My daughter's favorite place to go to when she is craving ceasar salad. They have great menu options and service is always great. We always get the ceasar salad, spinach artichoke dip, and some kind of pasta. Nice place to go when you are at the mall and not wanting to eat at the foodcourt.

This is the best place to eat at the mall. They always have the best comfort food with a flare. I loved this white chocolate dessert. A lot of their stuff is seasonal so you can always expect new things!

Usually we love coming here. Tonight's dinner and service is very subpar. Entrée arrived and they forgot our soup. We had to ask for someone to check on the soup. Shredded cheese was more like clumps of cheese. Couscous has the refreshing lemon flavor, but rather dominating and covering up the other spices.

I always like coming here! The tomato soup,Cesar salad with shrimp and penne bolognese meatball pasta are my favorite. The food always comes out quick.and the crème Brulé is especially divine

My proof of purchase for March 26th

I discovered the Nordstrom Marketplace Café at Brea Mall back in January while working nearby, and it quickly became one of my go to spots. I only get a 30 minute break, so having something quick and good close by meant a lot to me. I have spent well over $100 here in the past month alone, and while I have genuinely enjoyed the food, my orders are frequently off in small ways like missing sauces, missing sides, or undercooked vegetables. I never complained about any of that because I understand things happen and I did not want to cause issues. The first time I ever called was March 10th when my chicken tenders were unusually tough. They remade it, but when I came to pick it up, I was treated very coldly by management like I had done something wrong just for speaking up. On March 26th, I received overcooked potatoes and called again. This was only the second time I have ever called despite multiple visits. After being on hold, Porsche got on the phone and told me this was becoming a pattern and that moving forward I would need to verify my food before leaving because they have no proof otherwise and cannot help if I do not eat in the restaurant. That honestly shocked me. Calling twice out of many visits is not a pattern, especially when I have overlooked several other mistakes without saying anything. It felt like I was being accused of trying to get free food, which is completely untrue. I also work in the mall and physically cannot sit and eat there. I have a 30 minute break, and by the time I walk there, order, wait, and walk back, I barely have time to eat. So being told they cannot help unless I dine in is unrealistic and unfair. Beyond that, I have consistently noticed a difference in how I am treated compared to other customers. Conversations feel short and dismissive, and it is honestly uncomfortable. Not that it should matter, but I am a working professional and influencer. I am not someone trying to get over or get free food. I simply expect the same respect as any other paying customer. The food can be good, but the customer service, especially in how concerns are handled, really needs improvement. I was offered to have the potatoes refried, at first I accepted but I decided not to support at ALL and wrote a formal complaint instead. I will not be back.

Bruschetta Pizza Once a Year! So delicious

Thank you to the lovely lady in the green shirt who recommended a fabulous meal. She was hustling the cash register, stocking wine, and expediting the orders in the back kitchen. I did not get your name but you absolutely deserve kudos! I am pretty sure you were the manager because you were an amazing representation of the Nordstrom Marketplace Cafe Customer Service. I had the best meal here! From the bread and butter right down to the darn tasty pizza. There was a line right at opening. Do not sleep on the pizza and salads! The Bruschetta Pizza was surprisingly delicious and the Blackened Salmon Salad was Devine. Eric provided nice customer service as well. What a pleasant experience and when I am in the area again, I will be sure to stop by :)

My friend and I came here for lunch around 10:50 AM and noticed a line forming to place orders before being seated. We placed our order while standing in line and were then escorted to our table, which made the process smooth and efficient. The food was good overall--my pasta was a bit on the salty side for my taste, but not enough to ruin the meal. I do wish they had a nice coffee option available; if they did, we would've stayed longer to enjoy it. Instead, we headed to Nordstrom coffee afterward. Still, it's a nice spot to satisfy your hunger before or after shopping!

Fantastic food, excellent service, wonderful ambience. Thanks Emily and Eric for making our repeated visit so joyous

Nice place to relax and rest after walking and shopping. We'd like bigger portions... hopefully management can consider.

Came here with my mom recently and it was such a pleasant experience. I wish I remembered our servers name but we were here like two weeks ago so I forgot she did a phenomenal job. My water and coffee were bottomless. The food was absolutely delicious, and the place itself was really cute. We sat at a booth by the window. Overall, really nice and memorable experience. I'd definitely come back

I haven't been to this Nordstrom in years, let alone dining at the Cafe (3rd fl). I was glad to see that their signature staple items were still available. My go-to Asian Chicken Salad and iced tea. Still fresh & chilled, nicely tossed with right amount of dressing and juicy grilled chicken breast on top. Jazzy was our server and she took our order, made sure our drinks were refilled, and allowed us to enjoy our meals & conversations without much interruptions.

    Joanna P.

Awesome place to get food without it feeling too fast or too casual. They have great customer service. Order at the counter and you will have a server to refill your drinks or add any additional orders for you. They give you mint chocolate at the end. Food is basic, but good! If it's a nice day, there's a small balcony where you can sit outside.

I had not noticed that they had some healthy items on their menu so I decided to walk in. This time I was by myself and did not have my wallet with me so I asked if I could use Apple Pay to pay which you can. I decided to sit at the bar by myself. The bar area had a good ambience with a game from the Dodgers playing. The bartender was really friendly and made me feel welcomed. Once I ordered my beer came out pretty quick and my burger followed not too long after. I ordered the bison burger, and it was really good. I saw a few other items that would be guiltless or not as unhealthy that I will most likely try on a different location after the gym when I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking afterwards.

My experience was underwhelming…read more The inside decor was fun and the restaurant is big, Plenty of seating throughout, combination of tables, booths and at the bar. Definitely a place you can come watch sports or hang out with big groups. My husband and I came in on a weekday, a little before 8 for dinner. There were probably 5-7 parties throughout the restaurant and 2 people at the bar. No host at the front. Servers working at bar and a server walking around. No acknowledgment from staff or even a glance our direction. We decided to wait a few more minutes, if no one helps us we will leave. A few minutes later, a server quickly walks from the back. He grabs menus and takes us to a table. I liked that the booth was huge for just the 2 of us. I didn't like that the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated by the bathroom and in front of the kitchen. Our server was Bryce and he was nice. We ordered: Steak fajitas - read a lot of reviews about this and it was just okay. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's definitely a serving for 1. The steak was tough, but the veggies had flavor and cooked perfectly. The tortilla was also good. I ended up eating the veggies with the tortilla without the steak. It comes with small ramekins of sour cream, guacamole & the black bean salsa - which was more like a purée. Deviled eggs - so, I love deviled eggs. If it's on the menu at any restaurant, I always order them. These were very runny. The flavor was good, but the texture of the yolk was like baby food. I wouldn't order again. Grilled cheese & soup - this was good. Very cheesy. I thought the glasses for the drinks were cute. I drank about 1/2 my coke and noticed the glass was dirty with specs of food, both inside the glass and outside. My cloth napkin also had stains. We are local, so if our friends wanted to come back, we might try it again, but this would not be my first choice.

Came for a girls lunch date earlier to this weekend and this spot did not disappoint!…read more THE SERVICE: 5/5 - Quick, friendly, accommodating, and our waiter made a real effort to engage in conversation with us. The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively

It didn't taste as good and wasn't as juicy sadly. The sauces were still consistent but the pork belly itself was a bit lackluster from before Tinga taquitos- these used to be so juicy, the chicken inside was a bit dry and the tortilla itself was too thick. U def need to use the sauces they provide to offset the dryness Grilled Octopus- this dish was good, octopus was juicy but portion was a bit small for what it was. It also came with sweet potato fries Loaded fries- idk what I was expecting but these were just fries with buffalo chicken nuggets on top. Don't get me wrong this was decent and the buffalo chicken was tangy and juicy! Thirsty Thursday deals happen all day $7 margs and you know I had to get some. Mango was the sweetest, strawberry was not bad, guava was the best in balance of flavor in sweetness and alcohol. Overall not a bad experience but note if u haven't came here in a while, the food quality has changed sadly

I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Horrible experience and extremely poor customer service…read more On Father's Day, my husband wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were seated on the patio and waited for 15 minutes without a single employee approaching our table. Not one server, host, or staff member stopped by to acknowledge us, offer water, or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. We actually timed it from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we were seated in the middle of the patio in plain sight. We watched multiple servers and staff members standing around the service station, chatting, sipping drinks, and looking around. Meanwhile, guests who were seated after us had their orders taken, received water, and were even served appetizers before anyone acknowledged our existence. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. On Father's Day of all days, when families are trying to enjoy a special meal together, the lack of attention and basic hospitality was astonishing. After 15 minutes, with my husband and son both hungry and frustrated, I walked up to what appeared to be the manager or owner and informed her that we were leaving because no one had come to our table. Her response was that she "wasn't aware." Frankly, that's not an acceptable answer. If you're managing or owning a restaurant, knowing whether your guests are being taken care of is part of the job. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, dining at everything from small local establishments to high-end restaurants around the world. Out of the countless places I have visited, this experience easily ranks among my top 20 worst restaurant experiences. Not because the food was bad--we never even had the opportunity to order--but because the complete lack of service and awareness was that shocking. To make matters worse, after leaving, we went to North Italia. Within a few minutes of being seated, a server greeted us, acknowledged the Father's Day rush, offered us bread, and genuinely seemed concerned when we explained what had just happened. That simple act of hospitality immediately changed the tone of our afternoon. That is how a restaurant should be operated. That is what good management, training, and customer service look like. You make guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of--even on one of the busiest dining days of the year. This restaurant, unfortunately, did the exact opposite. We left disappointed, hungry, and genuinely stunned by how poorly the situation was handled. Will we return? Absolutely not. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and understand the basics of hospitality for us to ever give this place another chance.
