Had their famous potato churros which were basically bigger and thicker fries? Didn't understand the hype. Had the watermelon salad which was ok, I expected more. Their chilled red wine is my absolute favorite, I've gotten it multiple times. The cacio e pepe ravioli was the star of the show. Delicious!! I would come back only for the pasta and the chilled red wine.

I've been hearing about Martina for a while. I've been to a couple of the sister restaurants like Porzana and Cardamom, so I excited to try this place. They have unique appetizers and I love that they have their own bruschetta section. We got the oysters, potato churros, beef tongue bruschetta, spaghetti with shrimp, and the Nduja. I think the oysters are Porzana are much more exciting and unique, so I'd pass on them here. The potato churros and beef tongue bruschetta were a must try for me. They were so good! For the pastas, I enjoyed the Nduja. It had a bit of a citrus note in it which made it feel "refreshing" even though it was 94 degrees out. My downsides were definitely the fact that the outdoor seating doesn't have any fans to keep patrons cool, it was almost unbearable to sit outside. However, the servers were on top of keeping our cold water topped off. My other con was that the bathroom line was outrageous. Maybe it was just the day I went with my friends, but there were consistently 3+ people waiting in line for the bathroom throughout our entire meal. We all went at different times, but 2 of us just decided not to even wait at that point.

We came here for our anniversary and left amazed by how good the food and drinks were. We started with the potato churros which tasted like a mixture of the best mashed potatoes and fresh fries I've had. The empanadas were good, but I was hoping they were less cheesy and more creamy. The chimichurri adds to the flavor. All our drinks were delicious and I recommend the old fashioned. For the entrees the Tagliatelle with Oxtail and Rigatoni with Oyster Mushrooms both had exquisite sauces. I don't think I could have asked for anything different. I am usually let down by pasta and this did not disappoint. Our server was attentive and welcoming, the table was plated and organized, and we had a nice few other the kitchen and got to see all the meals being plated. This was one of our favorite date nights, and we will be back in the future to try more of the menu!

We went to Martina for brunch and oh my gosh -- the food was excellent. Everything we ordered tasted phenomenal. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of some of the other dishes we tried, but honestly every single thing was delicious. We arrived a little early for our reservation and they were still able to get us seated right away. The staff was friendly, the drinks were excellent, and the overall experience was great. My only real complaint would be parking -- I could definitely see it being a nightmare on a busy evening -- but honestly, the food makes it worth it.

I want to preface by stating Martina is definitely a nice spot; they offer top-tier service and delicious crafted cocktails. However, I was a tad disasapointed in my dish. I ordered the Halibut; based on the price, I was expecting a larger and perfectly cooked portion. However, it was quite small, dry and overcooked. The presentation was beautiful; lots of vibrant colors and quite fragrant. This is not a reflection on the server because she was awesome; it was a very busy day so maybe the quality diminished. That being said, I would love to give them another shot because of the drinks and the appetizers; the potato churros are a MUST. The ambiance is definitely worth it especially for outdoor patio dining on a warm summer day. I would give it a shot but just know this place is quite spendy and parking in this area [Linden hills] is a challenge

I think I found my new fav spot. Sad that it is 5.5 hours from my home so will def have to make a trip put to Minneapolis again just for Martina. We got some delicious pasta, potato churros, and dessert. It was the best dessert I've ever had and I've had desserts all over the world. The pan queue! It was a crepe with dulcet de Leche, bananas, crystallized sugar, and some type of cream on top. Everything was so good and it being my first time in Minneapolis, had no idea there were such good restaurants here. I am fairly new to living in the Midwest (moved from LA to Omaha) so I tend to compare everything to LA. Omaha is a small big city and while there are really good restaurants, none that have made me think this is the best thing ever. I know I raved about the dessert but the gin cocktail I got and the pastas we ordered were so good. It is a cute restaurant with an open kitchen which I love so you can watch your food being made. Will def be making the trip to Minneapolis to eat at Martina!

Oysters were fresh and delicious. The empanadas were delectable.

What a treat! Went here for a special occasion. Very nice ambiance. Dimly lit restaurant that had very attentive servers. Did not know what to order and was recommended an excellent pasta. The cocktails complemented the dishes exquisitely. Recommend for a nice date night or anniversary.

The food was out of this world to the oysters and the empanadas and the dishes. The ambience was really romantic and it's a place you go for dates or special occasions. Prices are reasonable. The service was good.

    A pleasant room.

We returned to Martina after a long absence. There was no logical reason for our absence. Maybe parking fears or an aversion to the Linden Hills Waspy and Patrician demographic caused us to hesitate. At 5:30 on a Thursday, the lovely bar was almost empty, and we grabbed two of the uncomfortable stools. It's hard to find fault with any of the Del Prado establishments. Martina might have been his first, and it's aging gracefully. Bex was our server, and he was friendly, conversing with us readily. You don't always experience that in Minneapolis. After relaxing with a cocktail and glass of wine, we ordered the empanadas, the Cacio e Pepe ravioli, and the Wagyu Zabuton. Zabuton sounds like a medical device, but it's a chuck steak that is very tender. Everything tasted fantastic, with the Cacio e Pepe a member of the Hall of Fame. Martina is a great restaurant, and I will return

Went here over the weekend and really enjoyed our experience. The food was great (slightly spicy) but delicious. The food came out quickly and our server (Jenny) was very nice. The restaurant wasn't too loud but it was definitely busy. I'd recommend making a reservation.

Had dinner with co-workers at Martina last night. Loved the vibes of this whole area. Near a beautiful lake close be, nestle in a cute and quaint little shopping and food area, Martina had upscale vibes and delicious food. Started with the grilled watermelon appetizer, and a lemongrass cocktail. My main dish was the 8oz hanger steak, and my coworkers had various pastas and ravioli. Everything was delicious. The grilled watermelon was so light and refreshing and my hanger steak so juicy and flavorful. Our server was very attentive. Loved the outdoor patio!

A Minneapolis Essential - 10/10 If you only have one dinner in Minneapolis, make it Martina. This Argentinian powerhouse is easily one of the best dining experiences in the city. The Standouts: * Mushroom Rigatoni: Hands down, some of the best pasta I've ever had. It's earthy, rich, and a total must-order. * The Apps: Do not leave without trying the Potato Churros (trust me on this) and the Empanadas. They set the bar incredibly high for the rest of the meal. * other Pasta: While the mushroom rigatoni is the star, their various seafood pastas (lobster or shrimp spaghetti is a highlight) as well as the sausage orecchiette are equally refined and fresh. The vibe is chic, the cocktails are top-tier, and the food is flawless. Service is fast and helpful. It's a 10/10 every single time. Absolute must-visit!

What is the dinner dress code?

I suggest casually nice and dressy.

    Is outside seating heated?

No. Outside seating is not heated.

How is the outdoor seating? Better to sit inside or out?

We were there on Saturday for a Father's Day brunch. There was very limited seating outdoors on busy Upton Ave, with maybe 3 or 4 tables, and it wasn't a very pleasant ambiance either. Inside is quite nice so I recommend indoor seating.

Are you still serving brunch on the weekends?

    Not at this time.

Are there eggs in the potato churros?

No, no eggs in the churros. We do serve a spicy mayo with them and there is egg in the mayo.

Do they have a kids menu?

The atmosphere is kid friendly and I don't remember seeing anything about a kid's menu. I would not recommend bringing children.

Are any of the cocktails sugar free or have no added sugars?

Yes! I don't remember the name though...

Do they have Vegan Brunch options?

Hi, Terri, as I recall it was pretty limited for vegan options. Lots of egg and seafood type options. Hope this helps.

Do they have a happy hour during the week?

    No happy hour

Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. It was a myopic move and a passive-aggressive way to handle my request. In my birthplace home of NYC, a bartender would have said, "Getting a cucumber slice is a pain in the rear, would you mind skipping it?" My response, "Sure, it's not a big deal."

Once seated in comfortable chairs at a table, we were quickly greeted and provided with menus. The cocktail selection is relatively "small" but really nicely varied. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. I enjoyed the meditteránea. I'll very likely be back! What a neat spot.
