The service was good, my food was not. Started with a Moscow Mule which tasted like watery lemonade, and the Margarita that I ordered to replace it was even more bland. I'm not convinced that either actually contained alcohol. I ordered the Lobster Stew, a side of cornbread, and Spuds. The Spuds were pretty good-potato slices fried in a golden batter. The Lobster Stew was okay, just okay-cream based, very little flavor. The best I can say is that it wasn't offensive. I'm pretty sure the cornbread was made from cardboard and old newspapers with a dose of yellow dye. The atmosphere? Think noisy family restaurant with some plastic fish on the wall. I don't live in this area but when you're looking for a seafood restaurant, I'm sure you can do better. read more

Found this place looking for a place where our dogs could go on Bring Fido. The reviews were good there so we decided to try it Sat outside. We were greeted promptly. Good service here. They provided water for our dogs. We ordered our drinks and meal. I had the blacken shrimp dinner which had about 18 shrimp, fries and hush puppies. Came with a side salad. Everything was very good. My wife had the fish tacos with fries and a side salad. Very tasty as well. The water however was undrinkable the only negative to the meal. If we're in the area again, we'd would eat here. Wish we would have come here our first night in town!! We would have come back again! Everyone and everything was more than we expected! Worth the wait! We were able to enjoy the marsh and the sunset by sitting on the covered porch. Drinks were poured in the heavy side( nothing wrong with that)! Okay, we had driven from northern Virginia on our way to Tampa and stopped in Brunswick, Ga. Concierge at our hotel recommended the Marshside Grill for good food and great atmosphere. We found it easily enough but it was 5:00 Friday afternoon and there was a line. Bar was packed but we were tired and hungry. Service was stretched but they were right on top of everything. Drinks were cold and generous. 20 minutes later we were seated and waited on. The line to get in was getting bigger. View from table through to the marsh was great especially with the added shrimp boat. Outside deck was dog friendly. Seafood was delivered hot and fresh and staff was very friendly. Stopped in for dinner. Started with a salad & was informed that I got the last tomato (see pic). Salad was OK. I ordered the Fried Shrimp & Scallops. They were cooked nicely, but again, nothing to justify more than 3 stars. My friend had the Chicken Fingers, which he said were a bit dry. Asked for unsweetened tea she brought sweet tea, then had to try to flag her down for refills. Many cups sat empty. Asked for the military discount. She said okay we give 10%, the bill was $52, she gave .52 cents, we told her she did 1% not 10% and she it's too much trouble to fix the bill. We will not be coming back. read more

2nd time back. This is our destination stop when driving between FL an VA. First time was just a lucky drive by. Service was great. We absolutely love the peel and eat fresh GA shrimp and their hush puppies are perfect. Place gets busy but bar seating is very an easy choice. So sad we left our Pirates cap there. Hopefully they'll hold onto it for when we stop back again! Outdoor seating is available and has a great view. Don't hesitate to stop here. Love this place! read more

My wife and I came here for lunch for some seafood. I ordered the fried oysters with a baked potato. This was some of the best food I've had in a very long time. The oysters were cooked correctly, the baked potato was great and so was everything else. My wife had a salad with shrimp and a side of spuds. She loved every bit of her food as well. Nice little place. I think it's popular because there is not much competition on this side of Brunswick, there are definitely better choices for seafood. The place is dog friendly and has a a very big back porch over looking the marsh. Service was nice, food was ok, would not go out of my way for this place but if your driving by and it's time to eat it will be just fine. read more

Probably my favorite restaurant in Brunswick and the only truly waterfront option in the port city. The diversity of the menu is incredible and everything I've ever ordered is very good. The best thing on the menu hands-down is their onion rings appetizer - and they have a great happy hour! We went here on a Saturday night and it was very busy, ended up sitting at thr bar and the bartender Brittany took care of us. Despite having many customers she did a fantastic job and was extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is on the water and has a great view and provides a relaxed atmosphere. Watch out as this charming marsh "side" restaurant can fill up quickly. We ended up getting take out to avoid the line and enjoyed the nice outdoor scenery and life music while we waited. The inside is a cool bar-restaurant hang out while the outside deck facing the marsh has a picnic table like set up (good for babies). We ordered the surf and turf steak and crab legs feature. We also got the fish of the day in pasta form (also offered as a sandwich) and chose the blackened option. This mahi mahi was quite good and nice that it came with a healthy vegetable side. The garlic bread was good but didn't keep too long. The steak was very good and cooked nicely but could have used a sauce. The crab claws were probably the best thing we ate. We got the fries and hush puppies as sides. Nothing blew us out of the (marsh) water but everything was very good and I'd recommend this place for sure. read more

Local bar and seafood restaurant, if you are coming for dinner get there early because it does get crowded so prepare to wait. It is a local bar/restaurant so there are a lot of locals to talk with. Food is ok if you like seafood and fried everything. Drinks are poured well and prices are extremely fair. I put my hand next to the steak to show how big it was ! So yummy. They also have hibachi but they don't advertise it. We got the fried rice for an app and it was delicious. The hurricanes almost put me to sleep though. They were so great and had next to no alcohol flavor but certainly had a punch. Placed a to-go order because it is close to a new office location, but $17 for 6 oz. of gumbo and 4 oz. of white rice as the lunch special, ummm...NO! I expect more for my money. Sorry, maybe a sit down meal would be better, but not inclined to try based on my experience. read more
