Finally. A Marugame udon near my hometown & I no longer have to drive to LA or OC to get it! This udon soup always hits the spot. We even had it in London (& after eating Italian food for a week, I was grateful to have some Asian food!). This udon place always hits the spot no matter which location I'm eating at! The tempura had just the right batter. Fried to the perfect temperature. The soup was good but I wish they added more beef. There was more noodles than meat. My hubby & I got a large bowl to share & it was more than enough for us (since we got a few tempura with it). The total was around $27 which was kinda pricey considering we shared. Otherwise service was excellent. Quick & efficient. The location was in the heart of Victoria gardens making it very convenient to come in to grab a quick bite & go back to shopping. we went on a Saturday night around 6:30pm & there was absolutely no line. I'm glad Victoria gardens is starting to have more diverse food!

Marugame Udon is a great casual spot for a satisfying meal. There is public parking available, plenty of seating, and the food is cooked fast. They now offer several cooked-to-order menu items in addition to their regular udon selections, and the self-serve toppings make it easy to customize your bowl. Since some items are identified and priced visually at checkout, it is worth double-checking the receipt with the cashier to make sure everything was entered correctly. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable place for a quick meal.

Always consistent with quality. The nikutama which is their specialty is always good. Really excited to try their new clam udon which was really good. It comes with lots of clams and a ginger butter to mix into the broth. So good! Also great that they have outdoor seating. Love their toppings bar as always.

First time dining at this location of Marugame Udon, and it was just as yummy as the only other location (Oahu) that I've been to. Food was delish, and the service was good. Only difference is the line doesn't go around the block like in Hawaii...lol! To be noted: if you want piping hot fresh tempura (or other items of the sort), ask them to make it for you. I didn't last night and just pulled it from the self serve counter. It was good, but not sizzling hot like I like it. As for our dinner, we each ordered the chashu tonkatsu style udon and some other goodies. Everything was served fresh and tasty.

We visit Victoria Garden specifically for Marugame Udon because it's hot and new at Rancho Cucamonga. Restaurant is spacious, the layout is similar with other chains, open kitchen and you order and pay at the end. Mostly self service. They are friendly, and also very busy. This location has a special teppan yaki udon menu. We try the teppan beef yaki ; the chicken katsu looks good too. Other dishes we try are Nicutama udon, creamy broth udon, BK udon large. Basically all the eggs, meat are savory, and soup is on the sweeter side. Udon noodles are chewy and soft. It's tasty and most kids will enjoy it. This Udon place is good for quick meal. Most people will enjoy it. They also have some fritters (a bit less in my opinion).

One thing i love about Marugame is how good all their locations are. I've visited the chino hills and victoria gardens location and they're both amazing. I was too hungry and didn't even take a picture but I got #2 per the server's recommendation and i absolutely loved it! It was a little creamy but not too much, just more than the dashi ones which is what i needed. I felt the dashi is abit too salty for me. The place has plenty of seating too, with a nice view of the outdoor mall so the vibes were very peaceful~

My family and I have been to Marugame Udon in Rancho Cucamonga twice, both times for weekend lunch. Surprisingly, there was no line either visit. This place is basically fast food for udon with a cafeteria-style setup. You grab a tray, order your udon, pick any tempura or sides you want, pay, and then find an open table. It's casual, quick, and easy. We tried the Nikutama Udon, the creamy broth udon, and a few tempura items. Everything was good, but nothing was especially memorable or mind-blowing. It's exactly what you would expect from fast-casual udon--decent, filling, and convenient. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. There is plenty of indoor seating, plus a shaded outdoor seating area where you can bring your dog. Parking is also easy since it's located in an outdoor shopping center, with lots in front and a nearby parking garage. Overall, this is a decent spot when you're craving udon or tempura and want something quick. It gets the job done, but it's not somewhere I would go out of my way for.

Seating area. Very open and spacious.

My fiance came here to celebrate our engagement and he wanted to try it here (since I've been here before). We both ordered the nikutama udon. And grabbed some tempura. While walking down the line to pay, my egg yolk was broken and I noticed something green. When we got to the register to pay the guy said it was an eggshell. Luckily they exchanged it pretty quick and I got a nice, fresh new udon. The cashier was really nice and helpful. As we were enjoying our meal, my fiance asked one of the workers if they do anything for celebrations since we were there celebrating. I told him it wasn't that kind of place, but he asked anyways. Then comes the manager who came to congratulate us and gave us some drinks. He was super nice! Best service I've experienced. The ambiance was chill. It wasn't noisy, but where there are a lot of people it can get loud. They also have outdoor seating.

Marugame Udon is a chain restaurant with locations throughout California and several other states. This was my second time trying the chain while at Victoria Gardens after visiting the Santa Anita location awhile back. Hands down this location was superior in quality, taste, and service. Highly recommend visiting for tasty udon freshly prepared in front of you. Portions are even standardized via a weight system to ensure each visit is just as good. #Beware the line can be long at peak hours and seating challenging!

Came here with my husband to try this location we had tried it once in Hawaii and really enjoyed it so we wanted to see if this one was any different. Most of it was the same a few differences but overall very good. The noodles are cooked perfect and the broth tasted amazing definitely will be coming back 10/10 Service was also very good. They were fast and even though the line was outside it went by very fast.. There was also a lot of seating so you never had to wait

5 stars - easily one of the best ramen and katsu spots I've ever tried. The broth is rich, the noodles are perfectly chewy, and the katsu is super crispy and flavorful. The manager makes the place incredibly welcoming, walking you through how to order and offering tips on what to try. We honestly wouldn't have gone in if he hadn't been so friendly, and now this is one of our favorite ramen places in Ontario.

Fast casual restaurant good for a quick meal. Udon noodles are made fresh and you can taste the chewiness. The flavor is on the sweet side because of the beef and sauce used. The bowl of noodle is reasonably priced. I'd avoid the fried sides next time because they are a little dry sitting in the warmer. I did like the potatoes croquette. There is a self serve station for condiments including tempura dipping sauce.

The food here is good. It seems completely different from the Marugame Udon restaurant in little tokyo L.A. The LA location has their famous uni udon and view of the employees handmaking the noodles. Unfortunately, you will not see that here on the menu and it seems like a fast food type of the place. This is like a chipotle where you pick your own ingredients and toppings with tongs. The udon here is soft and chewy. I will skip the egg next time, since I have a better tasting egg at home. The egg here was not good. It was cold and runny when I put it in my soup. The shrimp tempura and the chicken katsu is fresh and tasty. I would come back since the food is good. Good location and lunch spot.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

I called to let them know and they were completely understanding! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Waters were brought to the table quickly as well. The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!

The space doesn't remind me of a sushi restaurant and more of a sports bar, but the space was playing the World Cup and was fit for the occasion. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me.
