The udon is thick, chewy, and perfectly cooked, with a light but deeply flavorful broth that's great on a rainy day. Service is quick and efficient despite the crowds and even the takeout holds up surprisingly well. The vibe is casual and bustling (not fancy at all) but exactly what you want for a quick meal between stops. There is always a line at all times of the day but it goes pretty fast. There is also a take out window that you can walk up to and order to go. We love the tempura shrimp potatoes eggplants and musubi ! Check out the menu online or just before entering the restaurant. Came here on a recommendation of a local and it did not disappoint. There was a small line after 1pm on a Tuesday but it goes quickly. The variety of dishes and tempura is sure enough to satisfy everyone. My partner and I got the gyudon and it was delicious. Next you get to choose the extra sides (fried food) to go with your entree. Then you pay at the end. Beef udon- portion is definitely well worth the price. This is a very affordable place. They are that big bowl of udon and plenty of beef is only 12.99! What a steal! The sides ranges from like $3 to $6 I think? Broth is flavorful and a tad salty but not too much. I added some spicy powder and that's the way to go for me. Chicken katsu curry - I believe this dish is $12-13? They pack you with a ton of rice! Meat is a good portion as well. Curry is yummy. Definitely worth it. By the time we left, there was a line outside already (lunch time) but it moves very fast since things are pre-cooked and they're just putting it together.
