Mushroom Ravioli

Great place for a quiet conversation with friends or a romantic spot for a date. The pasta was very good. They have a nice wine list and full bar. The ambiance is a casual but romantic bistro.

Cute little spot in Tribeca. The gnocchi was really good and Caesar salad was a nice size. I wish the pasta came with bread. Service was just ok. I walked in with no reservation and it was no problem.

Carbonara
Hayward L.

Casual Italian bistro with a pleasant outdoor space, it feels very authentic. There are about 10 - 12 pasta choices and 6 other mains including chicken and eggplant parms. The wine list is not super extensive but there are some classic Italian choices on there like the Chianti and Montepulciano. The wines are about $16 per glass which seems slightly above average. I would recommend the oricchetti but they ran out of that on my last visit, so I went for the carbonara instead. Carbonara sounds simple but it is a difficult dish to make well and this chef absolutely nailed it. Chicken parm was very good, tender and thin with the right amount of breading and sauce. The portions are very generous overall, so it is fairly good value for money and nice to share several dishes if you have more than 1 - 2 people.

I don't understand how a place with amazing food can be so below standards with service!!! We ordered the truffle fries for starters along with the Burrata which was amazing! The side bread and oil was really good too. I ordered the ricotta and spinach ravioli which was so soft and melted with every bite. The sage seasoning was the right amount and it was truly the perfect dish. It did feel a little cooler than the temperature it should've been at but it makes sense why: The service was EXTREMELY slow. I don't know if they understand how severely short staffed they are but they need to hire more people for the amount of clients they get. I'm convinced my ravioli was sitting for a few minutes at the chef's station before it was brought out for me because the waiter probably was serving multiple tables. The person at the bar took our order for drinks and had to be reminded 3 times for forgetting one. The main dishes didn't arrive long after we were done with our starters. This really needs to be looked into because the food and restaurant in itself is really cute. The restaurant has a very rustic charm and great for dinners and drinks.

My daughter and I enjoyed a Monday dinner here. Quiet and yummy! She had the Ravioli Ai Porcini and I had the Orecchiette Pugliesi. The ravioli was super rich and she could barely finish it!

Went to Max on one of the sweltering days last week. We had a nice table indoors by an open window, which made for a great breeze. The service was friendly but very infrequent towards the end when they understandably got busy. We had to try to find him just to close out and leave the food was pretty good but could have used more parmesan and flavoring. I was warned that it was spicy, but spiciness is certainly relative. A word of caution: the bathroom door does not fully latch, so be mindful if you need to use the restroom.

While picking up some furniture for our new home, we were in Tribeca on empty stomachs. We walked around the streets of Manhattan and found this quaint little Italian restaurant. We took a look at the menu and asked the waiter, "How long is the wait for a table for 2?" He had replied, "no wait, come right on in." What a good decision that turned out to be. Here is my review of Max. Food 4/5: - started off with some lukewarm bread and olive oil - Highly recommend the truffle fries as it is a large portion for 2 people and very flavorful. They are not heavy so you can eat a lot and still have lots of room for the main course - We ordered the Fusilli al Pesto and loved it. Perfect amount of food for 2 people to share. - Good selection of vegetarian options Service 5/5: - We were seated immediately and had a lovely waiter who made sure we were enjoying our experience Ambience 5/5: - beautifully decorated interior that has the charm of a classic Italian restaurant. - The outdoor seating also looked very welcoming, however we didn't have coats so we opted for the indoor - Perfect place for a date night or grab food with friends

Rigatoni Al Rag Napoletano
Sabrina P.

Came here on a Thursday night with a reservation. The service was pretty timely and friendly. The Cabernet wine tasted pretty good and I thought my pasta was a 4/5 star dish. I got the rigatoni with meatballs and sausage. The portion was very filling. Interesting portion between meatballs and sausage. There was one long link of a sausage I had to cut up and then about 3 big meatballs that tasted a bit burnt yet also mushy but really tasty with the seasoning. I liked the ambiance and atmosphere of this place. Definitely good for a date night or dinner with friends!

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. We went in December night of 2024 so some aspects of the menu have changed however, most of the dishes still appear to be on their menu as of now, June 2026. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

I only had a late lunch because I wasn't super hungry, but what I had was pretty tasty. Honestly, I was inspired to write this review for the salad lol. The INSALATA VERDE, was freaking incredible. UGH. So fresh and the flavors were perfect. I also got a pasta, CAVATELLI ALLO SCOGLIO, but sadly wasn't that into it. All of the flavors were good, I just think it didn't come together in a way that my taste buds enjoyed lol. But I can't say it was nasty, just not my vibe. Overall was a great visit, and a great location for a cute lunch in the city, especially if you're near the highline! Oh! And I can't forget the cute little welcome wine that they have in the elevator. It's only on the second floor, but it was a nice experience.

The salad had a unique, slightly bitter flavor that was unexpected but surprisingly delicious and well-balanced. My steak was the only disappointment. I didn't get a chance to try dessert, but the dessert menu looked incredible and definitely gave me a reason to come back. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning.

The pasta was al dente perfection and most importantly there were generous sauce portions. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and personable. I dined with a friend and we ordered 3 pastas instead of an appetizer (fantastic choice). We tried the following dishes: *Garganelli Mushroom Ragu and Ricotta Salata. This was by far our favorite dish. It was bursting with flavor, had tons of sauce and cheese and was perfectly cooked. If you enjoy mushroom you MUST order this!! *Tagliatelle Bolognese Bianco (Chicken, Veal, Pork) and Parmigiano. Which was so delicious and has plenty of meat and sauce. The tagliatelle was amazing and tasted to fresh. *Bucatini with Pancetta, Tomato, Chilies and Pecorino. We thought this was good but our least favorite dish of the 3. Honorable mention to the spaghetti that my friend had at her last visit. She said it was fresh and delicious but almost too rich which she mostly owned to it being a white sauce.

We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified. We told them the time of our show, food was out quickly, nicely presented, still hot and very tasty. The restaurant was not noisy and had space between the tables. It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!
