What an incredible experience. Every dish was outstanding, but the pork belly absolutely stole the show. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and one of the best I've ever had. The peach burrata was fresh, creative, and unbelievably delicious. And if you're debating the gnocchi, don't. It's absolutely fire. What really elevated the evening, though, was Claudio. He made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in and delivered the kind of hospitality that turns a great meal into a memorable experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back before you've even left. Easily one of my new favorite spots. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience here! We ordered the pasta, steak, and lamb chops, and everything was delicious. The steak was especially memorable--it had an amazing crispy crust unlike any I've had before. What stood out most was how warm and welcoming the restaurant felt, like enjoying a home-cooked meal at a family member's house. Our waitress and the entire staff were incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Aside from the steak and salad, I felt like the other dishes could use a boost of flavor, but I would still definitely recommend this spot and can't wait to return!

Late night snack as we arrived from LAX, and made our way to N Hollywood. We split a pasta/spaghetti dish and a nice green salad. Both were excellent. No bread but they did bring us a crostini. Hard to dunk that in the delicious sauce. My iced tea was bottled. I think that's odd in a craft restaurant. Nice service from someone who I think is the owner. I understand this to be a neighborhood gem. Good luck.

What a hidden gem in N. Hollywood. Such a beautiful, cozy spot with both the interior and outdoor space thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. Our server, Diana, was incredibly attentive and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious; the pork belly, the salad, and the branzino were standouts. Our only mistake was talking too much and not diving into the pasta right away, but even then, it was still very good. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. I'd love to come back during the day to fully enjoy the greenery under the turf. They also have a nice wine list. Street parking is available and wasn't an issue for us. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

We celebrated my birthday here for the first time. The food was outstanding, I had the most tender steak that melted in my mouth, the mashed potatoes were delicious, but the serving size wasn't enough for me. We had 2 delicious salads too. We all had great lattes and our desserts were ok, I've had better. My experience was a great one!

I came to Mater to give my mom a wonderfully, unforgettable birthday dinner and this was the perfect place to do just that. Mater is a fine-dining restaurant that feels secluded and romantic located in North Hollywood.. yes, close enough so you don't have to drive far if you're a SFV local. We were greeted with a kind face at the door and quickly seated. We were given a quick, informative run down of the menu and we ordered two appetizers; pictured below is what the table ordered. I can go on for days about how AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS the food was, but I will say that you must experience the delectable flavors yourself. The food was a 100/10 along with the food presentation... I mean come ONNN Mater is will be back to reorder everything again.

Went there on a Sunday evening at around 7pm. We were lucky enough to find parking on the street! No wait, thankfully, and it was a comfortable evening so we sat on the patio. They had heated lamps so it felt super cozy! I would give this restaurant 4/5 for our first visit. Here's what we ordered: - Gnocchi Fritti 4/5 they were a little too soft but still yummy - Tagliatelle Verde Bolognese 4/5 the menu says it's made with slow braised wagyu beef ragu so I had higher expectations for this dish - Panna Cotta 4/5 too bad it was a little too "liquidy" Service was good, the waitress was nice and came several times during dinner to check in on us, sometimes too soon lol however, at the end, around 8-830pm, we were the last guests and it took a while to get the check, even though we asked for it and she said she'd be back. Since we were waiting for a long time, we decided to just get up and walk back inside the restaurant to pay. As we got back inside, the waitress was having a moment with her partner (owner?) which explained why she didn't come back with the check for a while. It got a bit awkward since we had interrupted them. Luckily, they had a super cute Australian shepherd so we focused our attention on the dog instead, paid and left. Maybe we'll come back and try other items on the menu, I'm not sure. All in all, I'd say it's a cute place for a date.

Nice back patio area, covered, with plenty of heaters for the colder months. Parking is easy in this neighborhood. Mater Caesar - oddly fishy for us. Nice big sheets of parmenggiano on top, fresh romaine hearts underneath, crostini on the side. It seems like the crayfish is in the dressing in the place of a traditional anchovy. Beta - beet salad, which was quite nice. Mellow goat cheese and a generous helping of beets, with grilled endive. Pork Belly appetizer - this was the stand out for me. One big pork belly chunk and one bug delightfully fried potato gratin square with a sea salt panna cotta glaze on the plate. Really interesting flavors and so good together. Tagliatelle Verde Ragu - excellent Ragu. The pasta could have been a more al dente, but it all tastes really nice together. I would get this again. We were also interested to try the gnocchi fritti and the truffle pasta, so we have that to look fwd to next time! They are trying some interesting things here.

This place is amazing! Please support this local business. The food is very good and the people here are so nice. They actually prepared my food the way I requested without an issue. I will definitely come here again. The pasta was al dente and the dishes were full of flavor. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine and enjoyed the day inside because the weather was a bit warm. If you get a chance, their outdoor seating is lovely and gives a great relaxing vibe. Parking is a challenge. I only found street parking. Prices are moderate.

Genuinely one of the BEST food i've had in LA! The place is run by an Italian guy and he's so sweet, he walks around and talks to each table and makes sure everyone is satisfied and having a good time. The best service ever! This small business deserves hordes of people coming in and trying the food, because EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!!!! We got the peaches and burrata appetizer and the verde arugula salad and were instantly impressed. Then the branzino and bolognese entrees came out, and we were blown away. The food, the service, the intimate setting, everything was amazing.

What a gem! Found this restaurant last minute an hour before closing. They were so accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing. Al dente Pomodoro pasta, delicious pork chop and wagyu burger. Ended the evening with a delicious panna cotta. Definitely a must try!

A realtor I recently worked with to sell two properties wanted to catch up and present me with a little something for the opportunity at Ca' Del Sole. I'd driven by this place since I often worked in the area or used the streets as a shortcut of sorts, while this was relatively close to his office in Studio City. Opened in 1994 by restaurateur Rudolfo Costella and fellow Venetian Master Chef Antonio Tommasi, the idea was to offer a glimpse into the atmosphere, cuisine, and culture of Northern Italy and a Venetian country inn in the center of the San Fernando Valley. Costella has since expanded his empire with a few more restaurants in Phoenix, AZ and Southern California, respectively. Would I feel at home under the guise of the warm Northern Italian sun!? PURCHASE(S) Breads & Dipping Sauce (COMP): Fresh puffy warm breads and an olive tapenade dipping sauce was a beautiful way to get this lunch started! It was refillable, but we were good. Peroni Nastro Azzurro Pale Lager Beer 5.1% ABV 12floz Bottle ($7.00): Amber honey color, honey malty aroma, light body, light bready malty flavor, clean effervescent finish, and a light malty sweet aftertaste. An easy Italian birra! Squash Blossoms 3pc ($21.95): We shared this lovely appetizer that was airy and lightly fried with a creamy sauce bed. I loved this creative healthy dish! Minestrone Soup Bowl ($13.50): Loaded with a bunch of fresh vegetables and a low-sodium broth, this was hearty and simple, but I liked my realtor's soup more. Asparagus Soup Bowl ($13.50): My realtor let me try his soup, which was an odd nuclear-yellow color, creamy, light, and silky smooth - heavenly! Shrimp Fusilli ($23.95): Homemade green fusilli and medium shrimp in a buttery creamy sauce topped with grated cheese, the portion was smaller than expected, but each bite was blissful, and I used the bread to wipe down my bowl! Salmon Farfalle ($23.95): My realtor let me try his heaping entree portion of thick chunks of tender salmon and velvety pasta in a butternut squash sauce - yummy Valet Parking ($7.00): Cash only, there weren't any other onsite options. SERVICE Once we arrived for our reservation, the lovely young hostess sat us in a relaxing cabana outside in the back patio where we were greeted by a friendly older gentleman server armed with menus and glasses of water. We took forever to order (sorry!), so he went over the specials, which we pretty much ordered from. Our drinks and bread basket arrived quickly followed by the appetizer, then our soups, and finally our entrees all spaced out as they checked on us regularly. Everything was casual and professional - grazie! PARKING ($7.00; valet only): They had a private lot. Otherwise, I should've done what my realtor did and parked along the main drag of Cahuenga Blvd. with meters - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A deceptively large layout once you entered the waiting area with a separate bar area nearby, an indoor dining area off in another direction, and then the amazing outdoor dining area with its mix of cabanas and open-air tables among plants and trees. Obviously, there was plenty of natural light outside (I couldn't say about the inside) while various electric lights covered the rest. It had a very European relaxed feel. I saw a TV in the bar area but couldn't recall any background music other than the street traffic. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was so happy to finally try Ca' Del Sole and couldn't wait to return, especially to try their Happy Hour (MO-FR 5pm-Close in the bar lounge area only; everything $5.00). The food was awesome, the menu selection was vast, the prices were a touch elevated, the atmosphere was European casual, and the service was top-notch. Plus, I preferred to support small mom & pop businesses whenever possible (sure, they owned a few other restaurants). I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $127.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

From my first call to restaurateur Eric to make a reservation earlier in the week, the experience was as warm and personable as can be. Within minutes of our arrival, we were greeted by co-restaurateur Antonio, and we instantly felt like family at the beautiful, private table they had thoughtfully reserved for us by the window. Our wonderful server, Jessica, made the night even brighter. We started with some Peach Puree Bellini Prosecco that was crisp, refreshing, and beyond amazing. The food arrived with impressive speed, but the quality was truly second to none. My wife absolutely loved the special of the night--a Tiger Shrimp and Asparagus Linguini--and my Angus Beef Bolognese with savory short rib ragu was easily the best I've ever had. Hehe I ordered the 4-cheese Ravioli in tomatoe sauce, and it's unlike any I've EVER had. It's about 5 inches in diameter, round+ mostly flat, and not too salty. Absolutely delicious! Jessica offered to sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, the service! Unmatched. The Italian seasoning added to the tomatoe sauce, makes it sweeter, aromatic. If you're familiar with my reviews, I'm always searching for vegetarian options. For desert we had the Panna Cotta with wild berries. Excellent, yummy! And we kept it cozy, with mint hot tea. Which is always a go-to around the Xmas holidays. The decor is northern Italian elegance: hand painted art, crystal chandeliers, and white linens abound. The food and the experience were excellent. Our server was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations to start the night. We began with the house bread, which was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and served with balsamic and olive oil. Simple and delicious. Next up was their homemade Caesar salad. Instead of traditional croutons they use toasted crumbs, and honestly it was a game changer. The texture worked perfectly with the dressing. For our mains we had the Dover sole piccata which was bright, buttery, and exactly what we were craving, along with the seafood linguine that was rich and flavorful. We wrapped things up with a cappuccino cheesecake and an Americano which was the perfect way to end the meal. Great service, great food, and a really enjoyable dinner overall. 10/10 recommend. PS: The playlist was hitting perfectly.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully inviting. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail, definitely recommend the octopus to die for! The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, Roger, was extremely knowledgeable attentive, and made us feel genuinely appreciated throughout the evening. He was knowledgeable about the menu and ensured everything was perfect. The live music was on point Andy Vargas & La Verdad loved his performance! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, this restaurant is definitely worth visiting. The combination of exceptional food, excellent service, and a wonderful ambiance made for a memorable experience. I can't wait to come back!

The usually have a live band after 7pm and the sound in the resturant is amazing. It's like a recording studio. The staff was very friendly! The decor and ambiance was also impressive. Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.
