp, is a far better experience in our opinion. read more

This may be the best seafood place in Jacksonville and that is saying a great deal since there are some good seafood places in a coastal city like Jacksonville. Been there 2 times in the last month and both times were amazing. We ordered salmon and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Cocktails were also very good ... love the basil gimlet. Good wine choices as well. Servers are knowledgeable and professional. Manager came by on one visit to see how we were doing. Good execution. The restaurant also has great views of the marina and marsh as a bonus. The first time we went it was late in the evening; we walked in and were able to get seated within a few minutes. However, I believe we were lucky as this place gets very busy and it is highly recommended to have a reservation. The next time we went was on Wednesday and the place was packed at 6 PM. read more

Haven't been in years. It was a place of many great memories when I was young. The first time I went I was 24. I was used to dating guys that took me to eat at TGIF, Outback etc. Nothing wrong with that I like food and conversing anywhere with food! My date told me to dress fancy and that I had no problem with, I loved to dress up! We got there it is like a New York movie type of set-up. Like a "sports coat required" feel to it and I loved it. When I go out on a date I am not one of those girls that order a salad to try and look like I don't eat. I eat and I love to eat. But when I got handed the menu and I opened it up and saw that there was no prizes, that stumped me. I'm not a Golddigger and I know that people have to pay bills no matter who they are. But nonetheless I saw they were pondering the menu and finally said I'd have the filet mignon. My date smiled and looked surprised. He was from Southern California... Will just leave it at that for the type of women and he was used to dating I'm assuming salad girls. Pro's If you are looking for a fancy you found it! This is a great place to take a woman or a man that you truly want to impress. It's also a great place that I would say to propose. The outside has a beautiful little view walk around. The food is fantastic! And the menu does change so you don't have to order the same thing every time. Cons If you were to walk in to try and check it out and you're just in plain clothes you would probably feel pretty out of place. It's definitely something you need to plan for. The server disappeared after the "drive by" where she was reminded of missing wine - and let's be clear - she didn't ask nor stay long enough to hear that the dish wasn't right. I'd heard about how good Marker 32 was since I moved to Jacksonville. It's on many people's lists for great, mid-scale dinner options. So maybe I was hoping for too much, but I was not really impressed. On my first visit, I ordered the pork chop with greens and hominy. The portion size was excellent and the meat was juicy but despite the molasses bourbon jus, it really didn't have much flavor. I brought half of it home and added sauce to it before I finished it. The hominy also suffered from a lack of flavor. I only ate a couple of bites of that. The best item on the plate was the collard greens. They were seasoned well and they had a little bite to them. Service was disappointing. For a restaurant in this price range, I would have assumed that service would be outstanding but actually, after reading other Yelp reviews, I see that my experience was not unique. Our server was pleasant but not very informative and service was slow, despite an early mid-week dinner. He brought the bread basket out which clearly had a variety of breads and he offered no explanation. When asked what bread we had, he mentioned that there was a variety and he couldn't remember what he'd brought us. As I asked about the presumptive flavors, he was able to come up with some partial bread options. Then, as he was taking my plate to the kitchen to box up the leftovers, he allowed someone at my table to put his fork into my hominy to taste it. That was unacceptable. I will try this place again and I'll order seafood, as that's really their specialty. Hopefully I'll have a different waiter next time and a better experience. read more

One of my favorite places in Jacksonville. Food has always been great and so has the service. Casual yet elegant but not a stuffy atmosphere. You can even sit at the small bar and eat. Some tables overlook the intracoastal. After your yummy meal go wash your hands, they have a wonderful hand scrub in the restroom :) Fried shrimp plate is good, whole fried pompano(my entire family loves it!), trigger fish, oysters, warm beet salad. The list of goodness goes on and on. The kitchen is very accommodating as well. Enjoy! As of 2016 - No more hand scrub- but still the best restaurant in Jax. Just had their burger which is no longer on the menu but only offered now as a nightly special- so you have to be lucky- it is by far the best hamburger I've ever had. My husband and I have eaten here multiple times through the years and it was always impressive. But something had happened. It's barely mediocre at best. My salmon dish was served cold with a sad corn salsa. The pork chop was tender but served with a very small portion of sad sweet potatoes and a scant amount of asparagus.
